The best! Stressed, I needed to replace broken nut and bolt that held footrest on family member's wheelchair. From previous visits, knew I wouldn't have to walk a mile to find someone who might be able to get the right size. He was knowledgeable, friendly, a problem-solver, testing the fit to be sure it was going to work - and tightened it on for me! Also, it was easy for me to find a bunch of other things needed for crafts and home maintenance. Made my day, and I'm sure that will continue. DMI - thank you!

We walked into DMI early Saturday afternoon and were greeted by Brian, one of the weekend managers. He was so knowledgeable and so helpful. He took us right where we needed to be, showed us things, informed us on how to build our garden bed...so much personal attention even though they were busy. We were in and out in record time! The customer service we experienced was incredible and DMI had everything we needed! We will definitely continue to support DMI!

DMI Home Supply is my go-to place for all my equipment rental needs and hardware supplies. From electrical equipment to plumbing equipment, they have it all! Their team is very knowledgeable, professional, and always helpful when it comes to understanding the products and tools that are available to rent or purchase. They take care of me every time I stop by. They also have party tents for rent which are great for graduation parties and would be great for an outdoor wedding reception party tent. Stay away from big box chains like home depot and lowes, and help support small businesses like DMI. You will be glad you did!

Please note. DMI can be initially intimidating to non Tradesmen and at times, It can feel like one is on their own or being judged there, but this is more of a Blue Collar Delco thing than anything personal I think. DMI is superior to Do It Best in many ways and I will often go to DMI before a big box store. They are very helpful and knowledgeable, but the OG older employees are very matter of fact and not chatty kinds of people. It’s best to know what you want, although you can honestly ask them all you need to, but they are expected to be upfront at the registers, so they can seem abrupt. Younger workers there are more patient. Once I realized all this, my experience there improved.The lumber selection and prices are good. Definitely Better than Do It Best and the quality usually (not always price) is better typically than Big Box Stores. Don’t take anything personally, they are just old school Delco types (from my perspective). I recommend them.

Rented 15 tables (assorted sizes) and 40 chairs for a Friday evening event. As promised they were delivered Thursday afternoon and picked up Saturday morning. The tables were very sturdy (and heavy) being long with wood tops. The chairs were perfect. They delivered and left them in our back/side yard and picked them up the same. Thom was great to work with. Others promised a Monday pick up which didn't work for our schedule. D.M.I. did what we asked and had a Saturday pick up!! Best price in the area, too!! Would not hesitate to use them again based on our experience with this little order!!

This is a fantastic store and just a what a hardware store should be. I am new to the area and came to the store on a friend's recommendation. Everyone here is super knowledgeable and friendly. I got the parts I needed and the advice and instruction on how to do the job. Thanks to this store my plumbing problem was solved. Highly recommended.

Visited this store to have duplicate house keys made. The young woman who waited on me was very helpful, and made my visit a very pleasant one. Both keys were properly cut, and they worked fine in my locks.

The people who work here are friendly and helpful. They also have a cute cat that wanders around. There are plenty of useful products and tools, some things look like they were bought ten years ago and pushed aside for other items, which I like because it means they probably have that obscure thing you're looking for. Everything is really well priced and the experience shopping there is much better than any chain hardware store.

I rented their lawn mower 06/20/23 & the gas cap kept falling out of place. Since the motor vibrates, as all gas powered motors do, the cap kept falling off & gas constantly escaped from the tank & onto the grass. I'm sure I'll find dead spots this coming week.It was their job to inspect the mower prior to renting it out. I tried to tell the owner, he was not at all interested. He instructed me to tell his staffer, and the staffer was hardly interested either. If I need to rent equipment in the future then I'll go to Lowes.

I have been going to DMI for years and the folks there couldn’t be nicer, more knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond. They have cut a million pieces of wood for me for projects since i don’t have room for a table saw, and offered advice and creative solutions so many times when i was stumped on something. they have a great selection of things, often specialty items that you can’t find in a big box store. they are the best and i drive all the way from the west philly to them.

Whether it’s a small screw, nut or bolt or something more elaborate that requires some sound building advice, I use DMI in Ardmore. Their helpful advice can usually solve your problem whether they have the item or not, but in most cases, they do. I used DMI for many years. Not to be missed, is the huge tool rental business that they do. I’ve rented lawn aerators in the past and gotten the job done quickly and in budget. Great place to do business.

I live 1/4 mile down the road so I am here pretty often for household items and rentals. When I think about moving, I hesitate because I know I won't have such a great resource right down the street. Half of the people in there know my name, and all of them ask me within a minute if they can point me in the right direction. I am not very handy, so often I have to explain my situation, and no matter who I am talking to, they know just what to recommend. This place is as good as it gets.

Not only are staff always available to answer questions, they are incredibly helpful when doing so. My family has brought in projects ranging from making a cornhole game to building walls in our basement. The staff have patiently stepped us through the process and guided us to the right (and not most expensive) tools for our specific needs. Can't recommend highly enough. The only silver lining of Rickland's closing was that we started coming to DMI.

I needed a tiny thin thread screw with a hex-wrench top to replace one that was lost from a bathroom hardware set. It was a highly specialized piece of equipment and I was expecting not to be able to replace it. I didn't know where to look and knew I would need help, so I went straight to DMI. The owner spent 10 minutes with me trying different screws before we actually found one that did fit -- all at a cost of $1.06. (But of course the saved expense of not needing to replace the bathroom wall mount is not factored in.) I NEVER would have been able to get at Lowes or any big box store. I told him I would put DMI in my will. :-)

Everyone of the guys goes beyond the call of duty to offer exceptional customer serviceAs a female , I’m beyond shocked at other posted experiences from women . I have always had a genuine and professional experience . As the owner of a Drapery workroom , I use lumber all the time. I know that I cannot get boards cut EVER at the big box stores let alone find someone to answer technical installation questions .It’s a rare thing to find a hardware store that puts customer service first . This is a very personable spot that caters to our community and we are all fortunate to have them here.I've been a customer for over 20 years and can’t imagine ever going anywhere else .

Though they may not compete with the prices of the big box hardware stores they can offer actual knowledge of their products that the other stores can't. Their friendly staff can find products for you and help you with what you need them for. They also have a good selection of rental tools and party rental supplies

I have always been impressed by the detail and width of the stuff that is being sold in the store-----after hearing the problem, the staff are precise and candid about the fix, the strengths and weaknesses, any risks, and even other less costly solutions----their style has always been firm, direct, and even sometimes asking you to spend a tiny bit more, but never without a sound reason or explanation. Chuck, Brian, and Sal are all the leading edge of advice and fixes!

Although the Google listing says that the staff wear masks, when i was there, they were not. Also, an elderly customer pointed this out and left, and afterwards some of the staff laughed at her expense. I’m not clear whether the staff are required to mask, and they seem otherwise helpful, but I’m just saying if i were elderly and vulnerable to covid, i might want to know their policy before i go.

This small appearing hardware store is anything but small. Jam packed with, plumbing and electrical supplies, tools, lumber and most everything else you will need for DIY, repairs etc around the home or yard. Lots of attentive help from knowledgable and friendly employees. Not a lot of parking but fast in and out good service makes it worth the wait. Highly recommended.

The employees are always helpful and knowledgeable when going into DMI to purchasing a product for a project. Unlike big box stores that I have to walk a long distance to find someone who might know about a specific product. Also I like supporting family owned businesses in the community. which in turn support the local causes.

I don't know about those negative reviews but when I walk in the door, there are always more than one offers to help me find something and everyone is friendly. If they don't have something, they offer to try and find it for you or tell you where you can find something. I highly recommend them. Comparing prices, sure the big box stores can be cheaper but DMI is so much closer and the money you save by going to Lowes or Home Depot isn't worth the time and fuel.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I have visited DMI Home Supply & Renter Center several times this month and Mike, the owner Tom's son, has a major attitude problem especially with women. When I went to purchase garden soil he was nasty and too busy to help me load it in the car, When I got home he over charged me for the number of bags I purchased. Buyer Be Ware! They are always too busy to help you or care about you at DMI. Another fact, when I went to get dry wall bolts to hang a mirror they were not only unfriendly but Mike was rude to me again! Mike and Tom talk down to their customers. They DISCRIMINATE against women! If you are not a contractor they will not give you the time of day. I went to purchases flag supplies and asked if they could cut a steel rod down for me. Mike's response was NO they do not do that and even if they did he was too busy and refused to sell me my flag supplies. I totally lost it but then apologized. They refused to sell me my flag supplies. I felt totally mistreated and disrespected!! I will never step foot in DMI again and neither should you! NEVER SHOP AT DMI.
