It's about the wine and I am a wine snob. Stunning whites for any place on the planet let alone eastern PA. Known for their Gruner Veltliner. Also great with Riesling. Sparkling versions of both are superb. Been buying these wines for a decade. They are very consistently excellent.

Absolutely fantastic local vineyard. The views from there and getting there are breathtaking! Reminds me of driving through Europe. The owners are so kind and produce an outstanding line of wines. There's something for everyone, even folks who "don't like wine". Grab a bottle, some snacks, and head to lawn to soak up the pocono countryside. This is must do if you're looking to explore the best PA has to offer!

🏅GOLD Medal for service, patience, and kindness!!! 🍷We drove a little while to get here on this hot day of 8.12.2021 and it was nice to be able to sit a few minutes to relax and unwind from the drive 🚗 before starting our wine tasting experience! The place had only two other small groups besides ours and the wine choices are fewer than some other wineries, BUT the wines are excellent!!! 🎉Good Going Galen Glen🍾We visited Galen Glen a few years ago and it still holds its spot on our chart near the top for one of the best wineries with a nice assortment of excellent tasting wines -dry, sweet, and semi-dry.Try a Taste of the Glen -Galen Glen that is- ...I assure you that you won't be disappointed!!! 😁🍷

The winery has an indoor & outdoor place for sitting that overlooks the vineyard. It's a very nice setting to sit with friends and share some wine. They also allow you to bring your own food to enjoy with their wine.

Came here for a wine tasting and was impressed with the views of the vineyard, great service and fantastic wines! The wine flights were affordable and there are plenty of wines here for a sweet or dry wine drinker to enjoy. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back on a warmer, summer day!

The wine is decent, and beautiful scenery dogs are only allowed outside.

We stopped at this Winery in early May. when you get to the tasting area they ask you to pay first. this was the first red flag. after paying $5 each we were only offered to taste 5 wines and the pours were literally 1 ounce each, they had a regulator on the bottles. So, we paid $1 per ounce. On top of that the person attending to us was very rude. we won't be back.

Galen Glen has a great mix of varieties. We drift towards their dry and semi-dry selections, with favorites being their Gruner Vetlinger, Semi-dry Riesling, and for those sweeter times both Bubbly varieties. We always leave with several cases!

Great location and very nice wines. The views are wonderful, they have a room set up to maximize the views while sipping wine on a cold november day. The staff was great at helping us stay away from the dry wines since we prefer semi-sweet.

Always an excellent experience at Galen Glen Winery. The staff is knowledgeable and all of the wines are fantastic. I especially loved the Sparkling Gruner this past visit. We love the outdoor inclosed seating area with a stunning view of the mountains and Vinyard. We love this family-friendly winery 🍷

Went there near the end of the day. Dark haired woman who waited on me appeared more annoyed than thankful for my business and made it a point to let me know we had 40 minutes until we had to exit the premises. Wine was priced well, nothing spectacular taste wise.

Very serene surroundings. Staff was cordial. Very nice patio area out back .. sit, relax, have some snacks, sip your favorite wine. I don't mind paying for a tasting as long as it's comparable to the pour. In this case, we didn't think the pour matched the tasting price. All in all though, pleasant experience.

The wine here is great. We were happy to see they had a Gewurztraminer 😁. The people here were very pleasant and upbeat. Great vibe.

Definitely have some of the best wines on the Lehigh Valley wine trail!! Their Rose’ wines, especially the Dry Rose’ and Gruner are my personal favorites. Great atmosphere, awesome people who really know their wines, just a very enjoyable destination!

Small winery but nice people that work there. Great view. And a half hour drive from Jim Thorpe. Please note the road is a bit windy to the winery so please don't drink and drive.

We visited during the week, which provided us a very relaxed tasting. Our host was very well informed on the wines and the production. Also, the winemaker was there and she also stopped by to talk about their vineyard. Would definitely go back.

My go to winery. Been a patron for many years. All their wines are award winners to us.Take your time here. Buy a glass after tasting.Add some cheeses and crackers. Enjoy the views from their outside patio. Go visit the town of Jim Thorpe for some local fun

We have been to Galen Glen several times and the wines are top notch and very enjoyable. There are many places to sit down with spectacular views and just relax and enjoy the moment. If you like visiting PA wineries than GG should be at the top of your list. Great way to spend a weekend afternoon.

If you're looking for a pleasant and relaxing afternoon, go here. The personnel are all very friendly and knowledgeable. The wines are excellent and the area is so calming. Buy snacks here or bring your own. Spend time indoors in wrap around window patio or weather permitting sit outside. Either way you'll lose yourself in peace and quiet. You'll be glad you came here and look forward to coming back!

Galen Glenn is phenomenal. No other way to describe it. This winery is off the beaten path, but I would highly recommend a visit. The wine tastings are great- the staff are well informed of their wines and grapes used. They have an enclosed outside sitting area to enjoy a glass after a tasting. On weekends, they frequently have events with chefs and a food truck. Some of my favorite wines that I tried(in no particular order) The Gruner Veltliner, Reisling Fossil Vineyard, and Winter Mountain White. Can't go wrong with a tasting and try them all. This winery is doing something amazing in PA.

Not a fan of not being allowed to buy a bottle and sitting and enjoy yourself. They only sell by the glass and a full bottle is only to go. Just a money grab. Don't see this at Blue Ridge Winery and other busy wineries that do well.

My wife and I visited Galen Glen last year. We have been going to the Fingerlakes a couple of times a year for about twenty years, and both know and appreciate German white wine. We were excited to discover that a vineyard in PA was making our kind of wine. Unfortunately our tasting experience was so unsatisfactory, that we will not return. I was excited to learn that Galen Glen had three different Gruner Veltliner wines to taste from vines that had been established for different numbers of years. It promised to be a very interesting tasting. Unfortunately, our server, a daughter in the family, was adamant that she could only pour a very small amount of wine in your glass for each tasting. The way I understand you taste wine is that you sip enough wine to swish it through your entire mouth, and you need to do it twice. There wasn't enough wine in the glass for one good taste, let alone two. The deal was you could taste six wines, and I tasted three, with a double pour of each. The wine was OK, but the tasting experience left a bad taste in my mouth. We will not return.
