I just want to start by saying ignor all of the Negative reviews .. they are complete non sence and just the vocal minority . I dont personally know brian that well other then visting his shop 2 or 3 times when he was at his 1st place and once at this new location ... be he strikes me as the type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back if you asked him for it . He is a very nice , giving person and very Knowledgeable and a great asset to the gaming Community .Now to my personal review ... this was my 1st visit since hes been at this location ... and wow ... i thought the old shop was amazing ... but this is on a whole other level ..... hands down without question the best one stop shop for just about anything you could want . I go for retro games and systems ( wich he has the best selection there is ... at very very reasonable prices ) ... but he also has new stuff .... toys ... board games ... strat guides ... minatures ... table top stuff you name it .Also i brought my two sons ... both are under 2 years old and i was a little hesitant ... because while they are pretty well Behaved . I wasnt sure how there presance would be recived .. cause some kids can be terrable so i would understand if a shop with valuable hard to find things in it wouldnt want small children around .... but not only did they seem just as welcomed as i was .... the owner also offered us all Lollipops for free and let both of my sons pick a toy from a bin to have for free ... wich was extreamly nice and he deff diddnt have to do that ... he also talked to them and had a converstation with the oldest about being a game master one day lol ....I came in looking for a snes and got exactly what i wanted and got some good games and some amazing deals .... i had a few small extras to trade in ... and i was giving a fair price that far exceeds what gamestop or a pawn shop would ever give ... and that knocked off a nice chunk of an already Unbelievably priced snes and 4 games ...People are quick to leave bad reviews or talk trash about Businesses but no one ever takes time to praise them when they do things right .... and i can tell you the game master is the real deal and a great place to go and i cant reccomend it enough

this is the best game shop i’ve ever been to. it has everything; tabletop games, arcade games, consoles, vintage game magazines, and more! one of my experiences was one i’d never forget; when they used to be in hopewell, i bought a dsi from there. i was 8 and with my mom, and i had $40 from my birthday money. the owner was so kind that he bumped the price down to $40 and let me pick 2 free games because he told us we seemed like nice people. ignore all the negative reviews; this owner is the kindest video game lover you’ll ever meet.

I'd say the Gamemaster's Realm is like a museum of amazing collectibles, three levels of love, and a lifetime of amazement.Something for everyone of every age.The store owner, Brian Roper, is obviously creating a dream palace for so many people to experience!!!And, I'm obviously not biased!!

Wow I've never felt like someone doesnt want me to buy there merchandise I couldn't tell if anything was for sale . Or he wanted to say how much he paid then sells it for less . Haha . What a creep . He wanted 135 for a used 360 he said they don't make them any more I found a brand new one at target for less than 150. Is he a gamer or scamer

Awesome place! run by his owner. Got there by chance and man you can find lots of different gaming stuff. Role Gaming, Tabletop Gaming, Videogames. Arcades are free to play. The guy is very kind and offers cheap snacks for everyone to have fun!

The owner was so rude to my mom. All she did was ask about a price of a game, as nothing has prices, he preceeded to tell her xbox one wasn't a good console lol she asked again can you please tell me the price and in his words very rude and like a smarta** said "thank you for asking me a second time while I was speaking I'll tell you when I can" meanwhile he wasnt doing anything besides playinga game like a kid. We just left and he said bye soo snarky and mean. I wouldn't give that man a penny.

Cool shop with lots of memorabilia. Arcade machines were on free play. Shop owner was welcoming. Teens in back playing video games and multiple tables with people playing role playing games. Lots of used and new gaming books for sale. Snacks for purchase. Cash only.

I LOVE this place. They have a very large selection of used games for almost every system imaginable. Brian, the owner, is always very friendly, helpful and is an all around great guy. If you need to know anything about a game, or a system, he is able to help. Don't go to GAME STOP, go to the GAMEMASTERS REALM!!! Game stop is cheap and not really invested in helping someone with games or systems... They just want to sell sell sell... The GAMEMASTERS REALM is like a home away from home. You feel comfortable from the moment you walk in the door, with no pressure from the owner to buy buy buy. This place is AMAZING! Don't go anywhere else to shop for games and gaming supplies. Stop here FIRST!!

I went to this place about a year ago I really liked it I fell in love with the place and brain was really nicethen I started to go to game sessions for dnd as time passed things started to go south that's why I don't go there really anymore this place is a wreck the bathroom looks like it has been abandoned for 10 years and honestly brain is as a jerk last October he was just going on and on and complaining why someone left the store he said that there were very racist but the thing is that same person that he called racist was just the kindest person someone has ever been to me. brains sketchy as heck to don't go to this place guys I am warning you

Hoh boy. 2 Stars because I got a decent price on a used board game. Now for the other bits... Cash only. Store layout is confusing. No price tags on any of the board or card games. When I went to buy I ended up having to listen to the owner rant for over 10 minutes about how he hated my favorite kind of board games (deck builders) and how much he hates Card Game players. All I did was ask if the store hosted game nights, and it was super uncomfortable. I just wanted to buy my stuff and leave and the dude wouldn't shut up, just kept going on about people he didn't like and why he didn't like them. I get it man, you don't like card games, but I do because it's an easy way to get out of the house and meet people.Go here if you want to support an annoying know it all who's going to waste half your day when you're trying to just buy your stuff and leave.

Brian is hands down a collection of complete savvy and true Fandom in the genre of games and gaming he stick true to the nature of gaming an not the commercial environment we see so prominent in today's culture. He has a appreciation for the collection and the collector. He appreciates the person who comes with the heart to own the product and value it. He's always running deals and giving away small items to his truly loyal. He's adamant on beating the competition and at the end of the day just out right wants you to walk away feeling happy about your purchase.

BE VERY WARY! I am very displeased with this location. While the store has great selection and has decent pricing for sales. DO NOT go to Brian to sell games. He is very knowledgeable in what he does and had been in the industry for a long time but is very rude to new generation of gamers, unable to adapt to new cultures in gaming and will rip you off for your old games knowing their value. I’ve dealt with stingy sellers but he takes the cake. Environment could be enjoyable but if you disagree about anything with Brian, he will shove his views down your throat and belittle you. If you only enjoy playing DND and don’t care about modern video games and gaming culture, this is the place for you.

First time I came in, he was very kind and we talked for quite a while. We discussed me bringing in some stuff to sell him and he seemed pretty enthusiastic. Flash forward to a month later when I brought the stuff in, and he was a completely different person. Cutting me off, talking down to me and claiming I don’t know what I’m doing despite me collecting toys for over a decade. His condescending behavior was unacceptable, so I took the stuff I was going to sell/trade to him and walked out. I’ve read other reviews talking about his attitude and I can say I agree. Will not be returning, which is a shame, because he has some pretty cool stuff in stock, but it’s just not worth it.

I have been coming for years, and I must say the owner does not know how to run a business anymore. Every visit is met with an incredibly rude attitude and annoying politically charged arguments. I come here for games, not to be told how to live my own life by some rotten nerd. I can’t even ask a question without a rude remark.Besides the owner, the store is fairly decent but very dirty. Almost all of the good games are hidden behind the counter and you must walk behind to see them, which of course means listening to him go on and on. His consoles are all shoved in boxes in the back and haphazardly stacked upon one another. One glance in front of his register will leave you nauseous. I don’t even know how it got that bad, he’s only had this location for a year.I think I am finally done shopping here for good.

The owner was very knowledgeable about my Nintendo NES system. He cleaned the system and several of my games and was not going to charge me for the service. He was kind to my two young kids and provided information on the items they purchased.The prices are fair and the owner is fun to talk to and very passionate about his products and business.My kids and I love this store!

Excellent store with one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever received.Brian was very knowledgeable and educated us with our gaming system. TLDR: pushy, aggressive, judgmental owner ruins otherwise potentially cool place.I was really excited to have a game shop so close and was looking forward to coming down frequently and being part of the gaming culture. Walked in was immediately asked “What’re you looking for?” “Pathfinder 2e, any used stuff.” Proceeds to tell me nobody is using 2e, why would they, they would be getting ripped off, but if I really want it, he can order it right now. Was a weird start, having my game trashed 30 seconds in, then pressured to immediately order. Then tells me if I want to come down I agree to only buying everything through him, people who buy online are trashy, anyone in his store has to follow all rules, can’t be one of the “insane antivaxxers,” have to be vaccinated to be in there. (It’s Jan 2023 and the guy is stuck in February 2020.) I tell him honestly that I’m unvaxed and he blames me for contributing to the death of “one million Americans including 9 of my dearest friends” and “idiots who ignore vaccines like they ignore vitamins and minerals.” Reminder: this is TWO MINUTES into me walking into this store. He is obviously very upset so I gently say “I’m sorry I’m not welcome” and walk out. Will be going elsewhere for gaming…and will be sure to order from them.
