We ♥️ this place. They carry SOOOO much stuff. They have an amazing assortment of fishing / tackle gear. There's trains, model cars to paint, stuff for babies, curtains, kitchen / dining linens, cast iron skillets, Fiesta Ware, and my favorite, The Naked Bee Lotions. 🐝

Been going there since I was a tyke to get my fishing stuff and 59-50 fitted hats but they got rid of the Hats but fishing still top notch store and another store hit by corporate America. Have know the family for 30yrs great great people!

Used to be much better in years past at Christmas. They still have a nice seasonal display. They have extensive fishing supplies and good variety. The store itself could be smaller... I like just going in and walking around.

What a fabulous store to browse through! We drove 2.5 hours to get there just because they stock the best mountain pie iron on the planet and no one else had it.It was well worth the trip.I found perfect rustic curtains for my home but they only had one. They found another one at a different location and are sending it to me when it arrives. Wonderful customer service. I can't say enough good things about the store or employees from the GM to the sales associates.

This place is great! I ordered a pair of fishing waders off of their website on Friday and they arrived the following Monday! That is what I call fast shipping! Not to mention, the price was the best I could find anywhere!

Charming shop with a lot of vintage plastic model kits, along with a good number of model railroad supplies. Plus a whole lot of other interesting things. Go have a look around. You won't be disappointed!

First time being in this store but I will be back. They do have just about everything from fishing/hunting gear to crafts/candles. They have home decor and antiques also. We have always passed this store bit decided to stop on this day and I'm glad we did. My wife even enjoyed the crafts which covered several different types. The prices were really good on all the items.

I have been going to the Altoona store for years to get Swan Creek candles. I doubt I will EVER be back after THIS visit. A creepy woman followed us all around the store. Everywhere we turned, there she was, never saying a word. We finally split up to try to get rid of her. I picked up some potholders I decided to buy and there she was standing there... she never said a word, just stood there. I don't know what her deal is, but if it's to make customers extremely uncomfortable by being stalked, then goal achieved. The Woodshed is a store I normally love to spend time and walk around at look at things, but this woman ruined it for me. I grabbed the first candle that smelled decent and headed to the register and got out. Thanks weird stalker lady for ruining my annual trip to the Woodshed. I don't like being treated like a shoplifter after being in the store only 10 seconds.

Went back after many years, as I live out of town. Superb fishing department, interesting selection of gear. Lots of fun houseware stuff. And the staff were very pleasant. I have alot of nice memories of UJW as a kid ; it's still a real fun store to shop. 👍

Simply the most unique place to shop! At this time of year, be sure to check out the treasure trove of holiday items! You will find excellent customer service as well. And, oh yes, fishing and outdoor sports gear, plus a great selection for the model railroad enthusiast.

I enjoy that I can find some things in here that I can't find in bigger retail stores. A lot of stuff for anyone. I get fishing and camping equipment but you can find a lot of models (the glue together variety; not the lingerie wearing variety), train sets and knick knacks for around the house. Friendly staff.

This is a really nice store with many unique items. It's a little bit pricey but the merchandise is of better quality, making them worth the price. Lots of stuff from fishing tackle to candles to kitchen gadgets, curtains, porcelain dolls, collectibles, glassware, and many other things. Just be careful around the breakable items because there was one employee who jumped to the conclusion that I picked something up and dropped it, when in fact, it was placed precariously on the edge of a shelf and my shirt sleeve knocked it down when I reached for a non breakable item above it. She wasn't exactly nice about it but didn't force me to pay for the broken item. I would never return if she had. It's a great store and I enjoy going there.

I was looking for any & all country decorations and hit the jackpot, here.Wow! Such a beautiful selection. The store layout was nice & had a very helpful, friendly, staff, too.If you're looking to buy beautiful things for your home, apartment, office & etc., you'll have to check this place out.You'll save a ton of money too, craft stores were almost double, what they were asking for here.I'll definitely, be back........often!

Great place for fly tying supplies. My wife likes the rest of the store. Nice place to visit. Went to another fly shop and they did not have what I needed. Went to uncle Joe's and they did as always.

It was very expensive for my taste but to each there own
