Great store but seems to have a growing need to mandate adults present with children. There always has to be that crowd that's loud, obnoxious, and unsupervised causing havoc everywhere they go. This.is a Hotspot for that...

Has everything you need. This is a MUST stop if your even remotely close to the area and you are a MAN. Picked up everything I needed and then some. They have a wide selection of of outdoor apparel that cannot be found in my city. Fishing supplies that can compete with even Bass Pro or Cabellas. Highly recommend.Oh and on a side note: this is out in Gods country where masks are not required, store isn’t in an area where there is a high percentage of the population coming in and out of the United States bringing in lord knows what as far as disease, unwanted pests/bugs go.

If you are a woman shopping for guns or ammo at the Altoona store be prepared to be ignored. 4 employees standing at the other end of the counter talking, one in and out of a door right where I was standing. I had over $100 worth of ammo in the cart and a question about holsters, I refuse to chase down help when they aren't busy. Needless to say it's all still sitting there.

Firearms people are very rude and not knowledgeable about guns. They’ll say anything to sell you the monthly service plan that is totally useless unless you don’t know how to clean a gun. I’ve also been waiting 2 months now for a refund for a gun I purchased online and didn’t pick up, because I cancelled my order. Go somewhere else if you want a gun, there’s a ton of local gun shops around, where you can buy a firearm from people who actually care.

I took the kids in here yesterday and they had a lot of fun just looking around. The animals were neat to look at and the camping supply section was huge.

Clean, spacious, great choice of outdoor gear. I was looking for a low top hiking boot and found a pair on sale. Guess it was my lucky day!Unfortunately, gave it a 4 star review bc unable to find a sales person to help me find what I needed. I just wandered around until I found the boots.

With limited brick and mortar options in the Altoona/Johnstown area, this place is pretty good. Staff could be a lot friendlier, but they are working. My last experience here was very poor all around, but it happens.

It is a beautiful store, the eyes are welcomed as you walk into the lobby. The selection is very good, good quality of merch as well. Prices are on the high end in my opinion but I am not qualified to compare I just know I don't have the kind of money to buy here often. Giving a choice I would prefer to though. Hope the review helps.

My wife and I went in here to buy a hand gun and the person behind the counter was more interested in talking to his friend rather then helping us after 5 minutes or so my wife finally ask to look at a gun and he had to go find the keys,then when she ask questions he did not seem interested in us went back to his friend he did show her one other gun but really did not listen to the issue she had I had not got to look at a gun as he didn't seem interested in selling any to us we were ready to buy and wanted to buy closer to home but now we plan on going to rural king to see what kind of service we get there if not any better we will just not buy anyI am sorry I do not normally leave reviews especially bad ones but was very disappointed with customer service and probably will not returnAfter talking with customer service and store manager, my wife and I decided to give them a second chance and my experience was totally different and much better and have decided to purchase a firearm from them and Amanda was very helpful and listened to my wife's needs and was very helpful. It was very nice and be shown different things and listened to . And the store manager was very apologetic and was very helpful.TANKS FOR HELPING US AND SERVICE WAS MUCH BETTER

Bought a saltwater fishing rod and reel combo from them and a fish snapped the rod in two went to return it cause it was less then thirty days old. Happen to lose my receipt will when I went to return it they would not take it back because I lost the original receipt the manager is as very disrespectful about the whole transaction

Went to buy a pistol there today. Filled out the questionnaire and submitted it. The employee then prints out my answers and asks me to verify if everything is correct. I found that I answered one of the questions wrong. And asked if I could change it. Note, the questions are VERY misleading. He tells me that he cannot sell me any firearms for 30 days. Welp they just lost out on a customer for life!

This store is NOT for women. Need functional pants? Sorry only men’s sizes. Need functional boots? Nope none of those either. Unless you want tight yoga pants or cute comfy shoes don’t bother coming in here as a woman. Total waste of a trip

Thay will not take reterns or exchange the wrong item. There team members recomended the wrong 30 cal reloading bullets and i cant exchange for the exact same thing but round nose.

A large building with a wide range of outdoor-activity related products. The prices seem fair, and there are frequently discounts throughout the store, or even on everything at once (don't miss promotional events). The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The building is artistically designed, and has a honey atmosphere with many interesting things to look at even if you don't buy.

Bought 2 rifles there in 3 months.. both times there seemed to be new employees still learning the ropes so took little longer but was no problem..what I assume is the manager is super cool funny guy.

Pretty good experience for a big box store. Went to look for guns and felt like we were preparing for life in the slums like everyday was a firefight. He was nice but should probably tone it down a bit.

My husband loves to come here. I'm sure all the hunter husband's love to come here. It's a sportsman's dream. Prices are a bit salty, but no different than Cabellas. We stop by quite a bit, even if we don't need anything. Always seem to come out with something however.
