There are lots of options in all departments. The departments are labeled well. Staff is always willing to help. They are helpful when you have to do a special order. Their displays for appliances, kitchen areas, flooring, and bathroom appliances seem to have a lot of options. The cleaning products are neatly arranged. The outdoor area has a large variety of plants and flowers, along with soil and paving stones.

Lowe’s appliance section, quality and delivery was good to me today.Today, when a gas dryer was needed, I realized that an electric dryer was purchased by mistake.And as stood there listening, the expert delivery men explained to me the differences, showed me that the industrial power cord & plug was not that of regular household utility and they suggested that I find the gas replacement that I truly needed.Thus I went back to Lowe’s where, ultimately, I discovered that they had the matching dryer in gas, with a discount. The ladies working in the return customer service dept. knew thier job well and did everything they could to help me. Also the lady in the appliance section did a wonderful job in helping me find the matching gas version. And, again, the delivery men were professional, polite, skilled and knew thier job well.From delivery to return to replacement, Lowes did a great job today. Very satisfied customer!!

Store lighting is bad. Very poor service in areas that require assistance…kitchen design, millworker. Usually more birds flying around than employees.

I went there to get some paint. The young lady that worked the paint counter was very helpful and polite. Though I'd rather shop at Home Depot, this stop today was pleasant.

Lowes prices keep climbing higher and higher, last year 3/8 drywall was approaching $10.00 a sheet, it is now $17.00 a sheet I'm not sure how you justify that big of an increase? And there lumber is absolutely terrible, get rid of the bad wood and restock with new, instead the pile the bad wood on the new stacks of wood. Do better

My 84 year old mother, Martha Swarden from Carrolltown, PA ordered a refrigerator from the Altoona, PA Lowe’s on November 29, 2023. They delivered it Monday, December 12th. After they brought it in, and turned it on, it did not work. Fortunately my husband was there and discovered the part that makes it run was completely missing. They took it back and a temporary one was brought to her house the next morning. On December 15th we went to Lowe’s and ordered another, different brand, refrigerator. They told us they would deliver on Tuesday, December 19th. The delivery driver tried to call her Monday, December 18th about the delivery. She called the Altoona Lowe’s and they told her that they don’t deliver in Carrolltown on Tuesdays. They would deliver on Thursday, December 21st. The drivers called her today, Tuesday, December 19 and said they would be there to deliver in 15 minutes. She had to hurry and take all of her food out of the temporary refrigerator and put the food into boxes. Keep in mind she is 84. Her closest family, who is me and my husband, are 20 minutes away. We couldn’t help her to quickly put her food into boxes. The deliver men, who are from Florida, came to her house with her refrigerator but wouldn’t take it off the truck because they said it was too icy in her driveway. No insurance they repeated. We got 3 inches of snow overnight. Once again my 84 year old mother would not have been able to clear her drive that quickly or at all. She has someone clear it but not until late afternoon. They told her they will deliver Thursday, December 21st. So frustrating for her and very very disappointed in Lowe’s delivery service. The least you can do is compensate her for her trouble. She has to put everything back into the temporary fridge and take it out once again on Thursday. Needless to say, she will not buy another appliance from Lowe’s nor would we recommend anyone we know to do so.

I lost almost $1,000 with this company! I purchased simple tools and materials for a project renovation and drywall repair in my new home. I drove approximately 6 hours to my new home in order to meet the contractor I paid to complete my renovation. The order I bought was never delivered and I was stuck paying the contractor for his wasted time, while he was unable to complete the work due to Lowes never delivering the materials he needed ! The rep just said, it was a third-party delivering company's fault, "nothing we can do about it" and ended the call. I was a big fan of Lowes, since I used other locations of this store for past renovations. Not anymore. I am very disappointed with this experience and wouldn't recommend this location to anyone!

Terrible experience. My mother ordered a washer and dryer that was set for delivery today. The drivers called and said they would be in the driveway for 15 minutes. They were never at our house. I saw them leaving another house down the road. When we called, they didn't seem to care or know what was going on. We will be canceling our order and going through someone else.

30 minutes waiting to pick up a washer I was notified was ready. I was told to go to lumber to meet them. I went back to customer service just to make sure everything was still ok. Customer service lady was very rude. She said it takes more than five minutes. I said that was fine just checking because it was 30 minutes. She rolled her eyes. She then said that’s how it always goes so…. This was my first time back at Lowe’s since another similar experience years ago. Our local Home Depot in Altoona Pa. Is always friendly. I’ll just stay with them I guess.

I highly suggest you all avoid this place and go to Home Depot or somewhere else. The store manager John is so rude and awful. He should never be a “store manager” to begin with. Ive never had such a bad experience with a store before. Let alone a store manager. No wonder why the employees don’t care. Tried to get some help and it was just people standing around talking. Some of them were managers! They need to be fired too! How that place gets by day to day beats me. But at this point this Lowes needs “shut down” with how many negative reviews. And just the awful things that are going on inside. Or someone needs to seriously investigate what is going on.

The contractor side of the building is obviously the most busy side of the building yet they only ever have one register open and it's always so people have to line up down past the drywall and lumber. Got three people over at the pro desk talking with a line 16 deep and it's like this more than it's not.

Is there a Lowe's employee i n plumbing is very rude. I asked a question what's the difference between these two toilets. He said in the background I can see the difference between the two toilets and I don't have to wear glasses. He treated me like a moron.If you go in there. look at the toilet s they look about the same. Me the paying customer doesn't stand around all day in front of Lowe's looking at toilets . They have different mounting base sizes. So I went somewhere else and purchase a new toilet. Remember people shop somewhere else if you treat them like a moron. They don't longer carry high end Dewalt tools. That's why I shop at home depot from now on.

We are helping to remodel our son and daughter in laws house. We have spent tens of thousands of dollars at Lowe’s in Altoona. Idk how they handle their merchandise but I’m guessing they are trying to break things. We’ve had 3 busted up vanities, a busted up bath tub, a broken toilet, a window we special ordered for size was cracked when we tried to pick it up, and some smaller items. We live an hour away and are just fed up with the carelessness of this store. What boggles my mind is that the boxes containing these items were intact. Are they purposely running into items to break them? I’m so done with Lowes. They owe me a lot of gas money for wasted trips!

Got several items here for home renovations. Two were ordered in and another was bought from in store, all three were damaged beyond use in box upon arrival. If it was one item I could excuse it but that’s three entirely separate items and we live a fair distance away so it’s not exactly convenient to drive in and do a return or exchange. Extremely disappointing when renovating a house is already stressful enough.

My go-to for all of my home needs, especially holiday decorations. Lowe's has quality products at great prices. This particular store has some great employees who are always there to lend a hand. Shout out to Katie S. in the front end. She is a spectacular employee who will bend over backwards to provide great service!

The robot answering machine doesn't help. I can't get ahold of anyone, and it keeps hanging up on me. I doubt they even have customer support and they just play the robot to make you think that.When the robot "Goes to get a representative" there is no music playing, no ring tone going off or anything, so you just sit there in awkward silence in hopes that someone will answer.

Their people are great as long as you treat them like human beings and are respectful. I've seen customers treat them like garbage and still expect to be treated like royalty, it's pathetic. They do what they can for their customers and will go above and beyond if treated right. They have a great selection of products and services in this location especially their paint department. They have an amazing staff that can really perform miracles with colors as long as you understand that sometimes it's just may not be perfect. Like I said as long as you treat them kindly and are reasonable they will do everything in their power for their customers. Highly recommend this location for all your home improvement needs!

My advice is to buy your washer and dryer from literally ANYBODY else. Our new ge washer only lasted 4 months. I called them and even spoke to their manager Kylee and they refused to do anything. We even bought a maxed out warranty for an extra $200+ dollars when we bought it. All they had to say was sorry for your luck. Worst customer service ever. If I could give them zero stars that's what they'd get/earned. I ask for their corporate number and she said go ahead and call them...they'll tell you the same thing. The manufacturer won't answer the number either. I'm telling you...run...don't walk...run as far away from Lowe's appliances as you can. Don't buy GE either. Apparently they're cut from the same cloth. Thanks for the $ 1000 paperweights. Go anywhere but here. I will never go back. For ANYTHING.

I love going here to shop for all my home improvement needs. It has everything from lights to wood, candies, Halloween decorations ect. My kids also love to come here also because they ride on the blue carts for wood. Don't tell nobody. The prices are normal for the area also. I would recommend shopping here for all your household needs.

I decided to shop in store since I only needed a floor register. I had it picked out online. Found it easily. A large stack of them with the $12.98 price ticket underneath. When I checked out it rang up at $15.98. At least the cashier at customer service was able to correct that for me. Just took longer than I expected to be in the store.
