The person who works in the men’s department could not of been any ruder! My husband, daughter and I were looking at shirts in the big and tall section, when I heard him tell my child not to touch anything. Children will be children but all my daughter was doing was trying to look at a cute panda shirt. Not only was he rude he then tell me that she was unfolding all the shirts and it was literally ONE shirt she unfolded. Then we walked over to the customer service desk and he was standing there talking bad about us. So rude and we will never be back!

If you don't have a JCPenney charge card don't bother trying to return anything. They'll only give you the sale price even if you can prove with your bank account that you paid the full price for the item. I won't be shopping here anymore.

They no longer offer store credit for returning a gift. You must have the receipt, or they will not take the item back. Poor customer service.

I visited the store today. While shopping in the women's department, I found that there was only 1 fitting room open for the whole area. I then discovered that all stools had been removed in the fitting rooms. How do you expect people to try on jeans,etc and then be able to put their shoes back on? Should we sit on the dirty floor? Your management needs to be reevaluated. I also found that there was 1 register open,but not in the women's department. This is poor management! Do better! I won't be back,thats for sure!

As always, it is very accommodating. Although I went for a sale to buy something witha coupon. The price was increased more than $10 using the coupon. So obviously I changed my mind. I'll wait for this item to drop in price. I hope..

Since I see there are somehow no reviews on the JCP optical Altoona website, I will add mine here. I’m sure you have a CSR reply to these reviews and they never escalate to mgmt, but anyway. I’m a first-time prescription eyeglass customer and was very disheartened by the “know it all” and “I don’t want to be bothered” attitude I received at the Altoona store. They’re nice at first, but you had better adapt or they imply it’s all what you’re doing wrong, and that may be true, but no need for your attitude after I’ve spent several hundred dollars. I was told they could make adjustments, but when I went back for one, you could’ve sworn I asked the worker to cut her left arm off. I’m stuck with glasses I’m not happy with, $380 in the hole, and I would never give them my business again. I’ll spread the word. Do love the rest of the store, though.

This store in the Logan valley Mall in Altoona has really gone to hell stressing rooms. Nowhere to set to put clothes on nowhere to put your clothes on. Nothing really into store anymore. It's a shame. Used to be a great place. Thank you, Amazon

Love their clearance section, just don't like being followed! I did not have a wallet or purse in my hand, had a card holder in my back pocket, and I kept changing my mind on what I was going to purchase. And when I got to the register the woman that rang my up was not pleasant at all. She did not say hello or allowed if I found everything okay or any or the appropriate thing you say to your customer as you are trying them up.

Not a bad place to shop really. It's a little pricey depending on what you're looking for but overall it's not the worst place to shop. Customer service is typically fine, haven't had a bad experience personally. It's typically not busy so it's almost like a ghost town most of the day.

The Altoona location needs staff. When trying to check out, the first floor only had one cashier open for the entire bottom floor. I asked the clerk if any other cashiers were open. The reply was, sorry, deal with it. I was taken back with her reply. It's know wonder People stopped shopping at Penneys

The store was very clean. The staff friendly and helpful. I felt bad for staff as they seemed to be running on skeleton crew as only a few registers were open. You can no longer take returns to any register, you have to go upstairs to where you pick up online orders to make a return. That's a bit of a nuisance but I suspect it has to do with short staffing and training. There were some good sales and great coupons going on which is always a plus. I'll continue to shop at JCP.

I stopped in at their Altoona store and found the item I was looking for. Marilyn, the Sales Associate was so helpful. She looked up the rewards available when no one has ever done that for me without asking them.
