hours are 8am to 9 pm but you go thinking they're open and not one employee in that store. 844 am still not open! These are the problems they have due to them paying their workers minimum wage! pay a livable wage and maybe the store wouldn't have boxes in every isle and employees might actually open the store on time!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This is the most disgusting and vile store I have ever been in. The management was extremely rude when I asked for a corporate phone number and wrote down a fake number instead of giving me the real one. This place needs shut down

Horrible management. Always carts of unboxed items blocking most of the aisles. Stuff lying on the floor everywhere. Never expect them to have anything your looking for even as simple as milk.

This store is always a mess because they can't keep people there. Everyone ends up leaving. Not just leave but walk out. They can't seem to keep the shelves stalked.

Very crowded, inventory is everywhere and the wait, if there's a line to actually check out is usually a nightmare. The staff are pleasant and always very busy. The store is extremely busy at almost all times of the day. I would suggest adding another associate or 2 to the floor to prevent the pile ups throughout the store, and to give your staff some much needed relief at times.

This is not my favorite Dollar General. The set up is a little odd compared to other stores. I had difficulty finding things. It was kind of a mess as well. I know they have to stock shelves, but they have carts all over the store and in the middle of the aisles. Maybe it was just the day & time I went. The employees aren’t as cheerful or helpful compared to others. It could have just been the day, like I said before. Sometimes retail can be stressful, so I don’t want to say they were rude. I think they expect the cashiers to do the stocking, when they should hire some people JUST to do the stocking...which probably affects the messiness. Then you have cashiers trying to run register, stock shelves and help customers & keep a store clean? That sore needs some help.

Disgusting nothing is ever put away. You can never get through the isles because there's ALWAYS unpacked boxes stacked up everywhere. If I could give zero stars I would. Also the staff are rude especially if you dare to ask if they have something your looking for in the mountain's of boxes because the shelves are never stocked properly. Not to mention when I leave I feel like I need to boil myself I avoid going there at all costs

I work close by and come here on the regular. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. COVID has things a bit of a wreck with being understocked and understaffed at times, but they usually have what I'm looking for and would expect to find at the Dollar Store, and sometimes more.

It's just about what you would expect, just note that everything is not not necessarily $1. They have the usual staples especially with food. I have been surprised when going in for "craft" materials that I thought were basically but apparently not (chalk, popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners).The store aisles as feel very small, I'm sure they are just making the most of every square foot but it feels a bit tight. They also always seem to be stocking up so even the main lains are obstructed.

Needs to be better organized and the inventory to be replenished at all times - hire more employees! Check-oyt line can improve also with customer satisfaction by having more than one cashier on duty.

Stopped in today for the first time, store was a mess, from. Toys all over the toy aisle, to toilet paper taken out of the package and left all over the shelf. The store wasn't busy either, so that's no excuse. Items were far from neat and orderly. The cashier wasn't friendly at all. Couldn't even manage to mutter a "Hello". First and last time at this location.

This is the worst store I've ever been in. The isles are full of merchandise that needs to be put away and have been sitting there for days. Employees are always outside smoking and talking. Definitely not the store to go to if you need something. I walk two miles to another store!!!!

Amazing variety, but always takes more than 5 mins to check out. They either need to hire more ppl, or have more ppl on the night shift. And I also have to say that the employees there don't seem to like their job, or are just the types to not want bothered by people in general. Love the store and all the product, just not all the employees!!

I understand were going through a pandemic at the moment. But this store seems like they are out of inventory all the time. This store is the CLOSES and only DG i can get to. Apparently for everyone else because it never had what I need. Also there's times where I am not able to leave my home and I have yo send my two teenage daughters down to get what I need. IT CAN BE ANYTHING LIKE A PACK OF GUM. And there is one or two workers who insist to interrogate. I fully trust my girls and they are highly responsible probably more than most at their age, and its not like they are stranger. They are regulars at this store. And foe some reason one or two of the workers 50 questions them. "Example" i sent them down to buy their father a few things for his bday and not sure who bit was asking them why my two young teen girls were buying "men clothes"? So either he is nosey as heck or he is a weirdo. And no matter what age no employee should make their customers feel like that. It might be petty, but any mother would feel some type of way. Only because its consistently happening.

Carts of boxes everywhere, was lucky if you could get the cart into the next aisle.Boxes should stay in receiving room, until ready to be put away.I shop $ General all the time, but will avoid this particular location from now on.

It wasn't all bad but it wasn't all good they were in the middle of restocking the shelves so everything that they had out was picked over but I got a few things for a good price Clarks that work there so far has been very nice and polite

Its ok... The store dont have too much groceries but it does have a parking lot and a public restroom.. Its open from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week... And there is not too many items for a dollar but its still cheap... Im gonna be honest and say i do most of my house hold necessities shopping here cause its the closest store to where i live!...

If I coulf rate this zero stars I would. The managers are complete trash and are rude. They are rude to customers and they are usually never in there anyways. The assistant manager is sleepi g with an employee and the stor manager Stephanie is sexist. She hires o my females. Get to know them and you'll se they are rude. There's barely any workers in there. Betty is a very rude and impatient cashier. Bottom line rate zero stars.

Decently priced merchandise, large selection of grocery items. Entertainment here, DVDs, Books, Magazines, and board games and puzzles. They sell clothing here and other things as well.

The Dollar General store in Altoona would not accept my Visa or bank debit card (as per their respective established machines on location) for the 3 items I set out to purchase. Both cards were active and had the funds to go through with the process but these machines didn't even Indicate insufficient funds or anything else as I had Inquired about the working integrity of said machines. So I went down the street to Dollar Tree.
