This is my go to place. Super close to my house. I've never had a bad experience. The cashiers are all nice and tell you to have a great day. The one cashier, I can't remember his name, has been checking me out for a couple years now. He's always a pleasure to have, makes me feel comfortable.

On this visit EVERYONE was wearing a mask. Last time another lady and myself were the only ones. The store could use a little cleaning but I was there early on a Saturday morning. The shelves and coolers were well stocked and the cashier was pleasant. Overall a GOOD visit.

The employees in this place are very sweet and helpful. As with everywhere else right now, they are missing a few items due to "supply chain issues". Even though I have doubts about why this is happening, these folks are doing their best.

This location is often busy and shelves have Bunches of empty spots to prove it. Good place to stop if a gas station/ convenience store isn't quite what you're looking for. Staff is pretty friendly here which is nice.

I’m a DG fanatic, I do a lot of shopping here for my smaller items, however, this store isn’t exactly up to par with cleanliness or organization. Often times it looks a bit run down. Aside from that, the staff is always friendly and smiling and make for a good shopping experience.

The assistant manager I believe his name is Nathan (could be wrong) is amazing. I have delivered fresh and dry goods all over the east cost and he is by far the most accommodating and helpful manager I have worked with!

Just there today. No carts inside. Asked employee where they were. I was told to go outside and get one (with my cane) for myself. Shelves disorganized and dirty. 20 minutes to cash out as apparently they only have one employee. But what with a line of 10 plus customers and no help no wonder she had a bad attitude. Recommendation: go to another store.

I love this store, however Christy is very rude and unprofessional. I live close by so if I go there and she is working, I won't shop there. She acts like she hates her job, and is very unhelpful is helping you look for the item you need. I only go in there when the guy at night, Daniel is working. He is super friendly, always smiling, and willing to help the customers anyway he can. He should be that whole store manager

Staff is always friendly. Customers need to be more considerate and put items back where they belong. Stores are always in disorder and staff cannot keep up with the added REWORK.

The people are courteous and helpful the prices are pretty decent and I really love the 11% discount for veterans, just wish you had more of those. A lot of businesses give military and Veteran discounts all the time it would be nice if Dollar General that the same.

It's very nice to be able to get items cheaper just around the corner from the mini gas station market that sells everything for 2.00 more then the Dollar store. Can dog food Dollar General.less then a buck. The corner has station mini market 1.99 one can. Thank so much for opening the Dollar General on route 53 yeah love it!

Friendly Staff, but alot of products sold out.This does not mean Toilet Paper.Clothes that are advertised in weekly flyers have not been available, Seems like they are always rearranging the stores & I myself dislike this.Customers like myself will shop through the store, but we like to know where products are & not have to search for them.This is every $ General in the Altoona Area.I know things are crazy right now, but it's pretty bad when you go to 3 different stores & they are all sold out of the same products.

The employees here at this Dollar General are super friendly! We are just here for a couple months visiting from Los Angeles and we are on a first name basis and love to have good conversations. Bri and Darlene are the best ever! And of course My kids new Auntie Julie ROCKS!!!💜👊🏻💜

Nice place some times the world are nice sometimes not. They treat alot of people like your going to steal. Not much is a dollar in there. Place is kinda dirty as well. If you need something fast or it's late and you need something it's the place to go.

I found all that I went in for. The shelves were stocked and neat. It didn't seem to be out of stock on much of anything. One of the better DG's I've shopped at.

Another Dollar General. No issues here - anytime I've been here they had what I was looking for and cashier's always courteous. When I had coupons they were always patient and helpful.

Typical dollar general has about everything you can think of, it's the largest dollar general I have ever been in, has a great selection of food, health, household, baby, and pet items as well as seasonal themed items. Also has a entire isle of clearance items.

Would stop in here frequently for drinks and snacks. The long lines, store being always messy, cashiers with poor attitudes and very loud conversations who cannot seem to understand what "I do not want a bag" means are the reason i no longer shop there.

the manager had a poor attitude. my daughter had an interview at 11am. i dropped her at door at 10:50. knocked on door. manager never csme to door till 11:20 & yelled at her for being late. i would never shop there again!
