I just went into our Allison Park CVS tonight at 8:00. I forgot to go in to print a small canvas. The young girl working couldn’t have been more helpful! She said that it was not her usual store but she thought that she could get it done. She even helped me on the console while I was loading the print. Her name is Alysha. She was just so kind and helpful. I am grateful that she was there.Karen Schmidt

I was the only one at the counter to pick up a prescription …but they closed the window and couldn’t take a minute…. Then I went to the front counter to purchase a $400 gift card and another item and was told to wait until they were done teaching another employee about photos? Or use the self check out. Which didn’t work for the gift card. I told them I couldn’t stand long because of an injury, not their problem ..So I left all items..I am transferring all to Giant Eagle. I’m not wasting my time in a company that can’t service their customers. Done with CVS carelessness.

This review is for the pharmacy not the entire store. I made an appointment online for my daughter to get a vaccination. Her appointment was 10:45am on Saturday September 23. We checked in online so when we arrived they called her name right away to come up and give her insurance card. They asked if she had other insurance because it was coming up as secondary and wouldn’t let them bill it. This is the only insurance card we have. After waiting 45 minutes for them to try to figure it out they preceded to say they couldn’t do anything and I would have to call our insurance provider on Monday or pay out of pocket. There was 1 pharmacist and 3 techs on duty. The pharmacist was not very friendly nor did she seem to care about our problem and 2 of the 3 techs seemed very clueless as to what was going on and had no personality. We decided to go to Walmart and they took her as a walk in and was able to figure out the insurance issue with no problem. We were in and out in 10 minutes with her receiving her vaccination. I will not return to this CVS pharmacy ever again.

Easy experience with the exchange of an item purchased 4 days ago. Exchange was easy and counter clerk was very understanding and helpful. Likewise during a later drug pickup the clerk was also helpful and courteous.

Not able to schedule, a flu shot for my dad more than three days in advance, online or through their central, out of town scheduling. No direct phone number for the minute clinic is given to patients or doctors due to absence of clerical staff. From my prior experience, the nurse that works there is actually very nice and knows what she’s doing.I suspect because I’m a physician, the pharmacist has agreed to pass on my message to the clinic. Hopefully I will get a call back.

The experience today in regard to a scheduled vaccine for our 12 year old is completely unacceptable. I scheduled this appointment updated my insurance information and scanned my cards. Upon arrival ….drive through customers were given priority. The pharmacy intern states she cannot administer the vaccination because the insurance provider server is down. I helpfully suggested it’s free, you have a copy of my card, we’ve waited a half hour, you can administer the vaccine and worry about the insurance later. We cannot do that… I said the vaccine is free… I was told they could call me when the insurance is back on line. At no point did the licensed pharmacist offer to speak with us. I was told by the intern they have been trying “all” day and the system is down. I questioned why I wasn’t called to reschedule if you could not complete the appointment. I walked into the RITE AID 2 miles down the road and they were able to complete the vaccination. The anxiety you created in a 12 year old who mentally prepared for his vaccination in unacceptable. Your pharmacy was clearly disorganized, uniformed, and customer service was your last priority. To me it was receiving your insurance kickback was the priority. You have lost a customer. Very disappointed. The organization at this pharmacy was very disappointing.. they all seemed to be running around with little to no direction.

The staff here is completely inconsiderate and incompetent. Horrible experience today getting an important, time-sensitive medication. I received a text at noon saying that my medication was ready, so I went directly to the cvs drive thru after work to pick it up. Apparently there was a discrepancy with the doctor and they did not actually have it filled but never reached out to me. There is no evidence they bothered to reach out to the doctor prior to the office closing either. They agreed to give me the first couple of pills, but insisted that I come inside to get. I then waited for 25 minutes for 5 pre-packaged pills. They waited on a dozen people before me. There were periods during that time when there was not a line. They had time to chat, but apparently not enough time to shove 5 pre-packaged pills into a ziplock bag. They saw that I was upset and instead of treating it with any kind of compassion, they just ignored me until they heard me loudly explaining to my husband on the phone what was happening. They obviously either a) don’t have the knowledge and training to understand the significance of the medications they’re responsible for or b) they really don’t care at all. After I get the rest of this dose, I’ll be going elsewhere for medications. Their incompetence came dangerously close to wasting us thousands of dollars worth of fertility testing and treatments and causing an entire month of setbacks.

Rude at the pharmacy- I was there twice today they failed to let me know they had to re-order my eyedrops and both times the girl working at the desk was extremely rude to me. I will not go back to this pharmacy after this experience.

My boyfriend took time out from work to get a COVID-19 test he set up an appointment for. We got there and the signs are not clear to let people know that you don’t go to the drive through, you go to a designated parking area with orange cones and someone will come out to test you. Well, I had to go inside and ask what’s happening because we had been waiting for over 10 minutes. The kind ( most likely overworked…)lady said “ We should have received a text saying the appointments had to be canceled because the person testing didn’t show up” 😱 wow! We never got that text so now he made another appointment at a different CVS. More time waisted. God gives us strength to deal with this world.

Took three to four calls and I was asking for medications to be delivered express. So I the order was done on the phone online allowed to complete I also wouldn't accept any of my cards over online at all even though I had to previous cards and when I try to put my card information over the phone they were rushing me at when I had to put in all my information. Also when I finally did get my cards in she's like okay but we're done I want to check today no order at all and so I called back saying what happened to like oh yeah we have a normal delivery for you but I responded I want Express. They came back after 10 minutes saying we can't express for you for some reason. This could be solved if they could have just said they couldn't do Express the very first phone call to my location (the only reason I know it is my location is because website just show me that error today and last night it just would not let error come through. That is why I went on the phone)

This pharmacy seriously deserves zero stars! I received the worse customer service ever. I was very ill when I went into the pharmacy to have a very needed prescription filled and I left in tears due to the inconsiderate treatment that I received. The pharmacy did not have the medicine that my doctor prescribed. I asked to have it ordered and delivered the next day and I was answered with extreme sarcasm. I was told to try another CVS but was treated like I was a bother when I asked for directions because I was not familiar with the area. The tech seriously huffed and puffed! I later found out that CVS does not carry that particular medicine! I asked the pharmacy technician to call my doctor for something similar...I received extreme attitude! Rolling of the eyes and all! Apparently, I was asking too much when I asked the woman to do her job! Then, while I was on my phone calling other local nearby pharmacies to check if the medicine was available elsewhere, the woman yelled across the room to tell me that my doctor's office was closed. I was in so much pain that I gave up and left defeated and truly exhausted. The staff just smirked as I walked away! After I felt better, I called the corporate office to file an official complaint. I will see where that goes!

I always have a very negative experience here! Always waiting for long periods of time regardless of time of day. Currently my husband and I are sitting in their drive through pharmacy, for almost ten minutes now, and have had nobody come to the window. A woman spoke on the intercome that she would be right with us, and yet we are still sitting here. Not sure if the employees know that we can see into the window, but the entire time we have been waiting here, they took person after person waiting inside.

I’m not sure why this has such low star reviews but I feel like people just have had a random bad experience. I have been going to this cvs for a few years and get all of my prescription from here. The pharmacist are the best!! They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful with any questions or concerns you have but they make sure you understand even when they are super busy. The techs working are alway very nice and polite. Compared to giant Eagle where I used to go, this is completely different, I feel more than just a customer compared to GE where they were not very friendly and I felt like I was a burden. The CVS store itself has such a HUGE selection or items and such great deals and sale especially if you use your coupons. When they changed around where everything was at, that was frustrating but after a few times of going you start adjusting. The staff working on the floor are alway very nice and willing to help as much as possible!

Need to use CVS due to my insurance plan. Ive had some good experiences at this pharmacy, but tonight I was treated rudely. It’s a shame because being treated badly gives me a bad feeling about the place in general. Maybe if enough people complain, someone will see these reviews and do something about it. Since I’m forced to go there… I have no choice but to continue to return - Even when I have to deal with rude treatment!

This location used to be a motel. I think it was called "Busky's Motel". Decades ago a murder took place there and the woman who committed it hid the gun she used in a vent in the motel room. She wasn't charged with murder until something like 15 years later when the motel started renovations and the weapon was found covered in dust just laying in the vent. Interesting story, look it up.

Just stopped at CVS pharmacy today and Allison Park and were able to go in as a family of five and get flu vaccines for everybody. They did a wonderful job. Very convenient and friendly staff. Will definitely be returning in the future.

I have always had positive experiences with the Pharmists there. I had to have perscriptions filled elsewhere as they had special pricing for certain drugs that CVS didn't offer, but that in no way was the fault of the staff. Remember, these associates are on their feet all day and have very stressful jobs.

Absolutely horrible system. Drive through COVID testing is the same line as regular prescription pickups. I couldn’t go in the building because I have two babies and figured I’d just go through the drive through. I waited a solid 35+ minutes to pick up one prescription. Rethink this design.

Called to confirm my prescription was ready for pick up. Drove 30 minutes to get there and waited in line for over 20 minutes for them to tell me my prescription would not be ready for two more days. Drove all the way home just for them to call me and tell me they actually had it the whole time.

Despite the obvious challenges and pressures of this often hectic business, the Allison Park CVS pharmacy staff always does a great job for me and my family. Sometimes, people are really in a hurry to get their medicine and feel desperate or in pain. This may be the cause of the negativity in several of the other reviews.

Pharmacist "shelly" has a bad attitude. Seemed bothered by me requesting a refill to wait for it. Was told in a bad attitude that "we'll try to get it done before the pharmacy closes" which is at 9. It was 8:15 when I had asked for a refill. This isn't the first bad experience I've had here either. Everyone back in the pharmacy seems to have a nasty attitude.

Covid testing at this place is a scam. They take your sample. Charge your med insurance. And then just forget about you. No results and no answers. The call center numbers they give you do not exist. There is no one you can complain to or contact for your test results. Well played CVS.

I got tested here for covid, they told me 2-7 days, I called back after 6 and they told me that my specimen had “leaked” and they had no results to give. They didn’t let me know it leaked and I didn’t find out until I called. Horrible customer service during a time like this.

I usually love this cvs except i had an awful experience with monica being so rude i cried. I havent gone back for months. I had to grab something and couldnt make it to the cvs 25 minutes away so i went there. Once again she was so rude. I refuse to spend money at this location again. Treat me bad once shame on you treat me bad again shame on me i guess.

I think it is not a good idea to have test kits right next to the drive thru where you pick on your medicine someone may hit there car with that. This is worst design ever.

rude, ignorant, zero consideration for the fact that the customers are the only reason they have jobs. The pharmacist points out that it’s one minute after 6 and won’t help me. Always some reason they won’t help you and pass judgement at CVS Pharmacy
