We've been going to Joanie's for years. Not ever because of the service. She is always rude and has an attitude about how your dog looks (like hello, we're going to you for help). We continued going there because of the price (which isn't even cheap anymore) but jokes on us, now I know why. Yesterday was the last straw. Not only does the place look like it's getting dirtier but the cuts are getting worse. Our dog look pretty much the same when we picked her up.At first glance you think it's nice that Joanie's doesn't cage the pups. She leaves them to roam free in the store. Not after today!!! There is no prescreening to check for rabies or ticks. My dog came home with a tick AFTER the haircut. She's never had a tick.Last thing I will say is that my sister in law went to pick my dog up and she didn't know it was cash only. They kept my terrified dog there as "collateral" (even though my dog saw her come in) until she could find the money. She ran around town for 30 min trying to find a cash back spot. We've been going there for over 9 years & you'd think they'd allow us to come back with the cash.Sorry Joanie, it's time to retire.

We’ve taken Bailey, our standard poodle, to Joanie’s for the past 11 years. She (and/or her staff) always do a beautiful job on him. He is always excited to go there and likes to play with the other pups there. He is always treated well and is happily hanging out with Joanie when we come for him. Before him, we took our standard, Shadow, to Joanie for almost 13 years. I have recommended Joanie to quite a few people.

I have been taking my dog to Joanie's for about 2 years. The last few times he came home with cuts and slices on his paws. We had to wrap them in bandages and wait or 3 days for it to heal. They were pretty deep on the pad of his feet. We asked the ladies to be to please be careful. We have decided not to return to Joanie's. Besides, the customer service is less than optimal. I guess you're used to working with dogs and not people.

Took my dog there to get groomed. Told her not to kennel her because she hates being kenneled….Did it anyways. Then she yelled at me because my dog had knots which unfortunately was my fault but my daughter was in the hospital back and forth. So a haircut for my dog was the last thing on my mind. This is HER JOB! She obviously isn’t the most pleasant and personable person. This is why I am no longer going to her with both of my dogs. I rather pay more and deal with someone that treats me like a customer that wants to return!

So, My mom brings our dog Wilson here every time he needs a grooming. The ladies behind the counter are rude and have cut his paw just about every time, then complain to us that he moved. If you can't be patient with a dog who you consistently hurt, then don't work with animals.They've convinced us not to take him there again, and I hope no one else puts their dogs through this. I have been taking my dogs to Joanie for about 20 years. Joanie and her staff are some of the nicest, caring, and professional people I have ever met. My dogs have always looked great when I pick them up. They are groomed exactly the way I want them every time. The attention to detail and care they provide is unmatched.

I have been bringing my pets to Joanie for over 20 years and have nothing but great things to say about this place! My current dog is a slightly nervous and quirky beagle mix who is 12. When we got him as a puppy, he was so uncooperative with our vet techs clipping his nails that they told us he would need to be sedated ... every time! Joanie realized how crazy this was and just very firmly, but carefully clipped his nails right in front of me. He has gone there happily once a month ever since. Joanie is the best!

I took my beautiful Golden Retriever to Joanie and she did a wonderful job. My sweet girl looked even more beautiful when she was finished. This place is top notch and the dogs are treated with patience and kindness. Joanie is always very welcoming!

First I will start by saying, the prices are good.My dog always smells very clean. I love that the pups are able to roam free. Staff is very friendly.I have taken my dog to this place three times and was very specific on what I wanted each time. On every occasion my dog was cut the way Joanie wanted it in-which I didn’t like. The last two times, I didn’t make a big deal. My dog should be cut the way I like as I’m the one paying. I gave my dog a ponytail and asked her to leave it and cut all the hair low around it. Upon picking up my dog her ponytail was cut down the hair around it wasn’t and her nails weren’t! Guess its time to fine another groomer!!

Been taking my dog there for awhile, however, the owner does not treat costumers well. In fact herself and the other only person she has working there is also rude. I do not recommend this place. Trying to make an appointment is also a nightmare, again please don’t put your dog through suffering. If they treat you bad, who knows how they treat your pet.

My family has been taking our dogs to Joanie’s for years and are always happy with how great a job Joanie and her staff do and at reasonable prices. While grooming is not the dogs’ favorite activity, they enjoy playing with the other dogs while they wait their turn or our arrival rather than being put in cages.

Always have had nothing but great experiences here. Joanie and staff take tentative care of our fur babies, keep them looking great, they are easy enough to schedule with, and most importantly - our pups are happy too. I definitely recommend!

Awful experience. Joanie was incredibly rude and condescending. The dogs were left to mingle with each other all day, and several of the dogs growled and snarled at my dog when we came in. The facility was so unwelcoming and Joanie was so rude and dismissive that we turned right around and made an appointment elsewhere. I can't believe she can run a business with the attitude that she has. I wouldn't trust her with my dry cleaning for the day, let alone my dog. We were very happy with the service we received at PetSmart.

Wasn't really happy with the cut but I didn't say anything right then. Had my dog shaved but after I looked closer once I got home I realized that the clipper marks were very prominent. Reasonably priced, didn't require proof of shots (although it wouldn't have been an issue), and doesn't take plastic (cash or check only). Tried scheduling an appointment earlier but no one ever returned my call. Probably not going back there anytime soon.

Joanie was rude and condescending towards us when we came in with two Yorkies. We also had a baby with us and when we tried to enter she told us to get out and then came out and snatched our dogs out of our arms then tried to justify herself and attitude towards us. She also did not warn us that it was cash only before we left so when we came back she gave us attitude for not having cash. She is extremely rude and stuck up, I have no idea how she can run a customer service business with the attitude that she has.

I've gone here numerous times, but this past time this year was different. My dog's nails were not cut at all. He had nicks all over from the trimmer. They didn't seem to clean his rear at all, and he was seriously upset and traumatized when I came and picked him up. There were only 3 dogs there and mine was in a cage (he never needed to be put there before). I don't know if it's someone new that they hired, but that is the LAST time I go there.

Just picked up our Shih Tzu/Poodle mix, Maggie May from her spa appointment at Joanie's Puppy Salon.As expected, Maggie May looks adorable with her “Puppy Cut” for the summer.Maggie received her special oatmeal shampoo to help with her dry skin and also received a manicure and pedicure.Once again Joanie did an outstanding job taking great care of our 15-year-old “Puppy”.When we arrived Maggie May was running around with the other puppies, obviously enjoying herself, and looking great in her new doo.I have been taking our puppies to Jonies for 20+ years, and have always been very pleased with her professional, courteous, and pleasant service. I have been taking my two 5lb ty poodles here to get groomed for several years now despite moving an hour away. The cut is excellent and makes the dogs look absolutely flatterring. I have tried several other groomers a la petsmart, and a local groomer in the bucks county area, but the dogs comes out looking like they got into a tussle with a lawn mower.More importantly, Joanie gets the details right. Their nails are trimmed, the fur between their paws are cut, the fur in their ears are cleaned up. The dogs are always visibly happier after a cut.As others have mentioned, the medium and larger sized dogs roam around behind the gate, while the small dogs will go into the kennel and hang out. Some may have a problem with this, but it's good socialization for the dogs to interact with each other.

Did good job on hair cuts but the customer service is horrible ladies are very rude and nasty. They gave my wife a very hard time and attitude when she tried getting through the door with two dogs and a baby. Btw no sign in the door that say no credit or debit cards I wanted to pay $84 for two small terrier cuts and had to run to the bank and pay $3 charge at a local bank after being told rudely we don't take care cash only. Good luck here
