These people have everything in the store and are incredibly helpful. Including the knowledge to get things right. I needed some gas pipe and fittings to fix a leaky valve that couldn't be replaced 1:1. They spent a lot of time with me to get a new valve and fittings so that I could minimize the re-piping. Extremely pleased every time I visit.

Wanted to write a review because I'm a wimp and was nervous about going here alone. It's a nice little store that they managed to get a lot of products into. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Not to mention the prices(for what I needed) were amazing. I purchased cement colouring that is $18 everywhere else and only $8 here for the same brand and size. I'll definitely come back!Also the parking lot seems to be closed for now so you just park along the side. Maybe it's about to be repaved.

Alam’s has consistently impressed me with their extensive inventory, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and competitive pricing. A good old fashioned hardware store is difficult to find these days. Where they do exist, you’re all but guaranteed to be faced with the choice of convenience or savings. No matter what I’ve needed, Alam’s shelves have delivered at pricing that makes me forget about the big box alternatives. If you’re looking for the best of both worlds, this is where you’ll find it!

Had to take a trip here for some parts I couldn't find close to home. This place is incredible. Smiling faces on all of the employees and I believe I was asked if I needed help 5 different times in my 10 minute visit. Staff was very knowledgeable.

I like this store, it is privately owned by nice people and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. The prices are very good and they often have things you won't find elsewhere. The downside is that it is nearly impossible to shop this store yourself as it is set up in what amounts to a maze so you have no choice but to enlist the help of the employees to find most things.

Staff were friendly through the store, but the prices and products didnt match. And the cashier was pretty ignorant about it and in general. You can find me at C&I Hardware or Home Depot after that experience. Everyone is much more pleasant there.

I wish I could rate this lower then just a one star. The store was VERY cluttered and UNORGANIZED! I asked someone for help the one day and they simply could not help me with what I needed. They acted clueless and they also seemed like they had better things to do then help me. I was very upset with their customer service, management, salesmanship, and the over all layout of the store. I am definitely not going back to Alam’s. Just go to C and I and they will save your time and money! Great service and overall amazing people and store! What a great family atmosphere!!!

The hardware section is great, however I tried to get countertops and carpet because I wanted to shop local but was extremely disappointed. After going there five times on different days and times and being told there is only one guy that can help for each purchase I finally left my name and number to have them call me. I needed countertops for a larger kitchen remodel and carpet for a living room. Three weeks later and no call from either of them. I was only able to buy the vinyl planking from there because it was in stock. I loaded all 9 boxes in carts myself and took up to the register. I feel bad for not being able to purchase more local, but I tried.

As I was shopping around for a particular grill for my fiancé (wedding gift) I stumbled upon Alam’s who happened to have one in stock and already assembled. Rather than purchase from Bass Pro or some similar large company, I decided to buy small and local. Boy am I glad I did. I spoke with Mike about the grill initially over the phone. I told him that I’d buy it and that I’d be by to pick it up. As promised, when I arrived, the grill was ready to go. Mike - who had left for the day - had informed his employees that I’d be stopping so there was no confusion when I arrived. I was greeted and led straight to the grill. One of his employees then pointed out that an advertising magnet/sticker that was on the grill lid left a mark on it and that they couldn’t get it off. Even though it was a manufacturer sticker - not Alam’s - Mike offered me a complimentary bag of wood pellets and gave me the manufacturer’s contact info to have a new lid ordered. He also gave me his personal contact info should I have any problems with the manufacturer. The employees who loaded the grill into our truck were super helpful and offered my fiancé tips and tricks on how to use it. The woman behind the counter wished me congratulations on our upcoming wedding.Overall great experience. Would drive the 40 minutes and pass up ten other hardware stores for the service at Alam’s. It’s worth it to do business with real people.
