Cashier stole my groceries and manager refused to replace or recognize my purchase.Short explanation: bought groceries, made it to the car. I realized they were missing and returned to the store 5 minutes later and they pretended I never made the purchase.

Really messed up aisles and no room to navigate, but a fantastic selection and way cheaper than popular stores. The cashier, Aimee, was amazing and very funny as well. It's one of two Dollar Generals within a 20 mile radius. We don't have these in Washington State, so it was refreshing.

Arrived at the register with everything I intended to purchase along with my service dog (9 pound cavalier poodle mix). Was refused to be able to purchase anything. No one asked if my dog was a service animal. When I asked why, the lady at the counter said its because she was the only one there and no one could check. None of this encounter made any sense. Dropped the stuff I intended to purchase at the counter and left. Will not be returning as they do not allow service animals and were quite rude.

Closed. They had to serve a man that refused to wear a mask. Everyone kept their distance. I guess he'll be a dead American. Very sad. I hope I'm wrong.

I go to this Dollar General because it's convenient. Some of the workers are friendly, professional and want to work. Some do not. But the biggest problem I see is that the owners are cheap and don't want to pay to hire enough people and keep them. There's ALWAYS empty shelves with tons of boxes sitting around, obstructing your path, filled with merchandise that no one has enough time (again understaffed) to stock the shelves. There were sooo many times I wanted to just do it for them myself. lol. Management has to stop being so greedy and spend the money to get sufficient help. There's been a HUGE influx of residence in the area. They're keeping the profits and not reinvesting in the store to keep customers happy.

Surprised at all they had available in this store. It's the local shop in this area that have a mixture of things. There's food, convenience items, batteries, we managed to find a toaster and Epsom salts. Overall totally understand why these dollar generals are everywhere in this area. This area has Jim Thorpe as main attraction while other cities are around but more rural and these stores help with essentials aside from food stores.

Very nice and personable cashiers. There are 3 of them ( night shift ) that I really enjoy seeing them when I go in. They always say hello, and never give me a hard time even though I do stop in maybe 1/2 before they close. I promise I'm a fast shopper...sorry. Anyway, besides the very nice workers, this store has everything from sheets to lamps to makeup and soap. They even have rugs and rolling clothing racks. If you need it, I'm sure they have it. I found everything I needed when I moved up here. I didn't have to drive all the way to lowes or Walmart which is like 1/2 hour away..

Always my go to instead of the "BIG" stores & crowds & lines. Perfect for a quick in & out for anything I need. Pretty happy with their plus size selection in clothing. Cute up to date styles, affordable prices, and actually my size in stock.

Isn't always the most organized place as far as the items on the shelves go, but the people are SO NICE and SO AWESOME!! Also, it has a lot more than you'd think: basic groceries, ice cream... it's a nice and easy zip in, zip out store if you need (e.g.) eggs or milk.

I was drive a class 2 🚚 truck. Load with materials and the bungy cords that I had was dry rotted. Needed New cords. Dollar General didn't have any but they had 2ply rope and rope cutter. The sales attendants were so, so very helpful. Just an awesome experience. Keep up the 👍 good works.To God Be The Glory. Amen!

The store was an enormous mess and the food coolers were filthy. The line was 1/2 way to the back of the store before the manager bothered to come out and help the one very sweet but obviously overwhelmed cashier, and he was wearing his COVID mask as a beard catcher. Pointless doing that! The check out counters were filthy and no-one was enforcing the COVID-19 restrictions. I will not be going back.

It's a pretty average dollar store. Huge variety of many different off brand items. Pretty good deals on stuff that'll cost you twice as much in other stores, and not much different or better. Great for getting a lot of disposable products and/or party supplies.

Conveniently located to where we were staying. They actually had a lot of groceries there. The one small, local grocery store didn't usually open until 10AM. And the next closest grocery store was 20-25 minutes away so this was a nice emergency back up for u if we needed something (eggs, butter, snacks, drinks). They opened fairly early as well.

This Dollar General manager is rude and will follow someone around the store to see if they are stealing. She thinks cutting up boxes are more important than taking care of customers on a line thats 20 people long. No customer service at all

This place needs a new manager!!!! Always closed in snowy weather. No sign stating they are closed until you see the door is locked. Had to drive to the one in Jim Thorpe that one was open. The manager at Jim Thorpe said it was up to the manager to close it. FIRE THIS MANAGER!!!! We live in the Pocono's if you are afraid of snow move somewhere else.

I was in on a Saturday, you know when you use your $5.00 off coupon. The store was packed.one register opened and a line down the middle of the store. When they finally opened the second register and called the next person, no one moved. So I did and was told that I wasn't next and would have to wait!! The staff is rude, they look like they just rolled out of bed. The store is messy and unorganized. The one in Penn Forest Township is far better!

When this store gets a truck shipment, the entire stick from the truck is unloaded inside the store. Where people shop! These isles are a mess!! You are tripping and moving the new stuff off the truck. I had reached over piles of stuff to get to storage bins, all the lids came down on my head. Thank god it was just the lids....it could have been worse! Then since I made such a racket, and associate stocking shelves, walked by the isle I was in, looks at me, with lids n bins all around me, n just keeps going. I was like I'm fine, thanks for the concern!! Jerk. Very unconsidered....

To much clutter in the front of the store, They have one register running and the line could be down the isle and the other employees do not come over to help. While all the customers are looking around for someone to open a register they just walk buy and keep doing what they are doing.

This is the most untidy and worst managed Dollar General I've been to, hands down. They tend to not have enough cashiers on duty and it always seems a tornado has been through the store. This is a last resort if everything else is closed.

I'm particial to this store. Lisa always goes the extra mile. She assisted me with a purchase that put me in good standing with my wife. Otherwise, great selection, store always clean, and never a long wait.

Yes,this store is typically over crowded,a little disorganized and slow/low staffed. But for someone who lives out this way. I go for convenience. Being most things are minimally 20 mins out. I'll take the good with the bad. You have 1 in every crowd that will make or break your experience and I have had both in this store.

Always a bargain to be had. People were doing the right thing; wearing masks, social distancing, etc. Even though there was a line, it moved fairly quick. Amazing the stuff you didn't know you needed, but at the prices who can resist?

Dollar General is one of my favorite chain stores. Great prices and they have almost everything! Some basic smartphones are even sold there. It's almost like a mini Walmart, except cheaper and easier to navigate.

Terrible. 1 checkout girl, approximately 25 people waiting on line. Mgr. Away, scheduled only 1 person on, another guy there but had to finish his 7 minute break, disgraceful. I am a small business owner, and would have jumped in to clear up line then go on break. Need reorginazation in that store. I would not shop there again.

Ok so there is never any essentials like Milk or mostly any other dairy. Comes in on the Monday truck gone by tuesday next truck not till Friday and everything is gone by friday evening. People and service is great. Just need more Milk!!!!!

I was looking for pants and a long sleeve shirt for an 11 year old boy. They didn't have it. They didn't have much of anything. But the employee was very very polite and helpful.

This place is a joke. 9 out of 10 times you ask a question and recieve an unhelpful answer. The store is usually a mess and is constantly unstocked. And, the worst part is their customer service. They'll have 3 people on the shift and only one register open and a line of 10 to 20 people, so you'll end up standing in line for 20 minutes while their other workers hide to avoid helping. All in all horrible ew experience shopping here.

Nice selection. Friendly staff. They have EVERYTHING. I'm glad i drive here versus the supermarket 8 miles away. The weather was terrible and this location was a true gem.
