We love Source Farms. My wife found them at the Farmers market last year. Grass Fed grass finished beef and we did the summer and fall CSA for the veggies. Bragged about it so much our whole family bought in and we split a cow this summer. Well worth it!

I chose to order a lamb share through source farms after learning about how dedicated they are to properly raising their animals and caring for their land. The lamb share was unbelievable, the absolute best lamb I have ever had, but more importantly, building a relationship with the individuals at source farms has been priceless. I am so happy to know that I can help support these amazing people who make it their life's mission to care for the land and raise happy, healthy animals. I often visit the farm store, and find them at the local farmer's markets. I highly recommend Source Farms to everyone who enjoys supporting the environment and chooses to eat the highest quality foods possible.

Source Farms is so fantastic! I never liked beef as a kid and ate it rarely as an adult - didn’t love the flavor or texture. That is until I discovered that I do love grass fed beef. You can taste the difference and flavor and texture. Plus it’s healthier since it is leaner, has more nutritional value, + omega fats. I’m obsessed! I researched local farms and landed on Source Farms and they are my go to for beef and other meats. Top quality with amazing customer service. You can tell they are passionate about what they do. Tip- if you buy a share (1/8th of a cow or more) you can get 15% off of other cuts. Don’t wait, you need source farms meat in your life!

Absolutely amazing beef, and an incredible selection of other meat, seafood, and local goods in their farm store. If you find mead in the store, do yourself a favor and buy as much as possible. Definitely worth the trip out to Yamhill in and of itself, or a great add-on if you're visiting wineries in the area. As a customer, you'll feel like part of the farm family. I have ordered the beef sampler pack a few times. I can tell you the meat is noticably better. Good quality, flavorful. I have a higher comfort level in consuming their products. The farmers/staff are always friendly, accommodating and seemingly, people of good character!

I’ve been a long term customer of Kookoolan farms for their quality beef, lamb and chicken but it’s a long drive so I stocked up a couple times per year. Now that they joined with Tabula Rasa to form Source Farms, there is amazing pork available. They also started coming to a few farmer’s markets this year which made it super convenient. They recently ran a year end special on lamb, but there were no local pick up options so I wavered on purchasing. Farmer Mike not only customized my box to get the cuts I most wanted, he delivered it to my house on a day he was in Portland. This was one of the best customer experiences of my life. I already loved Source Farms for their quality, animal care and sustainability and now I can add caring and personal customer service to my list of reasons to shop at and recommend Source Farms.

Go there right now!! Source farms is an awesome resource for both our local community, and also visitors to the area. They have such a great collection of local goods, amazing produce, and delicious ethically raised and sourced meat and seafood. Also the staff are a wonderful breath of fresh air. I go for produce and meat, and always end up finding perfect culinary gifts that are such a cool way to share them bounty of Yamhill County and the Willamette Valley.

Highly recommend! We were visiting the area and stopped in to buy some local ingredients to cook at our Airbnb for a few meals. Everything from the meat, to the diary, to the produce, to the baked goods, to the wine was local and clean. We ended up stopping by multiple times to pick up ingredients for breakfast and dinner. It was such a fun and unexpected treat to our trip! We will absolutely be back.

We have been getting eggs, salmon, beef, and most recently lamb from this awesome farm for years. This was our first (half) lamb and the flavor is seriously the best. Next time we're getting a full lamb!We are huge proponents of local agriculture and humanely harvested animals. Kookoolan Farms does it right and we love their mission. I have a rare condition called histamine intolerance. It requires that I only eat meat that is frozen immediately after slaughter or else I get very sick. I can’t eat any meat from the grocery store. I was surprised when I called Kookoolan and not only had they heard of this condition (because most other farmers haven’t!) but they have a special butchering process for people like me! I got a half lamb and it was SO good! Tender, juicy, organic, grass-fed nutrition with no reaction to the meat! TheIs farm is a delight to work with! Very professional, organized, friendly and well-informed. I’m getting a quarter cow next and I’m a customer for life! I could not be happier with this experience! The farm store is great too! Very clean & organized and friendly, knowledgeable staff too!

We have have purchased grass fed beef and lamb from Kookoolan Farms for the past several years. The quality of their products are wonderful; add that to their ethical and environmentally conscious farming practices and you get a great all around experience purchasing food for your family. Kookoolan farms has delicious meat that one can feel good about eating. Farmers Chrissie and Koorosh take excellent care of their animals, who are humanely raised and not transported elsewhere for processing. This is truly sustainable agriculture, and it is evident in the quality of the meat. The chickens are the best I have ever tasted! You cannot get meat like this at a grocery store. If not for this small farm, I would ethically avoid meat altogether. Their butcher has custom cutting, and so it is easy to get package sizes appropriate for 2 people. This meat is simply the best you can get, and worth every penny.

I've been a Kookoolan Farms customer for several years now, and have always been impressed with their service and care. Over the years, Kookoolan has worked with different butchers and packing shops, but Chrissie always does an excellent job communicating options and finding the best available partners. The price is right, and the quality of all products - meat, drinks, even cookbooks - is absolutely superb.I recommend Kookoolan to all my friends and family in the area and we're so grateful to Chrissie and Koorosh for all the hard work they do on the farm!

We've been customers of Kookoolan Farms for the past few years and have always had a fantastic experience. Chrissie and Koorosh are always so helpful, quick to respond, and answer any questions we have. They care about their community, animals, and customers and it shows.The quality of their products is amazing, and I appreciate the ethics behind all of their offerings. We mostly purchase beef shares, but we've also tried about everything they offer and have been really impressed. The seafood they source directly and have in their store is another thing we will be adding to our freezer. It is the best.They are not the cheapest beef out there, nor do they claim to be, but the quality and what you get for the price is well worth it and still a deal (free cookbooks too!!). They will always help you find the right fit for your budget and family (and freezer), without judgement or pressure of any kind. Just kind, honest, and helpful information.

Great country store with fish, pork, lamb, and beef. We had a cc to pay and found that they only take cash or check. They let us take the goods we wanted with the plan plan to send them a check. Drove one to them today. Thoroughly impressed by the trust they showed in us. So refreshing. They have earned some loyal customers.

This farm is just the best!! We love getting Eggs and meat weekly and enjoy getting some of the other great items they offer in the form store ( wine, seafood, seasonings, yogurt, and much more). Its fun to see the ducks roaming the yard and beautiful scenery. Friendly farm store I hope you enjoy visiting.

I have always loved Kookoolan Farms' story, but I never actually purchased meat from them until this year (before that I had my own farm and produced my own food). Everything from the way they treat the animals, employees, and how they are true stewards of the land from the way they do business and help the community is extraordinary. The beef we purchased was high quality and so reasonably priced (I've seen much higher prices elsewhere). Plus you get so many bonuses from the offal and bones (many other places don't offer these or you pay extra). Thanks Farmers Chrissie and Koroosh for all you do in following your passion. Great little store in between Yamhill and Carlton on highway 47. There is a wide variety of products including meat for dinner or filling your freezer and local items for gifting or enjoying. Definitely worth stopping by and visiting again!

Such a great experience! Chrissie was quickly responsive and extremely helpful. Fun to meet her, too, when we picked up at the farm. We LOVE the side of beef that we got, and it was worth the drive down to pick it up. Looking forward to converting to their new club! On a very humorous note, unbeknownst to me, my sister ordered 1/8 beef to be picked up at The Meating Place the same day our 1/2 beef was ready to be picked up. On further conversation, we discovered that both of us had, independently, chosen Kookoolan Farms to provide our beef, and ended up with the same butcher and pick up dates! Not bad for living in 2 different states... ;)

I can’t speak highly enough of Chrissie and Koorosh. Not only is the quality of their product fantastic (it truly is), but their communication and kindness are top notch! We have been getting humanely raised, organic chickens from Kookoolan for a decade and feel so incredibly grateful (and lucky)! There are other farms raising chickens humanely, but none near us that are also strictly organically fed. We have no interest in eating pesticide and herbicide residue in our meats, especially given that we eat the fat and make stock from the bones. We make sure to get at least 70+ chickens from them during the summer and fall harvesting season so that we can have chicken all year long until the next year! Our family cannot get enough of Kookoolan chicken with fresh herbs in the Instant Pot. A truly incredible combination.
