It was an amazing experience. All the staff was so friendly and helpful and to see the care they provide for the animals is amazing. What they have behind the scenes we may never know but thats just the magic that goes into the conservation of this park. You can visually see all of the animals are happy and well cared for by specialized vets and caretakers that take the job serious. Without the staff and their love for animals and the way they run their conservation methods we may have already lost many of the species we have grown to love today.

We spent today here. It had been many years since we'd been there, so some things have changed, such as some of the predatory animals not roaming free as in yrs past. But, I do understand why they probably had to change that. Still, we enjoyed it so much. The weather was perfect, and this place is so well maintained. Definitely do the walk through as well, if you have time. The landscaping is very pretty, too. Both adults and children really love feeding the birds, in the aviary.

Your trip can begin and end with a visit to the gift shop and petting zoo area. There's also various exhibits ranging from aquarium to monkeys. A word of caution, if you want to experience the entire park without a membership, it can get expensive. Personally, we had a person in our party who had a membership, and we were granted access under their account. The train ride was down, so we didn't get that opportunity. We still did the drive through the park, and it is quite extensive and impressive. Animals roam free in large, fenced-in areas, and the people are in cages of their vehicles. LONS, TIGER'S AND BEARS, oh,my! Elephants, rhinos, hippopotamus, zebras, and the list goes on. Plan on spending some time if you want to get the full experience.

Beautiful sunny day that wasn't too cold so we could enjoy the animals with the windows down. Went in the afternoon of a weekday, so very light traffic & the animals were all out & playful. This preserve is spectacular & massive with so many animals from all over the world. Today's favorite was the young grizzly bear playing & running. Also, two Emos fighting over the feed cup LOL. Make sure to bring at least $5 cash so you can feed some of the animals. This place is a must see & I'll be going back at least once a year!

Wow wow wow, This was such a great experience. We last minute got tickets for this safari on our way up to Portland and it was 100% worth it. There was a slight drilling so it was am interesting experience. Many of the animals were out cuddled up with each other. We spent around 2 hours here. Not many cars on the trail. Be careful feeding the emus... food go everywhere haha. This is a must stop !

A great place for people young and old. The kids we're super excited each time we spotted a new animal on the drive through, and the adults felt a child like anticipation. The walk through village offered an educational experience with different animals to see and interact with and the chance to see some creatures very up close and personal.

I love this place. Went with my granddaughters. They had a blast. They loved feeding the animals. The ostriches and deer came straight up to my car. The bears are my favorite. They seemed so relaxed laying in the shade. The leopards and cheetahs were nice to see. We saw them eating their dinner. The walk in part of the park was very nice. We walked around and saw several animals there. We loved the babies. I would highly recommend this place. It is a great place to stop while on vacation or if you just want to have a special day.

I did the encounters where you get to see the animals up close for the cheetah and the elephant. staff were really cool, and it was a great experience. I really think for the money you pay, and the length you get to spend with the animals (15-20 minutes) you should get a better picture. The pic of the cheetah by itself was my camera(canon 80D) and the picture of us with it is with my iPhone 13 pro max. It could have been worse though because the keeper put my phone down in the wet grass and I was worried it would come out blurry. I understand it’s not really in their list of concerns when they have to take care of animals that eat hundreds of pounds of food. I just think people would be more stoked afterwords if the picture they got was better. It’s not necessarily bad, it could just be better.

My sisters and I LOVE this place!! We go whenever we need a break from the daily grind, and it never disappoints. Book your tickets through groupon to get a better deal!! Seriously, it will save you a ton. We have been here in the winter, fall, summer, and spring and can honestly say it has been fun each time. If you go when it's under 50 degrees, the giraffes won't be out, but there is still plenty to see. I recommend getting there right after it opens to avoid the crowds. Go once around the drive thru part, come back, and go through the walk about section. Hang onto your ticket and go around a second time! Just tell them it's your second time through, and they will take your ticket. It is so worth it! Don't hurry through the drive thru part, as you never know what you will see. Take along some quarters to feed the sheep & goats! Super fun place for adults and children alike.

It’s our second time visiting @wildlife.safari, and we love it more with each visit. We have been here 2 years ago when A was 2 years old and lil was around 3 months baby.We recommend going in spring or fall when the weather is not too cold or hot for animals to roam around and be visible. Start your day early if you plan to encounter animals and book your slots in advance to avoid missing out, as spots are limited. While there is a cafeteria in the village, we recommend carrying food in your vehicle to save time and spend more time watching animals. Kids loved feeding emu and deers.

A must go if you are in the area. The prices are good and you have to do the encounters. Very kid friendly. During the drive through safari, get the animal feed to feed the deer and birds. Your kiddos will go crazy. The cafe is small and the food is pretty basic but if your kids aren't too picky then you'll be fine. Buy your tickets online and call customer service to book the encounters beforehand to save time. We went on a weekend and there was no wait.

☆I had not been to Wildlife Safari in many years & we took my 6 year old daughter to the Winston location as it's one of her favorite places to go. The outing was fun, and besides my daughter's excitement, her mother & I both enjoyed the visit, yet there are a couple areas that could be improved on. Our main observation was that certain animal habitats seemed to be purposely difficult to see within unless you paid extra cash $$ to be on a tour that featured a safari vehicle & special access. I was disappointed by that, feeling a little deprived of the full experience. I did notice that many animals had a look of sadness, mainly the carnivores. This could be just a coincidence with my observation purely speculative in nature.I must say, overall, it was a good day & we were able to see a lot of animals & most importantly, my 6 year old daughter had a good time, ince even saying it was as if she were in a dream.*we will go again with the hopes of having even greater success seeing the wide variety of animals at Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon.

We had such a great time! The village has so many animals to see, a petting zoo for the kiddos where they can feed goats and other animals and pan for gems. We did the lion encounter, which allowed us to see them up close with their keeper. We also did the tiger and the hippo art encouter, which was my favorite part of the whole visit. We got to bring the art home with us. We also did the open truck safari ride, which I recommend if you have a large group. The safari drive has feeding posts that are not accessible in the open truck ride.Their restaurant has good grill food; burgers (veggie burgers too), chicken strips, sandwiches, chili, mac and cheese, and salads, too. Ice cream for dessert, and they even have self labeled beer! Something for everyone. It's definitely worth the drive for a wonderful day spent.

I have been visiting Wildlife Safari for the past 35+ years (about every 4-5 years we make a trip down). It's a wonderful experience, and a treat to see so many animals- some up close! Some things have changed over the years. For example, the lions used to roam free to the point they had to open a gate to let each car in and out. Now they're contained behind fences. I'm guessing it's an insurance requirement (which says more for society than anything). It's still a great place to visit. The day we were there this time was pretty hot. The rhinos were hiding in the shade near the top of the hill, but other than that, pretty much all of the other critters were out and about. We didn't do the train or camel ride this time, but have in the past (and enjoyed both). All in all, Wildlife Safari is absolutely worth a trip- granted it's no Loro Parque, but is educational, charming, and enjoyable in it's own way. Yes, we will absolutely be back in a couple years.

A day trip to our planet! This is not a zoo, but this is an awesome educational experience for all. I am not a big wildlife or animal buff, but this experience changed my mind. The village is an awesome place to see animals up close for free. Some amenities like the camel rides and train rides are not free. The camels were $10, and the train was $5 per person. Make sure you bring cash as they have feeding opportunities for the aviary area with the budgees. After we left the village, we went through the drive-through park (must purchase tickets to go into park; I recommend Groupon for the tickets) to see all the different animals around the planet. Some were sleeping, but we were able to see many of the animals, especially the giraffes. Towards the end, you are able yo feed some animals. Be careful of the ostriches or emus as the peck the feed out of your hand. The cup of food costs $5 prior to the feeding area. Overall, I love this place and will consider coming back in the future! My kids enjoyed it and was the most enjoyable experience (without my 5 kids fighting in the backseat) I have ever had.

Tons of family fun. Lots of animals to see, plenty of activities in the village. Playground, petting zoo, camel rides, train rides, Photo Booth. snacks, gift shop. Everything extra cost extra. Place is affordable for the most part and about average. Lots of more intimate options for interacting with animals for a cost. Arrived at 2pm and many animals were napping already. You could see them; just laying down. Earlier arrival time would be best we assumed. Village layout is a little confusing and viewing window glass had major glare. We will be back.

What a cool experience. I'm glad we drove a tiny bit out of the way to experience this park. Very affordable and family-friendly. My teenage daughter loved it...(zero eye-rolls) just smiles and happy squeals.

Great little set up. Lots of great things to see. My advice is don't let the guy behind you rush you through. Tell him/her to go around and race to the finish on their own time. You only get the one trip through and it's not by the car but the passengers inside so take your time and really enjoy the presentation. I love the fact that they are doing this the right way and not like some nasty places that try to make money off the poor animals.

We loved the safari! My two- and one-year olds loved it too, and weren't bored even though they'd already been in the van for over an hour just to get there. It was a cool, overcast day, and we saw all the animals really well. I've heard hot, sunny days are the worst for viewing the animals, and I believe that. The feed cups for the deer and emu are $5 a cup, which seems really expensive. We bought one and split it, and that seemed sufficient for us. All in all, this is a must-experience destination and I recommend it to everyone.Restrooms: Cleaned regularly, well-supplied

This was my first time going. There was enough parking for today’s crowd, but it didn’t seem very big. It was a nice drive to see some animals.I was expecting to see more, but it is summer & hot.I appreciated they had little outhouses towards the beginning & vending machines. But I’d bring your own sanitizer. Because there wasn’t any out of the two.We saw maybe half of the animals. We couldn’t tell if they were just hiding out in the shade or what. At one point you can feed some animals & purchase a cup of food for $5 each. The restaurant isn’t anything special. You can see the Lemurs outside the windows, which is fun!I was a little sad the train was down for maintenance, but oh well. You can enter the area with the gift shop/restaurant for free There’s a little playground outside. Goat & sheep to feed.Bringing quarters for that is good to keep in mind because get the food from a little machine that only takes quarters. All in all a cool place to go to see some animals for a few hours. Maybe just don’t expect to see every animal 😌

Spent a fun day exploring Wildlife Safari with the grandson during Spring Break. Started in Safari Village with the many exhibits including an up close cheetah and it's dog. Always great to learn about animals and they have lots of trainer talks and informative placards for those wanting more than just a zoo type experience. Finished with the drive through and it was amazing. So many animals roaming free, many within feet of our van. Best part to my grandson was feeding the deer and the birds, lol. Definitely worth the time and the money if you want an up close experience with animals that roam free while you are contained in your vehicle, worth every penny.
