Very reasonable price and the beds seemed clean. However, the rest of the room seemed quite dirty. Very large brown stains on the shower floor, dirty flooring, very stained couch and chair. Beautiful view and nice big TV. Was fine for one night passing through, but would not have stayed a second night. They have clearly worked hard to renovate and make the rooms beautiful. But they need to go through the rooms with a finer eye to the details.

My husband and I booked a luxury room with a king bed and river view and it was lovely. The TV was really big, the view was beautiful, and the room felt updated and clean. While looking at our beautiful view in the morning, we got to see seals swimming! We didn’t even try it out, because we didn’t have swimsuits but they have a big pool and a sauna. We were just there a week ago, and have just booked another stay for my husband’s birthday for this weekend.

We called ahead and asked about pool and hot tub availability. We were told that we could use the facilities after hours since we were checking in so late. However, NOT TRUE.I'm at a loss of who or what to believe regarding our stay. Everything we were told upon check in was false. No use of hot tub, no quarters for laundry and then a plugged toilet all night long.Room had a nice view and we loved the balcony.Rooms: Nice size room. Beautiful view overlooking river.

The views from this place are beautiful! The rooms on the other hand could use some TLC. The floors were filthy, the bathrooms smelled like a urinal, there were no hooks anywhere to hang anything up to keep things off the floor like towles and jackets, and no where to stow away clothes. Wallpaper was also peeling off the walls. The smoke alarm fell when the door slammed and was so old and didn’t even work (which is a huge fire hazard). Lobby coffee was terrible and the lobby itself needs some TLC too. The pool area was filthy with garbage on the floor along with the pool bathrooms. Kids didn’t care tho, they enjoyed the pool and hot tub! The pool water looked a little green too, idk if that is normal. Staff was friendly tho and fixed the fire alarm when it was brought to their attention. The place is a little run down, but being the only place with a heated indoor pool in the area, this was our only option. The beds were also very hard. While it wasn’t the worst place in the world, it was also not the greatest. I also think the patios could provide a little more privacy too. It’s an old resort, that just needs some up keeping. For the price I was expecting a little more cleanliness. The town seems to keep things local, no quick options for food that we could find. I’m not sure if the restaurant across the street belongs to the resort, but it was good with decent prices.

I did not stay in the resort just ate lunch across the street. The service was amazing, the waiter we had went above and beyond for all of us. We made sure we all tipped him good. It still was not enough for his service. Ok I had the fish and chips. The fish was not that good because it had a real fishy flavor to it. I know it's fish but you all know the flavor I am talking about but this would not stop me from trying something else on the menu. It's an amazing place and would suggest it to anyone.

For those that don't know- This place has been completely remodeled over the last several years, and the rooms are great! The bed is very comfortable and the room had a lot of space. The balcony overlooks the bay and you can see/hear the breaker waves from the room. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were clean and well maintained. The staff was exceptional.. Shout out to Ariana! The parking was easy and close to the room. There's a boat ramp, summertime boat dock w/ overnight moorage, nice fish/crab cleaning area, and I even noticed a crab cooker for guest use. There is also well stocked 24hr store in the lobby for snack/drink needs. The restaurant across the street had really good food, and they had a well stocked bar.I guess my only complaint would be the 'Karen' that was staying next to or below us. I was quietly laying in bed watching Jurassic Park with my young son, and even at a low volume level 10, apparently that was too loud for this individual. Karen called and made a noise complaint on me, right at 10pm on the dot. I told the staff I was going to finish my movie at the same low volume level it was at, and if they called back, to let Karen know I said to "F**k off". They had no problem with my response after explaining myself. My goodness I hate people like this. If YOU are one of these Karens, do the rest of the world a favor and keep your entitled @$$ at home! This place is not for you. Go get the $450 per night house for yourself to shut the rest of the world out, like you need. Maybe the walls are too thin? Or maybe the TV shouldn't have speakers right up against the wall? Who knows? It really wasn't my problem.Either way, I loved the place and I will be staying here again, as will my family and friends when I recommend the place!

Update: Upped my rating from 4☆ to 5☆. We got caught by the arctic blast while vacationing on the coast and decided to wait it out at Jots. I don't give 5 stars often but when I do, they're earned. Every single member of the staff has been mind blowingly accommodating and personable. I have difficulty comprehending why they aren't ranked higher on Google. Yeah, it's an older establishment, but it's anything but rundown. The rooms are clean, updated and well appointed, the age of the resort adds to rather than detracts from the charm. Solid wood floors that I'm guessing (considering Jots was built in the 40's) are built from lumber that was grown in the region, sweeping views of the Rogue flowing into the Pacific no matter which window you choose to view from, and did i mention the amazing staff? Thank you guys so much for making our unexpected extended stay less like a hotel stay and more like a visit with friends.Sarah, thanks again for the recommendation on where to go for the best fish and chips. Also, Oakley is freaking adorable!Aerie, (no idea how to spell your name chick. Sorry) thanks so much for everything and good luck on your foraging outings.Michael, you sir, are a breath of fresh air. Totally enjoyed the nature convos and sending all the good juju your way. 😁We'll see you guys next Spring!(Previous review) -We stayed here 3 years ago while they were in the midst of their remodel and have had positive experiences both times. Its a low key place with friendly staff, clean rooms, and river front balcony rooms. If there was a laundry room at our end of the hotel, this would have been a 5 star review.

Service was friendly and smooth: We made a last minute booking online, checked in late-ish in the evening. They have a lot to offer here, and the price is right! We got their deluxe room and it was very nice, and newly reno’d, great view of the river, ocean and bridge. We took advantage of the sauna and hot tub, even did a cold plunge into the river for fun!

I made reservations after my surgery to go rest and relax there and I had severe medical complications and could not make the trip. We tried repeatedly contacting the resort. (Both expedia and I) to no avail. I callled and called and after finally answering the next day I tried to cancel the rest of the trip with pplenty of notice and the front desk said I needed to talk to a manager. Who in turn never called me back after repeated attempts. Horrible customer service. Expedia finally sent an email explaining the situation and the place refused to refund me even though I gave plenty of notice. Nor did management ever get ahold of me. Ii will never be spending my money there again.

My room had a lovely view and was clean. Huge TV, comfy bed. I was in and out very quickly but appreciated the staff (who were nice to me despite me coming in late) and thought the room was on-par for most Oregon coast rentals. Not like a fancy hotel by any means, but a sweet place to watch tv and fall asleep. Can’t beat the view! I loved watching people fishing in their boats in the morning, very relaxing. As a solo female, it felt very safe. Which is a big plus for me.

The rooms renewal/ renovation is beautiful, but the setting on the new lights is at a blue light, very uneasy on the eyes, and you have to wear slippers or shoes because it's old carpet that's sticky and stained with gross stuff. Wish it was vinyl plank that is sanitizable with a steam mop and that the new lights were set to warm light. On another note, the pool room could be amazing, but needs the black mold removed from the ceiling planks over the pool and maybe some more plants in there. Like this place still, perfect for the price. I will stay again.

This motel has been there since I can remember. It have very nice big rooms with a sliding glass patio to view the water. It has a heated pool sauna and spa. It's gets very busy all year round. Parking lot is big but can be challenging to find a spot. Some things at Joe's are showing age of things that should be upgraded. Like one of the ice machines was broken. The maintenance could be improved. The rooms and view is calming. Make reservations ahead not sure how lucky you could get a room as a walk in. Enjoy the coast. Enjoy your room

The staff was ok. The view was beautiful. The room left a lot to be desired. Especially for what they charge. The pictures on the website show enticing rooms that have obviously been updated. Modern and pretty. In person, the remodel must have been quite a while ago. Peeling wallpaper, horribly stained carpet, rusty fixtures, gunk in the rails of the shower, and mysterious stains on every chair, even the ones on the balcony. The gold chair had what looked like black hand prints and some white splashes and blobs all over the seat and carpet in front of it. The pillows, all of them, were lumpy and flat. One thin blanket and a very thin bedspread. The sheets were not clean and had what looked like sand in them. I slept on top with a blanket I had in my car! I will not be back unless the rooms truly get updated. It's a shame.

My family stayed one night while traveling through the area. The room was spacious with a large tv and balcony with a water view. There was a strange smell in the room, we’re not sure exactly what it was. Our room didn’t have air conditioning and the fan in the room was very dirty. Overall it was a fine place to stay for the night while passing through.

Very nice updated rooms right on the waterfront near the Gold Beach Bridge. Owner is very involved with customers and is nice as can be. Staff is friendly and fast. The prices are unbeatable. I believe I paid around 115$ for a King bedRooms have nice big flat screens, wifi, nice glass shower doors with great water pressure. Private back patios with sliding glass doors, AC and heat work well. Good choice of shampoos & conditioner etc. All the little things add up. You will have to provide your own coffee because the office doesn't usually have it.Across the street is a nice restaurant with a lounge side. The food has some unique options like wagu beef steak and burgers. Local fish for fish & chips. Great place about 1 block distance from hotel.Food & drinks: Food across the way is an excellent choice

Worst place ever. Stayed 2 nights. King rm. Carpets were filthy. My when walking barefoot the carpet felt sticky. Put on white socks. My mistake. Were not white for long. Stains all over the carpet through whole rm. Rm 359 was horrible!!! Mold in shower n hair. Blood Stains on mattress cover. Yes took pictures of everything. So diquesting. When reporting it all they said was I'm sorry but didn't wouldn't do anything. Calls to manager no response.Front desk was horrible. Night desk person on Friday night was higher than a kite. Will never stay there again n will pass the word to others n will send pictures to health department. Horrible place.

Jots Resort premium rooms have been updated. Having stayed in most of the hotels in the Gold Beach area, I would highly recommend Jots Resort! A new comfortable bed is a commodity in this area, add AC and all new paint, vinyl plank flooring, and bath accommodations an Jots is a winner. I stay there for the great Salmon fishing several times a year and this is the best around!Noteworthy details: A wonderful view of the Rogue River next to the picturesque Hwy 101 Bridge and 100' from your guides boats and the best Salmon fishing on the coast! This hotel is a gem!

I'm sure this place would be OK for some people but I wouldn't recommend it for someone that doesn't allow pets in their house and doesn't smoke. The carpets were stained, a strange smell kinda like smoke, and we immediately found a hair in the bed so we pulled back the bedding and found a hair that definitely looked like a pet hair 😝 so we put our sleeping bag on top of the bed 😜We thought the pool was too gross to swim in, that was disappointing... But the location was great for riding Jerry's Rogue jets and we enjoyed it anyway

Affordable, great location. Had an indoor pool and a hot tub. The lodging check-in area and pool area had a great rustic feel. Very cute for Christmas! The slower season kept things quiet. My room had a direct view of the Rogue River shooting into the Pacific with a little deck to hang out on. Newly polished room it seemed as well with comfy bed and huge TV. Plus coffee available in am! Stay here.

As I read through the reviews I saw either people were super happy with stay or super not. So I thought my review would help. First off we drove up and I was a little concerned because it was under some construction. The front staff was very helpful and nice. Next going into our room while the stairwell needed cleaned the hotel room itself was clean. Except the carpet was extremely stained. Vacuumed but stained. It had a huge TV! And the bed was very comfortable. So I would say you get what you pay for. It was very affordable. And pet friendly that was a bonus for us! So yes it does definitely need some more TLC. But we were not disappointed in our our stay. And the view was wonderful !
