My wife and I used to go there all the time. The very last time we went there, my wife bought a brand new swim suit. My wife was sitting around the pool and when she got up from her metal chair, there was a piece of jagged metal on the seat and it caught my wife's new suit and tore it. We went to management and asked them to buy her a new one. They basically told us to get lost! So.............we did! That was our last visit! It's no wonder they went out of business! Poor management!

So happy the hear that Kahneeta is opening up again. I was so sad to hear it close. It was my favorite place growing up. I had hope that it would come back, and sure enough it is!! I can’t wait to take my friends and family this summer. Excited for the amazing new memories that await! What a huge blessing.

We took advantage of the Spring Break /Jump into Summer promotion. Only booked 1 night/2 days, since it's only an hour away & had never been here. Some of the reviews weren't great, but figured 1 night would let us make our own opinion. We were absolutely thrilled with our stay! The accommodations were very comfortable and clean. The view from our room was incredible. Our first room's TV didn't have a signal, and right away the staff was on it, trying to fix it. It didn't take long for them to ask if they could move us to another room as opposed to wait for maintenance. This was no problem and we were still able to keep a top floor room only a few doors away. The staff even offered several times to move our things, which was kind but not necessary. The lodge offers many options for food, and activities for children. It's a large, but very peaceful setting.I loved the big open fireplace in the lobby area, and the soothing music that's played. It's in my opinion that a great establishment is only great by its employees who keep it that way. The staff at KahNeeTa were kind, patient, and went above and beyond helping to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Marissa, it started with your many answers to my phone calls, and then our check in. Thank you.I am completely impressed and satisfied with our stay at the lodge, and will plan to come again, but next time for more then 1 night!

Great food and front service. First time coming here, first stay with my family of 5. 3 children w/ 2 adults. No complaints, great views and food. The pool was very relaxing and the sauna, wow! Makes the stay even better. Gift shop had lots of great items and the kids loved the game room.Restaurant has great food, highly recommend the Bison burger! We stayed in a parlor suite which was very comfortable with plenty of room for the kids to run around and not be stricken with the “cabin fever” feeling. Looking up at the stars at night is another fantastic view as well! Can’t wait to come back on spring!

Second time staying at the resort, and for the most part it was fantastic. We really enjoyed the accommodations, the updated room, and the heated pool! The only downside was that the hot tub didn't seem to be working, as it was colder than the pool by far. I purchased a breakfast voucher with the room, and can honestly say it was the best hotel breakfast buffet I have ever eaten. Other guests were raving as well. Overall a great experience!

This place is HUGE! We came to Kah-Nee-Ta for the first time and absolutely had an epic day here. The staff, from the entry, bus driver, food service, slides attendants, to lifeguards were so kind, polite, and attentive!

Loved this place! I stayed down at the Village on a work trip, which was a nice location. The layout is clearly family-friendly, designed to be able to rent multiple adjoining rooms for a longer visit. My room was a Murphy bed, with a full kitchen, including oven and 3/4 fridge.Plus, having pool access included with the room was such an awesome perk. Even in 93° weather, the warm pool felt good, a perfect temp to finally make the day feel cool.Such a shame that it's closing, I'd highly recommend this for a family vacation.

The stay was fun. My kids enjoyed the pool and slides. But the service was not great. The people took long time too take orders and serve food. But the food tasted good. The thanksgiving buffet was delicious. The breakfast buffet was okay. They did not have any pancakes though. overall it was good as my kid's enjoyed it but service wise they need to improve.

The rooms definitely need to be updated. The TV is super small and no remote for the DVD player. Carpet was stained in multiple places and Housekeeping did not clean up back patio there were pistachio shells all over the ground. But the front desk service was very good and the grill had amazing service and good food and drinks. We came for an event and the catering was very good too. We will definitely be back hopefully this year.

I'm so disappointed. We spent over $200 on our room and felt like it was a run down motel. The night before when I booked our room the gentleman i talked to said if we get there before check-in time and your room is ready they can get you checked in, if the room isn't ready then they can issue a pool pass for something to do until 430(check in time). We arrived the next day around 1230 and our room was ready but she charged us a $15 fee to get our room early..... which I think that's ridiculous considering I've been at other 5 star resorts where if the room is ready they simply let you have it. When I called the front desk to explain my frustration she simply blamed the other employee for not explaining that 15$ fee to me.Our room was very outdated, bed was uncomfortable, TV was old with fuzzy picture and there were old light fixtures overhead on the top of our heads I felt needed to be screwed in tighter. The restaurant had good food.I'm shocked that their charging high prices for their rooms that are NOT worth it. Crazy! I will find another resort in the future.

The pool is great. Hot tub temperature. Slides for the kids. Everyone was nice. Must bring your own towels. Seems to be less lawn chairs available than the last time I went. It's pretty clean. Baby pool was under construction. The have a walk up Grill. Limited menu. No healthy options. Good deal for the day.

Rooms may be a little dated but it fits the rustic theme. Getting to the rooms was a bit of a trek but the view was amazing. The lobby had a huge fireplace and you could smell the roaring flame outside. The property looks well kept throughout and the pool is nicely heated. There's no place but the hotel restaurants for an hour. The Waterpark was fun and it was free with the stay. The staff were really polite and laid back.

All in all, it's pretty good. The decor needs an upgrade and the TV and cable didn't work very well. The linens are nice. The pool is great and having a shuttle to go down to the bigger pool is really convenient. Most of the staff are very nice, especially the shuttle driver!

The resort was really nice. All the pools and activities were great. The staff was so friendly all around. My only concern is that the rooms could have been cleaner. Our room had a few spider webs and there was a piece of garage (a dime) by the nightstand on the floor. Overall a great place to go for a weekend getaway. I felt rejuvenated!

I stayed with my significant other and my visiting mother, with our dog. Because of the dog, we had to stay at the "village". It was nice being close to some grassy areas and the pool. But there wasn't a microwave in our room, so no heating up leftovers from eating at the lodge and no warming up that cup of coffee you forgot you had. Also, our room wasn't in the greatest shape. There was paint and chunks missing off of the door to the bathroom. Nothing a little bit of putty and a dab of paint can't fix, pretty much a $10 job. The worst was our dirty shower. It was muddy all over the shower curtain and hair in the tub. There was also something wrong with the water. All three of us felt gross and dirty after taking a shower (and we brought our own body wash)....and we all got stomach aches almost immediately after brushing our teeth.Just as a tip, bring your own shampoo and conditioner because the ones they leave for you, don't do much of anything to clean or condition. All in all it really wasn't a bad place to stay....but at $200 a night ($150 plus taxes and fees), I might try looking around for another retreat/mini vacation getaway.

This place well always be a little bit of home to me...we have a long history. That being said, I all stretching to give 4 stars. It is a beautiful resort with some awesome amenities, but it's dated. Not in a quaint sort of way, but in a time for a major remodel kind of way. A new company recently took over operations; let's see where they go with it.The main attractions are the weather and the naturally heated huge outdoor pool. This awesome water feature is worth a visit any time of the year. In the middle of summer, it's a refreshing place to soak up some sun, hit one of the water slides, and enjoy a non temperature shock dip. The middle of winter is personally my favorite. It's like a huge bathtub with steam rolling of the clear water and peaceful serenity.Other activities include cultural events like a traditional salmon bake, horseback trail rides, stunning vistas from medium difficulty hikes, a rind of golf, or an evening of dancing in the lounge. Special events hosted throughout the year.Whether you're just trying to find some peace and quiet in front of one of the largest fire places in the middle of winter, or needing to bring your entire organization for a strategy session with some R&R, this is the place to be.Yes, I'm a bit biased here, but this truly is a gem inn the middle of the high desert!

I love this little resort. I have never been to a pool so comfortable and family friendly. I brought my nieces and sister who just moved here. We were sad to find out that it’s going to close. I feel so sad I did not go out there sooner. We will definitely be making another trip out there. The kids loved the slides and I was wonderful to play with the kids in the pool all day.

Every meal was prepared so well I would come back just for that. The village pool is easy on everyone in the family. In general, the service is lacking as the whole place has a when-we-get-around-to-it feel. The water has a very unpleasant flavor and odor. The facility design makes navigation long and difficult. Scheduling horseback riding takes patience and determination, stick with it and you'll eventually get it done. On the other hand the spa and kayaking are simple to set up.

The staff at the lodge were very nice, and helpful. It is absolutely beautiful. The pools are relaxing. But the staff at the Village pool was rude, and didn't seem to care. I was at the Village and the lady took more than 10 minutes to ring a costumer up from a few ice creams. The staff at the concessions were rude, and handed us our orders incorrectly. When we asked them to fix it, all they did was throw lettuce and onions on top of the mayo packets. Very sloppy and unimpressed. Everything seems quite expensive but there is nothing else closer for food or suppies. Other than that the stay was wonderful and all the pools have been great.

The place could use a lot of TLC. Looks pretty run down. The hotel pool was dry, and this was not mentioned on the website. The staff was friendly, but very slow. They did have free access to the swimming pool that was a half mile away, but that pool's slides were closed, and it was also in desperate need of paint and maintenance. The hot tubs were dirty. Back at the resort, dinner in the fancy restaurant was a mixed bag; again, the staff were friendly but have very slow service. Some of the food was odd. Salmon shouldn't be drizzled with maple syrup, for example. However, the fry bread and huckleberry jam is so good, it should be a controlled substance. Overall, this resort needs a lot of improvements, but if you aren't too picky, this is an okay place to stay.

This place use to be a very nice placd to visit. Its gone downhill. The pool had algae growing on the bottom, nasty slime was very slippery. There were weeds growing from the concrete around the pool as well. The salmon bake had no entertainment like they use to in the past. The main restaurant seemed to be closed the entire time we were there. The restaurant that use to be where the casino was is decent and has very nice wait staff. The whole place is suffering from lack of maintenance. Our bathroom door had to be forced open because it was hitting the tile floor (obvious water damage swelling). Everything was overgrown, 3/4 of the games in the arcade were broken without out of order signs. Its a skeleton of what it once was.The pool down at the campground was in good shape for the most part and the golf course was also decent. I'll keep my fond memories of the place and try to forget the last trip.

Our room was a King bed room 504 it was a total let down. Dirty, holes in the curtains like moth holes, flying bugs about 30 on the wall in the room. The balcony had great view but the paint looked like it have been peeling of the railing for the last five years, not much left just bare wood. The room was about 85 degrees when I asked about cooling the room I was told it was an old system and to just give it some time to cool down. Four hours later I when down and asked for a fan to just get some air circulating because it was still hot. They just laughed at me. I had reserved 5 nights but at that point I just told them I wanted to change my reservation and cancel the other 4 nights. It seemed odd to me that their old system could cool the lobby down to a point that it was down right chilly in fact the girls behind the counter had on jackets and it was 104 degrees outside. They charged me $300.00 for that one night of misery and no doubt we will never return there again. The place looked like the owners quit caring about the place a long time ago so sad......!

Great breakfast, but it felt like things were off in September. I understand that it's a slower time compared to the summer, but the service was at a minimum. I tried calling for a horseback riding session for two hours and no response. I eventually found someone and made an appointment, but when I arrived, no one was there. I waited fifteen minutes and nothing. Putt putt was fantastic times from when I was a kid coming out here. Pool and slides are amazing and fun to enjoy the late sunny weather at. I used a Groupon to check-in, but I think I may book in Madras to save the money next time. I hope others get a slightly better service when they book

Stopped there for some dinner while the Hwy was closed during a fire. Food was great. Atmosphere was nice. Wait times were long but gave us time to chat. The bartender seemed to be the main person directing the other workers. For the crowd there they were short staffed but did the best they could. They did amazing. Definitely recommend stopping by for a bite if your around.

The staff are nice but totally clueless!! We had a family reunion reservation at least 4 months in advance (with family coming from Colorado, California, Washington & Arizona). When we got to the resort they couldn't find our reservations. They assigned us to rooms and tepees that were ALREADY OCCUPIED BY OTHER GUESTS. How does that even happen? Their whole job is to assign rooms and they couldn't even do that. They kept charging us $50 here and there saying we would figure out total costs later. They admitted they were transitioning staff and computer systems when we made our reservation and that they messed it up, and yet they were unwilling to accommodate us. It was a nightmare!! They would tell us one price and then charge us a totally different price. One of my familyMembers stayed in a village room for three nights and she was charged for an RV site for one night! My brother asked the employees at the pool if the front desk is always so unorganized and he said, "Oh, yeah, always!" The rooms were FULL OF BUGS and the toilets were not in operating order. The rules here are also endless!! Don't even try to put a tent on their precious grass. Don't try to go for a walk, either, or they will drive by and tell you you're in a private area. You're not allowed to goIn the river either. The pool was fun, but certainly not worth the thousands of dollars we paid. The best part was the hiking, which you can do for free elsewhere. Save your time, money and sanity and don't even bother coming here. It's not all it's cracked up to be!

Restaurant was great. Very attentive staff and delicious food. Lodge rooms way overpriced for the condition they are in. I expected luxury linens and updated amenities. Only had a shower, no tub. Room was small, wallpaper peeling in bath. Paint chipped everywhere. Balcony was filthy. Chairs on it but so filthy that they weren't usable. I didn't even open the door.... Just looking out there was more than enough to deter me. Wouldn't stay there again.

Made our first trip to KNT last week, had such a great time, the RV park was quite spacious and if you picked the right spot, the trees offered a lot of shade. The pool was incredible, the kids couldn't have enough of it. We just wished we had came here sooner. Really hope they don't end up closing.

Sad to say this property has let itself go, certainly not worth the $165 we paid for our Village room. That included a $15 pet fee, where the room had obviously had pets left unattended.Outdated bedding and drapes, TV was old, not a flat screen, reception was terrible and no remote for the TV. Lights above 1 bed were broken, room was very dark. Bathroom had black mold around the tile top. Walls had nail holes and scratches. No microwave. That being said, it did not seem unclean, just a serious state of deferred maintenance. We took the kids to the pool, it was a cold January 1st night, they did not have pool towels available, requested the lodge bring some down and they did after the second call. Pool was tepid, not a hot spring temperature you would expect. Shower rooms had graffitti on the walls and lockers. We left at 6:30am to catch sunrise on the mountain, and the front desk let me view the lodge rooms. When I asked if the Lodge rooms were as bad, she looked hesitant to answer. It is obvious they know the quality they are putting out there. Upon viewing, the Lodge room were not nearly as run down as the Village, but could use some updating and fresh coat of paint, to cover old picture holes. It is really too bad that with such a great natural resource and beauty of the area, that they have let this property go. I could imagine it once again being a destination if they could invest in it.Bonus: getting up early we were treated to wild horses on the drive back to Mt. Hood.

Clean large pool, hot tub & gym. Friendly staff. Brought me a luggage cart when I checked in, everyone was very attentive and nice.Excellent view, peaceful, quiet, fresh air and lots of star watching from my porch, space station was very visible the first night. Love this place and the unique beautiful land that surrounds it, can’t wait to return
