Drive up. Called order in by phone while waiting in parking space. Service was fast and friendly. Fries were perfect (crispy and not over cooked). Cheeseburger was the old time style with the right amount of condiments. I was disappointed the soft chocolate ice cream was not available, I'm not a vanilla person. They take cc and cash.I rated atmosphere 4 stars because I never left my vehicle (older truck).I will be back.Thank you again!

My favorite place to get a burger, fries and shake after hiking in the Wallowa mountains! I usually order the jalapeno burger, curly fries, and peanut butter milkshake. Also, the owner of this establishment is very nice, clearly cares a lot about her customers and employees. Thank you!

This is the best place to stop on the way to/from Wallowa Lake. Been stopping by for years just to get the creamy soft serve ice cream. Can't beat it!Food is great too, burgers are tasty. I just wish they had better fries but everything else is great! Go with a bit of time on your hands because getting food varies every time

REDBULL MILKSHAKES. Seriously, it's a thing and they're amazing. The owner is also so sweet and friendly, she gave us tips on the best breakfast in town and what to see at Wallowa Lake. Definitely stop here when you're coming through, it's so worth it.

One stars: terrible service.We got there just before 6, when they close for the day. We then spent the next five minutes figuring out how to order (apparently you need to call, but that was poorly explained on their sign as it implied delivery only). Mind you, it still was not 6 o'clock yet.We walked up to the side window and saw a lady walk up inside- this looked promising at first, but then she simply fixed the sign from open to closed, right in our faces. There wasn't even a simple "Hey, sorry, we just closed!"This is a slap in the face, as this had been an ice cream shop that our family frequented for many years during the summer. It used to be a very friendly spot, but it seems that this is no longer the case.

We had an excellent meal here after a day on the water. We loved the jalapeño burgers and tater tots. It had been several years since we had been there and we were a tad confused why we needed to phone in our order as we were unable to read the menu from the parking lot. Once we realized that we needed to phone in things went smoothly. Our order was brought quickly to our car and was hot and delicious!

Love this little family owned joint. Was in Wallowa visiting my grandma and she suggested this drive in but made me promise to bring her back some potato smiles. I got a philly (my go to) and my hubby got a burger. Wow this place makes great food. The lady running the food out to everyone was so friendly and great to talk to. I loved the whole vibe. Small town with small town great people and food. Awesome!

A good nice little spot off the side of the road. Very good food and excellent service. Only small issue was you can't order in person, you need to call. Being from out of town (Canada) i needed a local to call my order in for me.

Was really disappointed because youhave to call to place an order. There is no walk-up, so you have no way of going inside. I don’t get good enough cell service in wallowa, so I wasn’t able to order anything. A real bummer. Also no restrooms.

The women who answered the phone hung up on us. We told her we were not from here and she said that’s fine but then tapped on the window to their sign and then turned their sign from open to close. Extremely rude when we came all this way to try the food based off reviews. Instead of just saying they are slammed and she doesn’t have help she is rude and not obviously hurting for now at when the sign she point Ed at was all about the hail storm they just went through and they are trying to raise money to help the devastation. Obviously they aren’t hurting that badly if they can be so rude to out of town folks who come through to help their cause. Wallowa used to be the place to come through and stop and chat with the locals but instead these people are too bitter to appreciate those that come to help them. You won’t be on our list to stop next time.

The service here is terrible. If you are unhappy about life don’t take it out on my family. Girl hung up on us after we were asking a question about our meal when we ordered…. like we were in the middle of asking and explaining something and she got upset blurted out some rude comments and hung up. I don’t care how “traditional” this place is for the county, we have got to stop supporting this service

In this weird time with a lot of restrictions and concerns, Little Bear still had great friendly service and we're extremely sanitary in the way they delivered food. The food was amazing and I look forward to going again. Their milkshakes are the best!

Went in for ice cream and got sundaes. Hot fudge for one and butterscotch for the other. Chopped nuts and whipped cream on top. Definitely tasty.. You order by phone and they bring out to.you. No window orders or inside dining. Pricy but worth a visit. A small sundae is biggetmthan you think.

Never been to a better drive-in! Stopped here with my son on our way home from hunting and ordered the Hawaiian burger, cub burger, and curly fries. It was the best deive-in burger I have ever had! The middle aged woman working has a joy filled smiling personality and made us feel welcome and was helpful. The service was friendly and made to order as fast as expected. The bun of the burger was was made rhe burger extra great. It was not only an above average bread bun, but they toasted the inside when made the burger extra tasty! My son and I held our hunger for our 7 hour drive the next month when we returned on our drive back to go hunting again. We were so lookkng forward to eating here again. We stopped a third time before returning home that week. Same 2 woman working each time. Same fast friendly service. Same excellent juicy burgers! They have a very good selection and their prices are reasonable. I was so impressed by this place the idea crossed my mind(short term thought)that it would be really cool to have such a great drive-in back in my area. I love food and cooking and these ladies know how to impress and please! We will be back every time we come to or go through Wallowa. No more grabbing food in LaGrande or earlier in our drive.

Where told there is a 10% surcharge. The owner / cook came out and yelled at us "can you go anywhere elts where they haven't raised the prices, I haven't raised our prices even though my costs have almost doubled" we where completely shocked. I simply said " I am not arguing with you at all, I just was asking about the discrepancy" she took our money & just dumped our change in our car & stormed off. We where actually charged almost 21% surcharge. If she was upset by customers doing basic math & having to repeatedly explain the extra cost wouldn't it just make sense to just change the menu prices to reflect the increase & simply explain the unfortunate rising costs? This place has been a tradition for our long time Wallowa county family to bring friends and family, we are talking prob 40 years. Not any more guess it's time to start an new tradition. Truly saddened and upset, never been treated so rudely.

I know they get kudos for their milkshakes, which are excellent. I had butter pecan, my husband had chocolate peanut butter. I ordered a cheeseburger and it was honestly the best I have ever had. It was so dang good, I just couldn't believe it. No preformed dense meat here. This was a real patty, tender and delish. I believe the meat is locally sourced. The onion rings were good but a bit greasy for my taste. The five stars are for the burgers and shakes. Dont just drive by, stop and treat yourself!

We come to Tamkaliks Powwow every year and stop by before driving home. One year ago we came after they were already closed but the cook took our order. This year she remembered us as the family who came from Spokane. The food is great, the service is amazing. Looking forward to seeing them every year ☺️☺️☺️

Great customer service and relatively quick food preparation. We got there about 10 minutes before they were scheduled to close and I got there right as about 4 more cars pulled up, and they didn’t close on any of us. They served us all good meals, at pretty low prices.
