I recently visited Mt. View Market and was pleasantly surprised by the changes under new management! The store now offers a wide range of products, making it a convenient one-stop-shop for all your needs.I was looking for a few ingredients for a stir-fry recipe, and to my surprise, they had everything I needed! The selection was impressive, ranging from essentials like ketchup and soy sauce to items like salsa and cold sandwiches. The owners are incredibly welcoming and helpful, and their store is well-organized, making my shopping experience pleasant and hassle-free. I highly recommend visiting!

I’m sorry to say I’m happy there are new owners. It always felt very very uncomfortable to go in there. I would only go when absolutely desperate. The daughter was very unfriendly and rude the mother also. The mom started being very sweet but they’re gone now. It is so much of a happier place with the new owners.

The new owners have really improved this store. Staff is nice, and the shelves are stocked too. Much improved over previous owners.

Horrible! My total was 20.51 for about 9 items. It was my first time in that store. I only stopped to grab some snacks and drinks for the drive to Eugene. The cashier asked if I wanted a receipt and I said no because I didn’t as using my EBT card and I can see transactions on my app. She charged me $40.51!!! I’m very upset about this because yes it’s the end of the month and she literally took from my kids and I! I will be returning there tomorrow and with police! That is beyond theft!

Only convenience store in that part of town I can pull a garbage truck into so it’s a plus and also kind of captive audience. I appreciate that about the store.

Don't waste your time. No selection whatsoever. There's a plaid pantry about a mile away. Go there.

This is a family business and I really like them and feel prices are fair. But be sure to check expiration dates. I bought some cottage cheese on Christmas because I saw they were open. So when I got to work I opened it and it tasted funny. Looked at date and it was expired. I didn’t know the regular grocery store was going to be open or I would have just gone there. Waste of money and disappointing. But my only negative experience. Otherwise support local a hard working local business. I’m sure had they known they wouldn’t have let it stay out but maybe need to be checking those perishable products more often. Just won’t buy anything like that from there again and stick to drinks and lottery tickets.

My husband and I live just down the road from this store. We remember it being a physical therapy office. We shopped there when Bob and Mimi bought the place and turned it into a convenience store. We have shopped there (or I should say I have shopped there) until today. The new owners (who took over after Bob and Mimi- who were the kindest people) are not people I want to give my money to any longer. The daughter owns the business and her elderly mother works for her. They ran my husband away months ago when they would over charge him for items he bought frequently. He caught on and asked about the price discrepencies. They took immediate defense to his inquiry and made him feel like he was in the wrong. He refuses to shop there but because it is so close to our home I do still stop in frequently for convenience items. Until today. With the pandemic that is currently taking place, I found myself needing to pick up a few items and did not want to patronize a bigger grocery store chain. I came in and worked quickly grabbing the few essentials I needed. I was told by the daughter who owns the store that I "needed to calm down" and that I was "acting crazy". I told her that I really did not want to be shopping and that I was trying to be quick. I also told her that my precautions were not directed toward her personally but that I was in a public place and wanted to be cautious about that in this uncertain time. I also brought up the fact that my husband has been ripped off many times and that I am the only one in my family who still shops there, to which she said nothing. I told her to ring up my items and that she was out of line talking to a LOYAL customer like that. A customer who stops in multiple times per week and spends a fair amount of money there. Even though she recognized me me she didn't back down and was extrememly rude to me. As I left, I assured her that this was the last time she would be seeing me and that I would not be back. I'm tired of the awkward stares like they think everyone is shoplifting, the price discrepencies, ripping people off and treating customers like they are doing US a favor while we shop there and spend money. I won't be back. Do yourself a favor and go elsewehere. Anywhere else than this establishment to buy your convenience items. In my opinion they dont deserve your money. There was more to my experience but I feel I have typed enough to get my point across. They lost a good customer today. I wish that weren't the case.

Nice and convenient location with multiple access points off Stark and Troutdale Highway. Think they close at 8pm. Nice lady always greets with a thoughtful Hi hello! I think she owns the place because she is the only one I ever see. Anyway great friendly neighborhood convenience store. Lotto, beer, snacks etc.

This market I was hoping for years would be a community market. I have lived in Troutdale most of my life. I remember when Tony came in and brought Dairy Queen which was one of the first fast food restaurants in Troutdale. As kids we loved going there, for whatever reason they actually treated us as young adults and respected us in return we did the same DQ was are place to be kids but treated as adults. We grew older and Skyland pub was the newest thing in town once again it was community, it was family, in the day it's what made again Troutdale feel small the owners where happy to see you, for a lack of originality it was a place where everyone knew your name, good or bad. Although we were only across stark st from are big brother Gresham we were a very tight community. The new buisness's start rolling in and we started settling. The buisness I take issue with is the Mtn View market in the same parking lot as Skyland just north a few car lengths. From what I gather it's a mother , daughter ran buisness which I say " hell yeah family first" Every time I have gone in there ,the greetings are sweet, but over time there are very scripted. It started after months of going in there the price of my soda would differ 5 cents 10 cents 20 cents, it was all I over the board. I finally asked for an itemized receipt and you would have thought I asked for nuclear missiles. The woman behind the counter I am guessing in her 60s raised her voice at me looked at as if " how dare I ask that question" started mubbling under her breath in what I believe was Korean but I have no evidence to back that up.Ok, so she was having a bad day. I get it we all do. However between herself and her daughter and the constant inconsistencies on pricing and never getting a straight answer as I was inconveniencing them to ask for an itemized receipt and scowls. Luckily it a free country and I will try to put my money into small buisness elsewhere in the great little city " Gateway To The Gorge" TROUTDALE, ORTo sum it up these woman are rude, they appear to care, but go outside there comfort zone and they will all the sudden for whatever reason feel inclined to talk to you like your a child. Everything is overpriced, and when you get to the counter hopefully that is actually the price far more often than not the price is different. I really hope ownership of the market changes. I know my opinion doesn't matter, but that's my opinion, and I stick by it.

I used to love this place until my ex husband and I split up. He would go in there and bad mouth me to the owners so every time I went in I was suddenly being treated very poorly and then they would go on to tell my ex every detail of my visits there. They recently shared personal details of my boyfriends ID with him. You can't trust these people.

If I could I’d give it a 0 star. Owners are very judgmental from the minute you walk in they stare at you up and down , watch the cameras and when your ready to check out they stare at your pockets it’s just so uncomfortable! I really hate this place I only go for emergency’s. Also the stuff here is wayyyyy over priced a gallon of milk is $5! I don’t recommend stopping here. It’s not worth it, just drive up the street to Albertsons it’s what I do.

Horrible customer service the point of a family owned business is good warm service but here you get absolutely none of this they are very rude people who have no idea what customer loyalty means .I live about two blocks from this store and am not in great health but I would rather walk up the hill then shop at this store please join me and shop else where.

This is a convenience store so of course it's a tiny bit more expensive BUT growing up in Troutdale I love how a family runs the business. Never have a problem here, quality joint!

Prices are pretty good before they tack on 50 cents to use a debit card. I'm not returning until they drop that charge.
