I love JC Thriftway Toledo! The staff is friendly and helpful. For a small town grocery store, they have very good selection. They might be a little bit more expensive than Walmart on certain things, but the shopping experience is so, so much better. I even love the music they play in the store.

Great alternative to heading to Newport to get groceries, especially if youre only short an item or two.Deli has solid breakfast(biscuits and gravy), great jojos and fried chicken, as well as an assortment of other hot items depending on the day, great when you don't feel like cooking that meal!

This store is one of the worst I've ever been to. Prices are absolutely unacceptable and the staff are very rude. Specifically the employee named Michel Brown (Mike on his nametag). I have heard multiple bad things about this guy. He's kicked people with service dogs out of the store among other things. Ontop of that the store looks very rundown, old, and not taken care of very well. Just take the 10min drive to Newport from Toledo. It's worth it over going here.

Mikes attitude is absolutely terrible.Paris who works the register is rude, and always looks at me like I’m a degenerate even tho she hasn’t ever had a different job and still lives and works in a po-dunk town. I tried to buy a soda with some quarters and was told “don’t even come to my register I’m not counting your change” like it was so much change. But HELLOO THAT’S YOUR JOB. Price gouges customers because they know they’re the only grocery spot in town. This store has gone way down hill. Yikes.At this point, I’ll skip the entire thing and drive 30+ minutes to Newport and back.

The place has a reasonable selection of groceries, however when compared to even local convenience store prices, it is hands down the most expensive place to shop. When Food Fair beats your prices, you then have to admit that you're wilfully price gouging your customers. Almost never enough people working a register either.

Loved this store from the first time my son brought me here. I found some great deals on products I use daily. It has the best friend chicken fresh made in the deli and you just have to keep coming back for more.

One of fav spots out here, where the atmosphere is caring, wholesome, true and filled with servitude! People loving others within our small community is amazing. It takes a village, and the way the staff takes care of us (the customers), is awesome! We definitely have all that is needed, and if not they will work to get it for you! Truly amazing ❤️

Best grocery store in town. They have a good senior discount day on Tuesday. Great deli section and even custom cakes for special occasions. Not to mention the donuts and other pastries. At the right time of year, they have parking lot sales of canned goods, vegetables and fruits.

Tuesday new sales start plus 20% senior discount. Then Wed, 8 piece baked or fried chicken for $6.99! Best day of the week because I don't have to cook! Can get all your side dishes right there in deli.

Staying in Newport for a get away we went in to the market. In the bakery I asked if the cinnamon rolls were baked fresh, being a retired baker I just love fresh baked goods, the young man guaranteed me that not only the cinnamon rolls but everything in the case was baked fresh everyday. I bought two and took it to our room. later I opened the container and my fresh baked cinnamon roll was hard, my husband suggested I microwave it but it didn't help, it was at least 3 days old and thats a generous estimate. So I took them back to the store and asked to speak to the manager, I did check the bakery display where it looked unchanged from the previous day. The manager was unapologetic and I'm doing this review in retaliation don't eat from the bakery its yucky

Beware of the meat section! We went to buy two packs of chicken thighs and when we got them up to the register, the smell coming from the package smelled so badly of rotting meat. Upon closer inspection, all the chicken was old and rotting.

Well it's a much-needed and very busy local grocery store. That said, JC has fairly bad prices on several things compared to driving eight or nine miles into Newport and their produce section is not generally very fresh. they do have a surprisingly good selection of items on the shelves. So if you can afford the extra money paying sometimes twice as much here as you would at Fred Meyers in Newport, it's a convenient little local shop that will probably have what you need.

Ya prices are high but you have to expect that in a small town. They do have a great selection of products for as small of a store that they are. I can usually find what I need without having to go to Newport. And employee are super nice.

JC Market is just I Market. But they went out of their way to help a friend of mine who was homeless at the time. I called in a food order on several occasions and they helped so that order. Mr. Bob and Tracy where are fantastic.

Not a bad little market. Prices are more expensive than what you'd find in Newport or a bigger city, but deli and bakery are decent. Also has a dvd rental place.

Pleasant small town market, a staple in the Toledo community, with deli and public restrooms. A common stop for visitors in and out of the town for loading up on road trip goodies. Make sure to stop by at their Deli!

The bathroom is so hard to find. The bathroom door dose not lock on the outside I had someone walk in on me this is so unbelievable the sink is so Disgusting!
