Stopped in here in a Monday morning, not too crowded. Server and Cook were both friendly and got the goods out in, short order ;-)Had the Denver Omelet, came with perfect hash browns and some toast. Coffee was very good too. Rode up there on motorcycle and it was in the 40's. They are a site for the 2024 Rose City Motorcycle Grand Tour.

This cafe is top notch. My wife and I enjoyed our breakfast dishes immensely and the lunch offerings were superb. The pulled pork sandwich was perfect, not too salty and not over-sauced, just the right flavor with a heap of coleslaw and a drizzle of bbq. My wife loved her prime rib dip. The mochas we ordered "half sweet" were spot on and a delicious way to start the day. The huckleberry ice cream is a must try.

This little cafe had such an excellent breakfast! The omelettes are super hearty, perfectly cooked with light and fluffy eggs. Hashbrowns were cooked to perfection, crisped up nicely but not burnt, also not mushy. Fantastic way to start the day and polite, friendly staff!Parking: Plant of parking outside building

Place was empty on Sunday, 26th May. Ordered the tri-tip sandwich. It arrived cold, little sauce, no cole slaw as advertised. This was not the servers' fault, but the fault of the kitchen. She asked why no slaw, and they said they ran out. Poor communication from kitchen to server. I asked for an adjustment on the price of the sandwiches. Which the server reimbursed us. Also, to have the food reheated with sauce. The kitchen staff did this. Just a note, double check everything.

After two nights in 11 deg weather spent in my car, near Sumpter (in a good down sleeping bag), I was ready for a good cup of coffee. I found it, and some nice pastries, right here at the cafe.Nice atmosphere, great coffee and food.I'll definitely be back.

So sad I always recommend your cafe because of good food, reasonable prices and friendly staff.But not today, food was good but staff was embarrassingly NOT...No greeting and wasn't sure he even wanted to take my order.....Prices just didn't seem normal either in comparison to previous week.

No breakfast burritos after 11 is new even though its on their "brunch" menu and the rest of the items at lunch are overpriced for what you get. Sucks to drive 7 hours and be told breakfast was over 10 minutes ago when we just spent XXXX money next door... guess its my fault the dispensary took 20 minutes.Quality has also dropped over the last year and the baked goods I've bought the last 3 times have been dry and bland. Food greatly varies based on what employee is working. If you have time for the scenic drive to baker city there are better quality and priced food options. The dispensary next door is great though I've been going here for years.

When I was in Sumpter one year ago, I went there to have breakfast, and lunch. The breakfasts were amazing 😋: above all I loved the cozy atmosphere, that has the wooden tables, and best of all they have a slideshow on a screen which shows pictures of the historic buildings in Sumpter, and the surrounding countryside around Sumpter.
