As you may know, there are not many rest areas along this stretch of the highway. This is a quiet, quaint rest stop with restrooms. There are also drinking faucets, but they are shut off during the winter months. This is a nice place to get out and stretch your legs and Fido will also enjoy his venturing around. Plenty of shade and some grass areas to have a little picnic.

As far as Rest Areas go, this is as good as it gets. Parking right next to the bathrooms, so you don't have to walk a long way to get to the toilet. Parking in the sun. Or parking under the canopy of the mature shade trees. And a nice, ample turn-a-round for anyone towing a trailer or 5th wheel.

Stopped to rest a bit on a long drive home, also to turn the car off after very high heat and constant running of the A/C.This is a nice, cozy rest area, a bit smaller than average, but there's also a small gas station/store across the (2 lane country) highway where you can pick up cold drinks and food. The building for the bathrooms is older and could stand some updating, but it's functional for what it is.The wayside is very well tended, the grass is neatly mowed and they have an auto sprinkler system, which was especially nice because it was running while I was there, so I could dip my hands and feet in briefly, which also helped to cool off.Along with the informational kiosk, there were also a couple of picnic tables if needed.

Bathrooms could have been maintained better, but they weren't horrible. A great little picnic area with tons of large trees. Right next to a counter store, and tons of shade. A great view of the nearby mountains, at Wal as the lake bed. Worth a stop because there's not much after this for a long while.

I am at the rest area right this minute, using my phone as a hotspot and solid 4G connection to access the internet. This rest stop is very nice. It is small, so I wouldn't expect big rigs to park here for the night. It is perfect for my RV though. A store is right across the street. Grounds are very well kept.

Bring lots of bug spray, off deep woods doesn't protect you against the tiny mosquitos though, I got eaten alive within 2 minutes, around my eye is still healing.
