This store never has shelves stocked and rarely have popular sale items. When it’s been brought to the childlike director, he became unprofessional and rude and 3 months later things are the same if not worse. I’m going to stop shopping there and drive the 14 miles to winco or Walmart for groceries immediately. They need to have an actual adult in charge of that store because you just lost a customer of many years. Hire managers with proper experience before this store gets shut down.

Super clean. Well stocked store.Found not enough handicapped parking, unused curbside delivery parking area??Prices are out of control. Have to belong to club for better prices. Every sale is buy 2 get 3free. (I only need one of something for dinner and don't live here). "Very unhappy older checker", told real old customer in front of us that he needs to download digital coupons on his phone to get sale price. He says "don't have my phone with me " she helps him out with sarcasm.(our turn) checker yells at my wife you need to put digital coupons on your phone for discount! " we don't live here, shop at this Safeway once a year for Christmas at our son's house " yelling at us again you need to clip coupons then.She then mumbling and inputting coupons.Safeway, what are you doing here?Overwhelmed employees, bloated prices, not enough handicapped parking spots.I don't believe you are serving your community well!!

The manager of this Safeway is the reason I no longer shop at Safeway stores anymore. A boss should lead as an example and help his crew. After tonight's action on his part I realize I don't think that will change.

Safeway pharmacy is wonderful. With two great pharmacists and a very helpful staff. I find it to be the best pharmacy in town.

Watched 3 employees try to fix an overcharge at self checkout. I waited with my hand up for assistance for over 5 minutes then watched all three just walk away. I hate this store (and the horse it rode in on) ☹️

The pharmacy staff is rude, slow and need s class in public relations. My wife was treated poorly when they shut down for lunch. Not a fan of the stayton store and will never shop there

Refused to take cans inside store.been here several times and they say the bottle drop is broken .yet they shut them down an hour early.also employees sit out here and text on their phones instead of fixing the problem they just put signs on the machines.then refuse to count them in the store.very annoying.

Safeway is my favorite local grocery store. The selection and prices are good, and the staff are very friendly people.When other stores are stupidly eliminating bags, Safeway still has respect for their customers and provides bags.The produce is decent, the meat selection is good, the bakery has many choices, and the deli offers a variety of prepared foods.I've saved my family thousands by shopping Safeway, and it's always good products.

It's always Freezing inside the store. But it normally has everything I need. The only problem is everything there is more expensive than my normal shopping places. The Pharmacy is almost always busy & they take way too long to fill your prescriptions. If you plan to use their pharmacy I would suggest getting them in like 3 days before you need your meds. If you can't get them in early I recommend using a different pharmacy.

***Update added 7/31/23Went to deli for grilled chicken. When I saw they were out, I asked the employee behind the counter, and they needed to ask the deli manager. The manager snapped viciously back at the employee that they were already told they were out of grilled chicken. 100% not an appropriate way to speak to staff. It's not necessary or helpful. What a terrible environment to work in.Service is not great, crowded, long wait in line, and their Starbucks is the absolute worst. Gave them several trys, and my drink was wrong every time.Also, the store is cramming too much product in the walkway between aisles and checkout. Struggled to get our cart around folks waiting in lines.

The Only reason why they got 1 star is because you have to in order to write a review....otherwise I would be giving -5... Rude as you can be I have never felt more unwelcome in a store or anywhere being a paying customer they were open the whole time lying about the time... I work in customer service if I were that rude to paying customers I think I should be fired... you hate your job so much then quit!!! When I was driving out of there it was 11:02 so your open until 11 you can't handle it then close EARLIER!!!!!

I shop at Safeway because the food items are of good quality. I like that they take all major credit cards. The associates are willing to help you find something. The prices are a little higher but that reflects the the higher quality.

Parking lot is packes from 3 pm til about 630pm. So if you want an in and out experience of avoid those times, as there's not enough staff to acomidate the influx of customers at check out and everything gets backes up down the aisles .

The prices, like everywhere are astronomical, but it's not worth even stopping here anymore. Better off spending the extra few gallons in gas to go to Salem. Their stock on items as of late is terrible as well.

Completely disappointed in Brenda who was in bakery today, who refused to write my little girls name on the cake I purchased for her 4th birthday! A simple task that she was clearly too lazy to do because there was plenty of room to write a 4 letter name on there! Thanks for nothing Brenda!!

Pharmacy not lined up today. Which is uncommon, but their phones and computer systems are down, so they can't accept or fill new prescriptions. They have been having a lot of closures due to staff shortages.

I try to shop here for my lunches today 8-2-22 I go in on my lunch and was surprised to see the sandwich bar open so I got myself a all meat sandwich. But no turkey? No honey mustard? I have to ask for a substitute for the turkey wasn’t offered any and didn’t even get one. You are a grocery store you have a meat counter that cut meats? Honey mustard of the shelf? There where 4 people in the deli with 2 customers… do better

Everything went smoothly. I used their DriveUp & Go™ service because a recent injury makes it difficult to walk. They let me know what time my order would be ready, gathered the items I requested, and loaded them in once I let them know I was there. They had all the things I ordered and packed them with care. I liked the convenience and may still use the service after my injuries heal.

The hot delie is always closed before its listed hours, despite needing quality help they are only willing to start experienced employee's at less than mc Donald's pays.Offered an interview, it consisted of a 5 min conversation with a woman at the cutesy counter telling me if they want to hire me I would get an offer by email, after asking what the starting wage was I told them I wasn't interested in making less than a 16 year old kid working fast food.

I shop here all of the time because it's the only semi-affordable place in town to buy groceries. My only dislikes about this place are the lack of fresh fruits/veggies and I can't find many items due to being out of stock.I shop here about 3-4 days a week and I can never find everything on my shopping list because the shelves aren't stocked enough.They have frequent sales/discounts and friendly staff.The woman with short brown hair who oversees the self checkout is extremely helpful and goes the extra mile. I don't know her name but she's on the clock most days.

Staffing? No one seemed to know or care that there was no working in the bakery dept. Wanted a cake out of the display case but couldn't find an employee willing to help or even call for assistance. Had to go another store in town that was more than happy to sell me a cake.

Hands down the friendliest and most helpful grocery store staff. I’ve shopped at a lot of Safeway’s in Oregon and California and this one is ALWAYS SUPER CLEAN. and ALWAYS HAS FRESH PRODUCE the deli folks are also on point and the items are fresh and not semi-gross like other deli shops. They don’t leave food on the shelf close to the expiration date like every other store (Roth’s Trader Joe’s Grocery Outlet) We shop here A LOT like twice a week and have had lots of opportunities to interact with staff and it has consistently been positive and they have gone out of their way to help us find what we need.
