This is the saddest story I have ever heard. We had known the Ashburnhams for nine seasons of the town of Naukeim with an extreme intimacy - or, rather with an acquaintanceship as loose and easy and yet as close as a good glove's with your hand. - "The Good Soldier" by Ford Maddox Ford. So begins our union with this store on the outskirts of society. A pleasant store filled with the charms 11 year olds find so present and needful. A patient, kind young man was waiting in the wings for us to make up our minds in the busy aisles of commerce. I thank you, sir, for your dutiful patience and glad hearted ways. Be seeing you again sometime soon.

I was very distracted on this day. In my own thoughts. I have never been to this store or town. But a huge shout out needs to be said to the young cashier man with tatoos who's positive vibes shined bright. I forgot my wallet and went to my car and a another person paid for my snacks by the time I returned. I saw this man in the parking lot and gave him a big hug. We do not have a lot of really greatstories out there. So walterville your people rock!

Too many great items! Such cute kitschy finds. I love just strolling leisurely through the aisles & taking my time to see everything. They just have SO much to offer at such a great value. If home decoration isn't your thing, they have PLENTY of nicely priced everyday essentials like, food, beverages, rugs, towels, serveware, cleaning products, small appliances, pet items & beauty needs. Right now they have a bunch of clearance stuff & a good supply of gardening things. Its just fabulous. Lol, yes the candy bar wrapper is flat, because I ate the candy bar before I got home. It's a new candy bar on the market & it was scrumptious!

Worst retail experience of my life. I am a pretty considerate person, but was treated terribly. Went on on a Sunday afternoon to purchase a card and gift card. The store was not busy initially. There was an employee at the end of her shift in the checkout line in front of me who was returning some motor oil. That cash register was the only one open, and the transaction was taking a while. A few people were building up in line. The cash register next to it opened, and the person behind me in line was quickly waved ahead of me so I decided to wait it out. Finally, the line I was in opened after about 10 minutes of waiting. There was something wrong with the card reader and it froze. I was told my only option would be to cancel my transaction unless I had cash (which I didn’t). Meanwhile, the line in the register next to me was long. I would have had to get to the back of that line. My husband and 1 year old had been waiting in the car for over 20 minutes at this point. There were no apologies or offers to try to enter my card manually or find a work around. When I made my frustration clear, the female employee who had been in front of me in line (and taken 15 minutes for her transaction) scoffed/laughed at me loudly. Will never shop here again.

The Dollar GeneralIs nice.They have a clean store stocked well with supplies.The staff is friendly and very attentive.The isles are wide and the parking is easy to access. Most things are one dollar. They also have more expensive products at a lower price. $3 to $20.I bought water balloons , a Kite,stickers, gel pens activity books for a ten year old girl to do during this pandemic. They even have jump ropes.Lots of stuff for children and crafts too.I will be a repeat customer.The lines were minimal. *****

Convenient to shop at, not busy, low prices; just check your receipt before you leave. Several times there was items on my receipt that I didn't buy, I do plan on reporting this to the oregon trade commission . The first time I noticed I immediately went back and the manager who checked me put said " I thought I might of rung you up wrong" $19 dollars worth, and it's happened several times since than.

Dude working seemed confused about an item we asked about, and had a nasty attitude and even blocked part of the isle with a cart. There's another dollar gen closer to town like 5ish min away try that one.

The guy working the counter with a long beard in his mid 30 or so is is far from a gentleman that's for sure. I am 35 year old female and am alone, my car stars to over heat so I pulled over at dollar general. As I am sitting in parking lot letting my car cool down the front clerk comes out to smoke. I walked over asking if there was a water spigot or something I could use because my vehicle was overheating. He was not just unhelpful but completely rude when he replied no to having any water source I could use to fill up a water jug. He then threw his cigarette down and stomped inside leaving me sitting in the parking lot.

My experience at Dollar General varies. Sometimes its great & all my digital coupons work & all the prices they have posted on their products come up the same at the register. Sometimes it really sucks & my digital coupons don't work & the prices come up different at the register.PS Heads up, the store on HWY 99 in Eugene does NOT enforce wearing masks even though it's supposed to be mandatory.

SOME prices are pretty good & definitely cheaper with fair quality.But MOST items Price's are OUTRAGEOUS like ½ gallon of chocolate milk for almost $5!!.... & It Seems like that at least some of the things that are over priced are random, there items that you wouldn't expect to be so much cuz There items that you'd ( & most people would) THINK would & should be cheap like the rest of the store cuz there stuff that everyone uses &or needs the most...

The prices are comparable to Walmart and in some cases less and the people are alot more outgoing and friendly . I love shopping here 😍
