Nice little ace hardware store & high school pharmacy. Prices can be a little steep but it's nice to support a small business in town so when we do need something little they have what we need and not have to drive all the way to Salem. Lots of people working there to help answer questions or show you where things are

I know that they shut down for lunch at 12:30 everyday, but on a sat i got there at 12:20 and they were already closed. If you are going to post hours, STICK TO THEM! Now i have to waste an hour of my time waiting for them to reopen.

Rude and unhelpful clerk snapped at me,raised her voice and was obvious about it in front of customers after I didn't move out of the way quick enough for her? I was helping my 80 year old mother who had just purchased $200 worth of merchandise. Made me feel so uncomfortable I will probably never shop there again. The restroom is a horrible mess, smells very bad and is not clean or stocked every time I've been in t today all disappointing experience today all around. Must work on training employees in empathy and customer service. I felt like I was a second class citizen the way I was treated.

I like the connection to Ace Hardware next door! Great prices and a variety of items!

Very helpful employees but some products don't have price tags on them so it's confusing and hard to budget yourself without prices of objects. Ace is always nice to visit after the missus is done shopping at the pharmacy end.

Great hometown local business, very helpful and friendly staff. If you're into any sort of craft, they've got you covered. Also connected to Ace Hardware.

Nice, big store with some of everything! ACE Hardware attached with a full-inventory of items you know you can find at any ACE. It's the Place!

They are very on top of things, and Debbie was a delight the other day. She made me feel at home in my town and that was the best feeling in the world.

Salespeople at Ace are always super friendly. Other than the fact that I have to pay them, it's like borrowing tools from a friend.

I like the combination of a true value hardware and pharmacy in the same location. Pharmacy provide good service and completion time for prescription drugs.

Very nice staff, they have a huge verity of things, and periodically give out gifts for Holliday's. I definitely recommend them for plants in the summer/spring area as well, because they're very cheap.

Great place to run to for parts, materials, or a tool but it's a little pricey. Great staff, and well organized. The Ace brand of tools isn't the highest quality, so just be cautious about what tool your buying. They also have a rental department which is nice if you need some heavy duty tools!

Huge, varied inventory. Knowledgeable, helpful, plentiful employees. A real saving grace in my small town as it has much useful stuff in a place with few options. I really feel they make efforts to support me as much as I support them.

Maybe everyone was having a bad day or something. I had to wait for 15 mins to get checked out with one person infront of me. And the manager treated not only me but the person infront of me very rude like for no particular reason. I will never shop there again. I will drive all the way to home depot even for a simple nut or bolt I could easy acquire there for same price if not cheaper.

Yes normally the store is fine. However based on my last visit I'm not sure I am even able to return. The employees are all fine except for one. Traci, we had walked into the store and she was watching us as if we were some suspicious aliens, I honestly don't see how she could've saw any of us as suspicious. Anyways, I was looking at an item ( I have a weird tic where my whole body will jump and shake whenever I'm nervous) so as I got up I jumped a bit obviously not meaning to, and the item was still in my hand so it bounced a bit on the floor. She then yelled at me for "damaging the item" (the item had no signs of damage not even a slight indent or crack) and told me to leave after I had tried countless times to apologize and explain the situation. But even after that she still told me "absolutely not, that is not okay, get out, LEAVE!" Even if I have damaged the item accidentally, I would have paid for it so she was being outsandingly unreasonable. I hadn't offended her in any way, this is very serious. You need to fix this and do something about it, even I, a loyal customer, do not want toreturn if she will act like that again. Because with employees like that you guys could get in some serious trouble messing with the wrong person. I feel that Traci owes me an apology but I doubt she would apologize to an "alien"

I was trying to print some photos for framing. I uploaded and purchased from home, and soon after got a text that said “Your order is now ready for pickup.” When I arrived the instructions didn’t match my on screen options at the kiosk and none of the employees knew how to help. Eventually they got someone who did, though she struggled for a while as well. I was then told nothing is actually printed until you arrive and it takes 15+ minutes to print an order (of about 20 photos of two different sizes).I didn’t have time to wait, so I had to return the next day. When I did, there was a long line at the registers and nobody to help at the photo station. The nearest cashier told me I needed to wait. Her register began having trouble and despite her just standing there waiting for assistance to arrive (only a few steps from the photos), she never offered to get my photos. I pointed out that my photos should be all printed and ready to go, and asked her if she might grab them while waiting. She kind of sighed and 🙄, but did oblige.Unfortunately the photos were terrible quality, looking almost fake, like the people in them had been photoshopped into the background. As a result, I had to return a third time. This time the cashier called a manger, who was very nice. I showed her the photos and she said high quality photos often look that way because the machine over sharpens them. I mentioned that some were shot with a professional camera, but others were only from decent phones. She told me they print “for the masses,” then recommended PhotoVision in Salem for higher quality prints, which I ended up using with much better results. While the low quality photos were annoying, it was the poor service that made the experience worth mentioning here. My first job was at an Ace Hardware in a small town, and even way back then (early ‘90s) we all understood that exceptional service had to be our priority since we couldn’t compete with the big box stores on price. Most of my experiences at HSP (and in the adjoining hardware store) have left me feeling rather underwhelmed. Customers are too frequently treated like an annoyance, and very rarely am I offered assistance without having to ask. I want to shop local, but as a retail manager myself, I don’t enjoy supporting poor service. One thing is for sure, whether my photos are being framed or going on the fridge, I’ll be using PhotoVision from now on. They are quick, reasonably priced, very easy to work with, and much much higher quality. I suggest you do the same.

While checking out the customer in front of me in line had a dog. The dog was sticking it’s nose in all the candy that was knee level and lower and actually grabbed a piece and started chewing on it. I brought it to the customer’s attention so Kelly the Store clerk picked up the half chewed candy and threw it away. She did not wash or sanitize her hands afterwards.I will never buy any food item from that store, very unsanitary.

I usually enjoy Ace Hardware and tend to shop at an Ace wherever I live. Unfortunately the Silverton Ace is by far the least friendly of any Ace I've ever been to. I've been to this one numerous times and most visits are either neutral or negative, only rarely positive. They're not very helpful, even when asked, and make little effort to make my visit pleasant. To say the least I'm very disappointed with Silverton Ace Hardware. Guess I'll be looking elsewhere for my hardware needs.

Ace Hardware is excellent, with well trained staff, who can solve problems, and give advice about products. High School Pharmacy on the other hand, although owned by the same person, is apparently managed differently. When I went there last Tuesday, to find some cellophane, one of the Ace Hardware employees contacted the neighboring High School Pharmacy, and asked where it was, near the wrapping paper apparently. I went to the high school side of the store, and ask for assistance. The blond boy at the cash register listen to my request, and didn't know the answer, so he called for assistance on the store loudspeaker. I then sat and talked, for several minutes with my companion, while I waited for customer service to answer my question. Eventually, I asked if the young man had an answer to my question, and he said no, no one had responded to his request for help. So I proceeded to wander around the store, for approximately 15 minutes looking for cellophane wrapping paper. While I was wandering the store I was loudly asking for assistance, and there were approximately 6 people working near the front of the store, including the manager. All of them heard my requests for help, and my eventual criticisms. All of the people in front of the store looked like they were busy, but really they were wasting time. I watched each of them, one of them was hiding behind the counter, bent down on one knee doing nothing. Another was looking busy around the Photography Center, again doing nothing. Two or three were over speaking to an older woman, who I assumed to be the manager, and it was confirmed by one of the store staff, when I asked for assistance. Again, I stood there waiting, and no one came to help me. I finally bought two balloons, and figured I could stretch those over the items I wanted to use the wrapping paper for. What a pain that was, but it did work. If High School Pharmacy was managed as well as Ace Hardware I would have no complaint. But I believe on the whole, this was the worst customer service I have ever received, in my life.

My primary care doctor sent my prescriptions here this morning I went to pick it up and you guys told me you did not have it. People's lives are in your hands and disregard for human life is disgusting. This is your job. It saddens me that in such a beautiful small town we have nowhere to rely on for our prescription medication. You can do so much better. I didn't get a phone call, I didn't get an email, I didn't get a text nothing. When it came time to figure out where I could get my prescription you guys told me that was up to me to figure out. All I can think of is shame on you and how dare you do that to your community. We trust you with such vital scenarios, and you fail so many. I run a small business and never would I treat anybody with this much disregard and disrespect.

For a small town hardware store this place has everything. All your typical hardware store stuff as well as some camping supplies, RV supplies, some kitchen items and other things that are needed in a small town like this with no other major stores. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
