I like these stores. Lots of different things to find. Surprising for small stores. Been thinking of trying their makeup line. Heard some positive reviews. Will think about that when we're past wearing masks. Till then no makeup for me

Nice store...kind of narrow aisles though. They have all sorts of stuff...shoes, clothes ( not a huge selection). It is kind of like the dollar store, but more a mish-mash of items. It is like they got stuff at bargain prices or items that were discontinued and they are selling it for cheap. Also, a lot of the stuff costs more than a dollar.

This store is a great option for people looking for a deal. Good selection of items and seasonal aisle is stocked for last minute gifts. The staff has always been kind and welcoming to me.

Not so special,coupons are usually one day, some prices decent others like convenience size foods more than big stores. Freindly staff, slow checkouts do too new systems maybey. Some good deals.

My first experience shopping in a Dollar General store. Store was near and clean. Staff were friendly. Pricing very confusing to me. Not really a dollar store, more a several dollar store. Prices seemed equivalent to a Walmart store - but with a very limited selection of products. Can't imagine I'll become a regular shopper.

Went to the Silverton location this morning and walked up to the door and the auto doors didnt open. Looked at the time and it was 8:45am so the store was supposed to be opened. Called the store and no one answered. Stayed a little while and still nothing. Called the other store in Gervais and the number keeps being busy. Called the Hubbard store and I got a district managers phone number to call and check why the store wasnt opened. He said that this store had a different district manager and he called them to see what was going on with the store. I was just going in there to get cold medicine for my daughter and to find out that there not open doesn't make us happy. I told 6 people that came after me that no one was there to open the store as well as the red bull rep and a coke delivery truck. Not happy with this at all. I did see all the lights on so if someone is in their that nothing bad happened.

Thanks to Scott shelling for taking care of an issue with the silverton TX store. I am very satisfied with the outcome. The staff needs help customer service wise. Kudos to Scott once again

Never heard of this franchise before. Then a bunch popped up in a few towns, including the small town of Silverton.The store is nice and clean, which would be expected from a brand new building. Organized, well stocked, even over stocked at times.The general in the name "Dollar General" does in fact mean something here. It is literally a general store with a wife variety of things from clothes to dairy products. Almost a one stop shop kind of place.Price points are on the higher side compared to say Fred Meyer, Safeway or Walmart. I wouldn't recommend coming here to shop for the weeks groceries. Hence the drop in drop in rating.The location is what is most convenient for me and probably a good number of Silverton residents. Why drive 20+ minutes to Walmart or Fred Meyers for 1or 2 thing when Dollar General most likely has it. PLUS they stay open later than 6. Silverton goes to sleep early... So having this opened late at night is refreshing.Staff there are really nice and helpful as well. We typically have a fun short conversation with the cashier. We've had the same cashier each time and I forget his name. Either way, he would be working the evening shift. It makes our visit a lot more enjoyable and leaves a great impression for the store. Employees can make or break a business, and I get the impression that he is making it. Job well done.Anyways, enough praise on the staff :)In summary, we will be coming here often. Even if the price is slightly higher, it's offset by the great staff, awesome location, longer hours and excellent convenience.

Comparable to other stores for products, but smaller and easier to get in and out. I love it for laundry and cleaning supplies, quick bread and milk etc.

It was filthy dirty, unorganized,stuff strong out on the floor in the the aisles making it unsafe for customers to walk safely. There was only one cashier checking in the store at the time of my visit.

I went there for the clearance sale today, (5/3). Manager was every nice and help me find items. Dollar general my favorite store to shop. 😀

This store does not ask customers to follow governors orders of mask wearing. They willfully endanger their employees and customers by refusing to follow health standards.Don't spend your money here.
