Oops. I reviewed Paws for Elegance on this store's site. My bad. So here is this store's much deserved review.Met the owner, Jen, recently. She's a neat lady and clearly cares about the community and how her business can be part of it. She and her daughter both spent as much time as I needed going over options for converting my dog to a raw diet, how to actually do the transition without shocking her gut, etc. I never felt rushed and left with a plan on how to do it. She even gave me a bag of freeze dried raw food to use for treats to help my dog get the most out of this food change. Neat place, recently expanded for the new raw food area - looks great! Lots of options, know their products and if they don't have something you want (rare), let them know and if they can get it, they'll order it for you! Go on in and wander around!

Store is local family owned, carries a good variety of healthier products, and has 2 wonderful shop cats that are fun to interact with while shopping around. Employees are always polite and helpful. They do a lot of promotions to help local rescues, etc. Good direction of frozen raw food.

My groomer said I should stop by and check the store out. I am glad I did. What a great place. Friendly staff and my dogs loved the treats. I would highly recommend this store and I will definitely be back.

Natures Pet in Sherwood is a great place to shop for your 4-legged family members! The staff are friendly and helpful and the store interior is superbly designed with my comfort and aesthetic in mind. If you love your pet like I love mine, give this place a try. I’m sure glad I did!!

The staff were very friendly and helped me find and try new foods, both dry and fresh, for my dog. I was amazed at the ample free test foods they offered me, as it was extremely generous of the store. I was glad one of the samples was small, as my dog turned up her nose at it and I don’t want to waste it! But I have others to try and am hoping to find one of them will be liked so I can keep getting it here! Such a huge variety of products, it was fun to look around.

Stopped in for the first time and so glad I did! This place has so many things you never knew you needed (or wanted). There's lots of toys, treats, food, etc. and nice ingredient list on all the treats. The people were so very nice and friendly. No doubt I'll be back.

Recently moved to newberg and I work in Tigard, I was always used to the Canby location but the other day I noticed the Sherwood one so I decided to check it out on such a beautiful Saturday and was pleasantly impressed with not only the size of this location, but the three ladies working were were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the things I was looking for to spoil my German Shepherd Hazel with. I should have brought her in, and they told me I need to next time because they’ll spoil her too. You don’t get customer service like that harpy anywhere anymore. Definitely will be spending more money and time there. Keep up the good work and thanks again! See y’all soon

I have found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They don't always have the cat food I buy, but are quick to offer to call me when their next order comes in. If it's not on order they will add it to the next order they place and the wait is only about a week. I always make sure to buy a new bag before my current bag is finished. They have lots of variety for a small store.

I just can't say enough about how much I love this store! EVERY time we go in we feel valued and appreciated. And the staff is incredibly knowledgeable about food and diet issues, and keeping my senior dog's joints strong and healthy. And my cat gets GREAT food there at a reasonable cost. We've asked so many questions over the years, and I think that's one of the things I love the most: knowledge and assistance by the staff to help keep my furry family members healthy and happy!!! Overall, the store is very nice. Clean and I really appreciated the customer service. I went looking for some things for my bunny and they had some treats and toys but I would really appreciate if the selection for rabbits was bigger. Maybe more Oxbow brand items? Rabbits are often overlooked but they deserve love from stores like this. It would really add more variety to the store.

I recently stopped into Nature’s pet to grab an antler bone for my dog. Both the employees were friendly and knowledgeable about the products they carry. Great selection of tasty treats for dogs. Some a little more expensive, but worth it for better ingredients.

While we love Nature's Pet in general, just wanted to give some extra love to the Sherwood location and staff for taking the time to help me find the best good chewies for our furry fam. I didn't get her name (my bad!), but the employee was so patient and informative while she answered my many questions and made recommendations while explaining why the various options fit the needs/requirements for my dog. She was also friendly and accommodating with the puppy I had with me (socialization outing and errand in one!), especially when I told her of his dietary restrictions (she got something else to give him as a treat!). Thanks, Sherwood location! You guys are always super helpful, and I appreciate it!

The proprietress and her daughter are lovely people. They have extensive pet food / supply knowledge and keep their eye-popping shop just that and filled to the brim with only high quality and often hard to find products. They even have hand crafted toys. Add two chill resident cats into the mix and it’s no wonder I could easily spend an afternoon there. Go to this shop and delight in its atmosphere and reliably excellent service from local, independentpurr-veyors of everything your dog or cat needs...

I have been a customer here for a few years and have always had friendly service. The selection of food, treats and toys is good. Yesterday my husband purchased our usual bag of raw food for the pups and upon opening it we realized that it was rotten by the rancid scent. I called to ask if I could exchange the bag explaining the rancid scent and was told that whom I was talking to was a new employee and she told me she was not trained yet on handling returns and said to call back tomorrow. Not a problem so I waited and called back but was told that they could not do any refund or exchange due to covid and that I would need to call the manufacturer instead. However, I still needed a bag of raw food for my pups and if I was to purchase another bag from Nature's and it too was rotten, then I would be stuck with two bags of rotten food that are not returnable or even exchangeable. So I called Mud Bay instead and asked them their policy on returning food and they told me that all of their products including food are fully refundable. Needles to say, I bought the raw food from Mud Bay instead. I can't afford to chance getting stuck with another bag of inedible food for the pups. I think Nature's is a great little store but I don't understand the no refund policy. If it was only due to covid I could understand a little more but from reading others reviews, several other people have also been denied refund or exchanges over the years so it doesn't appear to be a new policy. I want to know that my pups will be taken care of so I prefer where I shop to be able to exchange a faulty bag of food.

I'm so glad I stopped in to check out the store! There was a wonderful selection of quality cat foods I could buy in individual cans rather than a whole case when I buy from Chewy. The prices are great. I'd rather support the local guys than a big national company. You will be my new source! Pam M.

I have been to three other Natures Pets around the Portland area but this was the most appealing! The people that worked there were knowledgeable and friendly. I loved how they had a “cat room” for all the cat supplies and food! They offered a wide variety of toys and leashes as well as specialty products. I also loved the big cat that was a resident there!!!! I will definitely make this NP my regular stop for all my pet supplies!

They were tremendously helpful!!!!!! My dog has horrible pancreatitis. They were very knowledgeable and made some great recommendations!!! My family will definitely be returning for our pets needs. It’s worth the 45 minute drive which says a lot.

The owner was so helpful. I was a owner of end stage feline chronic kidney disease fur baby. I was already giving IV fluids and syringe feeding my guy. I was trying to figure out how I could temp my kitty back to health. He recommended raw goats milk and a great little stew that he loved! He also recommended homeopathic medication for him. That helped with nausea. I will always be customer from now on.

The staff working this afternoon was fantastic. I went in just to get my usual dog food but had a question about possibly changing foods due to some digestive issues with our puppy. The staff working was extremely knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. It’s things like this that make me come back again and again. Jenny and Matt have a great crew!

The gentleman who helped us was very knowledgeable. Our cat has been eating very little & losing weight. He sent us home with multiple samples & directions of what to try & different ways to entice the cat to eat. Happy to say it's working & the cat is eating and putting weight back on. They also have two awesome cats there in the store. We'll be back for sure!

I shop here for all my dog my dog's needs. The staff is fantastic and as helpful as is humanly possible. They are great for checking and making sure all the products they carry are good for pets and won't carry something if they hear or know it to be bad. I know the last review said that they had the one negative experience, but I have yet to have one and truthfully...I wouldn't let one bad experience take this place out of the running. Especially because they are the type of people that do everything they can for their customers (within reason).

It was a complete joy shopping there. 2 gals that helped me I think one was Grayson and 1 was Stacy , I can't quite remember but but they were fabulous. I went to the one in Sherwood off of highway 99 and I hope to get back there quickly because they're going to help me with my Bassett hounds lack of interest in food

Good selection of premium pet products, they carry most of the shampoos and other products for our dogs. Unfortunately they don’t carry the large size of my pet food which is most economical , Taste of the Wild small bites so I have had to purchase elsewhere. Nice people and very helpful.
