It's very nice to have a 24hr fuel station for all these idiots that want to gripe about the price of fuel out in the middle of nowhere. Instead of gripping, perhaps you should be thankful. If that fuel station wasn't there, what would you have done??

The owner was extremely nice, invited me in for coffee and a sit with the fire to warm up as my truck fueled. We had a nice chat, it's good to see business there. Also, gas station goats! I had not seen those since South America. Yes fuel is expensive, but it has to be shipped in from over 100miles away. And the only fuel station 50 miles any direction. I'll stop by and top off anytime I'm in the area.

My husband and I were on a road trip and had a screw in the tire that was leaking retry fast. We came into this town and stopped here at the gas station. The owner pulled up and said he was closed. After we told him the problem he offered to let us use the air compressor so we could fix the tire with fix it flat. We were having difficulties as the fix it flat can had a defect. The tire was now down to 10 PSI and the owner was being rude and telling us that we'd have to move our car because he was losing customers. There was no way we could move it with our car loaded down and a flat tire. Besides, he had said he was closed anyways and now he's telling us to move our car. Luckily my disband got it fixed and we were on our way.m but whatever happened "to people helping people" so if you're ever driving this route, I'd suggest to keep on driving through this town. There's not much to see and the town has a weird eerie feeling about it and people are not friendly at least not to outsiders.

Open 24/7; self-serve fuel, both gas and diesel; an oasis! The rest rooms are down the street and around the corner, also always open. When other towns in Eastern Oregon are dying away this one is rejuvenating thanks to people like Mark and Pam who run this station.

It was Memorial Day, so I understand why it was self-serve, but they had no signs for how much a gallon was and ended up paying $41 to fill up. Did the math, and it was $4.85 a gallon for unleaded. Only stopped there because I was almost empty.

I was on a long ride and heading home. I had run through hundreds of miles of death, fires, and 115F degree weather for hours. I had to stop for water and fuel in the middle of no where. I was pleasantly surprised to find this small fuel stop out in the middle of no mans land. I was met with a nice woman who offered free water which was needed and much appreciated. I felt like I may have been dreaming as she spoke of her traveling blue grass band. I was high as balls to pay as much as I had for dead dinosaurs but the atmosphere and generosity made up for it. The water probably saved my life that day. I'd return the favor if I could.

I stopped here yesterday on a motorcycle ride to top off. The gentleman working offered me octane booster since they sold 87 octane. Such a kind gesture and it was much appreciated. Thank you!

Expect to pay $6-$7 PER gallon. Someone ahead of us paid $35 for 4.5 gallons. Judging by owner's response, they are the type to tell you $19.95 isn't $20. Since they are that type, let me leave a REAL review. Gas up in Biggs. "$5.99" a gallon wont get you far. It's HWY Robbery, no joke. EVERYWHERE else in town is cheaper, including the Tillamook ice cream shop and general store on the opposite side of town. EVERYTHING else, aside from this gas station, has reasonable prices or is donation only. Oh! And expect a deletion of any and all bad reviews to save face.

Very nice man who let us have some of the water for my dogs. Self serve gas pumps are fully operational, bathrooms were open when we stopped by (public bathrooms available half a minutes drive away). Very nice little outpost, exactly what you need if in a bind for gas.

When almost out of fuel on 4 motorcycles in the middle of nowhere, finding this fuel station was akin to finding an oasis.We rolled in around 930pm, destitute of petrol and not only WAS there gas, the excellent owner hung out and regailed us with stories of the town, surrounding areas and such.A++, would almost run out of gas again.Did you know Shaniko used to be the wool capital of the world?

I have no idea why there are any 5 star reviews. This gas station is a total rip-off! $4.85 a gallon!! Insane!! The owners should be ashamed of taking advantage of people as they do. If you're on empty, buy a couple gallons, then fill up at the next station. No bathrooms either!!

Pretty expensive ($6 per gallon) but thankful that they have 24/7 debit and credit card service. We were almost out of gas and had to detour here.

Highway robbery. That's really the only term for it. The average gas price for the entire state of Oregon is 2.56 right now and I just paid 4.85 at the Shaniko gas station. These people take advantage of desperate travelers by charging ridiculously unreasonable prices on gas that you're forced to buy unless you want to run empty. It's not right at all. If I could pick a town to burn down it would probably be this one.

Be sure you fill up with gas befor leaving eastern Oregon areas! I made this mistake and noticed I was on empty on reaching Shanico. The pump is self service (which is odd) but being it getting pretty dark outside and I knew I couldn't make it to Madras for fuel. When pump stopped I saw it read $75.00 !!! GAS WAS PRICED AT $4.85 A Gallon HO LEE CHIT !!

7pm on Wednesday, not a holiday ! And yet the sign says open, but this place is Closed!!!! The sign says be bat at 10.. so I guess it's not open 24 hrs.. very upset!
