I really like this place.The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable.It feels better to purchase local than online and there is no price difference. Plus, I can ask questions to a human who knows what they're talking about! :)

This is what I wish we had more of in pet stores. I got a baby guinea pig here less than a week ago and I'm super happy to have her. these people care properly for their guinea pigs and asked us questions to assure we knew how to care for them too. she's settling in great!

I'm just going to say they have some of the cutest bunnies I've ever seen and a few other things. They have had a neat selection of carnivorous plants (maybe still do). Plus it's really easy to find right off 101. They've got a pretty good selection of pet items to. I've never seen an unhealthy animal here (lived in the area for 23 years now). They do have parrots that do mimic and talk. However, do not let little kids stick their fingers in the cages. The parrots aren't mean but they are birds so baby fingers look like little delicious grubs for sharp beaks.

Staff were friendly and eager to help. They seem to have to have more stuff than they have space for, which isn't a bad thing for us (maybe for them lol). They have the biggest and best selection of small pet supplies on the N. Coast. I'll be back for hamster food and LIVE meal worms in the future.

This business needs to reinvest in itself and clean up. The interior was not clean and the owners had their dogs behind a baby gate barking inside. The plants outside were unkept and the exterior was not clean, organized and had trash and debris. The entire place was just trashy and not well kept. Service for the pet questions was great, but not enough to overcome the lack of upkeep. This is not the coast of the 80's step it up Seaside businesses.

Not a whole lot there but I was very happy to purchase dog poop bags and the dispenser for a mere$2 dollars and 49 cents. You really can't go wrong there. So if you are in the area and need pop bags stop in and check them out.

Great shop for plants and gardening supplies. They even have birds and small pets. This is a long established business that is well stocked and even has some pretty unique items. They have some great sales on plants. So great, that my wife needs to be on house arrest during the time. If you are into large birds, stop by and say hello.

Don’t recommend buying any of their plants or supplies for that. As a horticulture student it’s honestly impressive how okay they are with selling diseased plants. Anything you purchase here will bring pests, bacteria, and viruses to an already sensitive ecosystem on the coast.

So.....went here looking for an indoor plant I can't find anywhere, thinking maybe they might have it, they didn't and that's ok because they have a FANTASTIC pet supply section with a wide array of choices. Chose a venison treat that our guy is absolutely crazy about.Lyles will be our go to when we are in the area, you should give them a try.

Definitely not a big box store, but they have just about anything you might want for your garden or your pets. Was looking for some potting soil for succulents, and struck out at the new Ace Garden Center but these guys had it at a phenomenally low price. They're locally-owned, they give you great service and so far I have found their pricing to be competitive.

I had looked all over Astoria, warrenton and seaside feed stores, pet stores and normal stores along the coast Looking for a certain brand of oil for my dogs coat. Lyle's Seaside Garden had exactly what I needed. The employees are very welcoming and so knowledgeable on the stuff they sell.

The lady I talked to was very knowledgeable about the ingredients that are in the dry dog foods they sell, which was nice! She was able to help me find a product that did not have chicken in it, which is hard to find. Even if the manufacturers don’t include chicken as a protein source, they stick it in as a fat source. My dog is highly allergic to any form of chicken, so finding a reasonably priced food without chicken is very frustrating.

This place is great! My pet has food allergies and I have tried a variety of grocery store brands without success. I was traveling to the beach and stopped in because I had forgotten my dog food. I was impressedwith their selection. Wendy the owner helped me and recommended an independent brand of QUALITY food that my dog not only loves, but it solved his skin condition. They have pets and exotic birds for sale as well.Lots to chose from. Well worth the trip :)Diane

I'm sure the store has decent items for sale but what I can't overlook is the flat out neglect they show to their "not for sale" parrots.The cages were filthy and filled with a high fat, seed only mix. The birds themselves were either overweight or completely broken of spirit.A giant rusty bell sitting in the cage of an Alexandrian Parakeet with a genetic defect shows they couldn't care less about their birds.I advise someone local call animal control because birds need more than seeds and water for a quality life.I will never return to this business unless they shape up and respect the lives of the parrots and other birds they house.Update, In kind response to the reply I received: The amount of uneaten seed and nut build up on the bottom of the Ringneck cage that faces North from your main floor display is all the evidence I need to make the claims of a poor diet, a lack of cleaning, and a lack of proper care. The rusty bell in the Alexandrian's cage is a death sentence and should be removed.If I were to call directly, would you be open to some support on proper diet and toys? If so, I would love to offer my time. I have plenty of resources to help you provide a better quality of life for your parrots.To the point of "out of cage time", I never mentioned anything about how much time they spend out of their cages. Only that their cages are dangerous and dirty. They're not suitable for any duration of stay as they were this weekend.I also requested a local to handle any reporting. If my comment causes you to correct the mistakes and others comment later saying you've cleaned up the concerns, then I'll be happy to delete this comment and adjust the review accordingly. Since I'm not local, I cannot bear witness to your actions moving forward.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I love that they sell high quality cat food and organic catnip.They are also a great source of indoor and outdoor plants and all types of planters and plant foods.Shop local. It is worth it.

Wonderful selection, and fair prices! They had many pet items that Petco doesn't even carry. The staff are friendly and very helpful.I can't give a five-star rating based on the care of the small animals in the store, mainly the rabbits and hamsters. Around a dozen baby Netherland Dwarf rabbits in one small cage, which wouldn't be even that bad, had they all had something to lay on besides the wire bars of the floor. There were a couple small pieces of cardboard laid down to make them more comfortable, but not all the babies would fit. Seriously cute babies, I might add.The hamsters look big and healthy, and they're only $8.99, a bargain compared to Petco, but only have mesh wheels for running...mesh wheels are dangerous, and can cause injuries and infections. I would love to see these little guys have better wheels, and maybe a little more room...but I get it, it's a pet store, and there's really not enough room to give each animal an appropriate amount of space, and hopefully they aren't there very long, and they are essentially 'merchandise'...but it also would be nice to make their short little lives as pleasant as we can.Not to end this on a bad note...very well stocked store, great plant selection, tons of merchandise. Oh, and adorable bunnies.

I bought my wife a rabbit here last christmas. Amazing animal. Its family owned and well mannered. Good for pet feed. Gardening and other things. They pretty knowledgeable and if they dont know they admit it and help you figure it put.

I love this pet store. The employees are friendly and helpful. The animals are beautiful and in great shape. They have a ton of stuff you could need or want and their garden area is gorgeous. My favorite place to buy a pet in Clatsop or Tillamook counties!

Best pet supply in clatsop county. Fairly prices items for most part. Animals are always kept up clean and fed well. My son loves picking out his gold fish here. Had recently adopted 3 turtles and thanks to thier knowlage and exspiriance they are doing amazing.Great small family business, they even do knife sharpening services.Good selection of plants during hight of planting season. These people basically enjoy providing good service the best they can. And it shows.

There are cobwebs in their stock, a little cold for the animals I think, the fish I think are neglected, and there is a parrot pulling it's feathers out. They have a good amount of stock but I'm afraid they may not be getting enough foot traffic.
