We do our best to shop local and have been customers of this store for over 10 years. Under the new ownership/name the last few years we find, consistently, that the owners and their family seem to find it impossible to say 'hello', or 'how are you?', or the most common response 'THANK YOU,' ... anything even remotely cordial. They say NOTHING. Literally nothing. Who does this? We will stick with the Lacomb store where we are appreciated and greeted (with a SMILE!)

When taking care of customers in the store,a couple of the cashiers are constantly talking/listening to someone on thier phones with thier earbud in and try to get you out of there asap so they can get back to the conversation. Its incredibly rude and uncalled for when helping a customer. Please have some respect.

It's a normal grocery store. Selection is pretty good. Prices a little high but not outrageous. Customer service is good.

I have to say there’s some of the cashiers they’re rude and sometimes when they put the stuff in the bag they throw them inside to the bags and that’s not good and sometimes they’ve been charge me double and I told them and sometimes they didn’t ask if we want the receipt

This was my first time being in this store. It is a great small town feel. It could use some updates but it has the old time feel. Prices are not to bad. The cashier seemed to be having an off day. She wasn't rude but she wasn't overly friendly. Most small town stores the employees are super friendly. But overall it was a great visit. I will go back if I am in Scio again.

Edit 2023: You can read my prior 2 star review below, but today as I was leaving there it occurred to me that I should renew this. Under the ownership things have considerably improved since I wrote the previous review. It still isn't perfect but eh, what place is? I'd say the biggest gripe now is that the deli food can be kind of bad if you don't get there at the right time (I write this as I eat cold jojo's lol) and occasionally there might be some longer wait times for checkout.Overall, it's fine. Nice little selection of beer and liquor, too.*Previous review below.... No longer applicable*-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------It's hit and miss, but mostly miss. If you don't pay very close attention, you'll have something worth bringing up nearly every transaction.Watch for rotten produce, expired product, and overcharging at the register compared to the sticker price you saw (this is the most common).Also, check the freezer items closely. Waaaay too many times have I bought something only to take it home and find its been thawed and refrozen, possibly many times over as it sat in there and it makes it pretty gross.I've had to toss lots of newly purchased merchandise straight into the trash after I get home because to me it's not worth the headache of taking it back and dealing with it for a few bucks, or hold up the entire line because they mislabeled their prices. Need to start holding them accountable! Very unprofessional!

HOLY DONUT! It’s hard to begin to tell you how AMAZING this little gem of a market is, I happened across them in Albany Happenings and decided to order some “donuts” for a bestie special occasion. Little did I know how amazing the donuts would be...How incredibly decedent they would be... How beautiful they would be... How clever the designs or donut options would be... and How incredible the customer service I would receive from Lyndsey the pastry chef herself.My son picked them up and she had carefully selected an amazing variety. Lyndsey beemed with pride showing my son the choices she had made, carefully packaging them and reminding him kindly to please grieve carefully so they would be perfect for my occasion. My son said the market was so unique and we plan to go back early next week just to have lunch and check out everything else, likely having another donut if they are available.People if you want a great donut, an amazing product and original design you definitely need to check this place out. I’ve been to a lot of donut places and this is by far THE BEST and worth the drive from Portland, Salem, Albany, Eugene or farther to get one of these special creations!

My friend and I drove out from albany to get some delicious donuts and by time we got there they had pretty much sold out, definitely out of anything I had wanted. The lady baking was the nicest lady ever! She was getting ready to clean up to go home! She asked what I wanted and said give me 15 minutes and it will be right out! My friend and I will totally be back! Her customer service and her work attitude was great!! Only thing I could recommend is a tip jar close to her, so by the deli? Thank you so very much! Sorry I only got a picture of 2 of them! But there fresh!

Great little small town store with a decent selection, also has a liquor store attached inside the store. Great hours. Open till 10 p.m. daily. Friendly staff, great deli with the normal items in a a small deli. Only complaint I have is the bottle return machine is constantly broke and they won't hand count you returns.

I love shopping local when I can but this place has honestly gotten very bad, especially their hot Deli. I usually visit at 3-5pm every day to get a bite to eat and for over a month solid the Deli food has been old tasting, Luke warm at best and NOT MARKED DOWN! To the managers; Please, for the sake of food safety, throw out old HotCase food, Mark it down to reflect age and start checking food temps.

Owners are terrific and expanding selections. They have also added a liquor section. Expanded deli coming soon.07/12/2022 - Stop and Save in Scio continues to be a wonderful community convenience store with just about everything you need in an emergency and then some.

I've been to every stop and save in the area. From rickreal, to Brooks, Salem sublimity and sick these are all the same high ratings, great friendly people prices are competitive and the only place I will travel a few minutes further to give my business to this store over anyone else. Thanks for your awesome attitudes and personalities that make your stores a pleasure to shop

This is a typical small town grocery store. not a large selection of items. The prices tend to be a bit higher than neighboring towns. If you live here and only need a few items, this is a decent store. If you are needing to stock up, or purchase several items, it might be more economical to go to neighboring town.

I love this little small town store. It has a folksy charm I find appealing. The staff is very nice and they have pretty good choices considering its size. The addition.of the liquor store is a bonus.

Most of there Employees are Rude! Worse store ever! Always check you Receipt before you leave. They always over charge!! The Fresh Vegetables look horrible, tomatoes are almost always rotten. Totally worth the extra 20 mins to either drive to Salem or Albany . If I could give 0 stars I would

I wouldn't even give it a one star. Prices high, very little products. This is a small town, over charging turns people away to Albany or Jefferson. We aren't exactly the high up crust, we are just a nice simple town

Stopped by and got some hot, fresh deli food. It was super good. The donuts looked amazing, the person doing that is killing it...Keep up the good work! Definitely worth the drive for a taste

I have a personal love for this little store in Scio. Years ago when it first opened, I worked there. I spent several years walking across the street to my job. What a lovely commute it was. It has changed owners a couple of times since those first days. It is now more of a quick stop market and they have added a liquor store. It still holds some charm as a small town hub of activity. Try it for yourself sometime. They have a deli with boasted chicken, burritos, corndogs etc. Easily found on Main Street in Scio.

Best fried chicken with in a 40 mile radius.Dont own a deep fryer at home. so as a treat, I try all the stores and markets I stop at, along the way. During the work week For lunches.This , stop and save, hands down has best hot food in the deli.

If it wasnt for the employees I would not come here! The manger is rude and unfriendly and for a small town and the only store in town i would have a better attitude and be more helpful to your employees ahen it gets busy and they obviously need help instead of ugly look and bad attitude and rude to your customers! Its a shame that a person cant try to be a little happier or pretend at least!Strive not to come here only if I have to these days!

Horrible operations here at Scio Stop-N-Save! I've lived here my whole life, and have seen this store go through several changes; this one is by far the worst! Messy and disorganized store/parking lot, no aisle indicators, some items are listed with a price others are not, majority of staff is not polite, no smiles, no thank yous, no courtesy. 8 times outta 10 your left standing at an unoccupied checkout for an indefinite amount of time, there is a reason we don't do our grocery shopping here, heck I do my best to AVOID this store! Lastly, Scio doesn't need a convenience store, we need a grocery store! Dont take advantage of a small town!

Had to drop in here today (not my town) and was stunned to see almost no one (maybe one person out of 15) wearing a mask. Both clerks wit them, although one had hers below her nose. Likewise, NO distancing. No attempt to enforce the mandate. Foolish during a period when rural cases are rising. Shame on you!

Scio Shop n Save Market is probably the Worst place to buy Liquor on the world, I understand it is the least important thing on there agenda after 15 min. I usually just leave my bottle there and walk out as I'll be going to Lebanon or Albany in a few days anyways

Found out about this store through my brother-in-law found out through backwood brewing about the beer the porter pecan pie I am a PBR drinker to a pecan pie Porter drinker now big jump in variety flavor everything hands down badass beer the employees the staff etc go far and beyond what any other store in Salem Oregon does legitimately will write your name down what you would like and they will order for you and they will contact you upon it arriving also not knowing anything about the store but other than what my brother-in-law said I sent an email the very next day had an email okay this is where your beer is on this aisle on this shelf I walked in Dead on top notch service five starred if there were more stars you got them all you guys are about the people I respect that the store I will forever continue going to
