I have been a customer at Sherm’s even after Winco opened, however it has become a problem that you have to check the expiration date on everything you pick up. I have been to the store two times a week apart and the fresh salsa I prefer has been expired both times as well as the yogurt brand I like. I have been enjoying the fact that there are less people in the store since Winco opened but I can’t buy expired fresh items even though forced to tolerate other items which are also going to expire shortly. Yesterday there were short lines at the checkout and I picked a line where the checker left her station and light on to help her obvious friend (love you was exchanged at parting while ringing up my groceries). She should have turned off her light if she was going to help her friend or tell me to not start loading my groceries in the line. Seems like you have a lot of people working and then not being efficient.

The latest time in Oregon that you can legally buy alcohol is 2:30 AM not 2:00 AM. Sherm's decided to be more strict than the law (as if it wasn't strict enough already) and make it where you can't buy it after 2:00 AM. This difference between the law and Sherm's policy almost ruined my night. I came here to try to buy a bottle of red wine and some chocolate to help me relax for the night, and wasn't allowed to buy the wine even though it was 2:00 not 2:30, the legal limit. The cashier a woman with red hair, asked me how I was doing as I walked up to the register and I said "I'm doing pretty good tonight." She then said "Well you're Night's not going to be pretty good much longer because I can't sell you the wine." She then smirked at me like she was getting a kick out of the whole thing. I then said "But it's not 2:30 yet." She then said with a pleasure filled grin "The computer won't even let me sell it at this time." I got angry and left. I drove over to Winco and they did sell me the same wine and chocolate. Winco saved my nightly from Sherm's. I have been a regular, almost nighty customer at Sherm's for a while but I won't be buying my wine at Sherm's anymore. That business goes to Winco now. I spent the $16.00 that my purchase came to at Winco instead.

Went here because we were looking to buy some Carna asada and checked other places, but they were out of stock. This was a great choice. The meat was very fresh and the prices were fair. The produce department was also very fresh. This is my new place to buy meat. I will check out the rest of the store next time.

It was a big experience. The store seems huge to me.I do most of my shopping at Fred Meyer, coupons ect.I'm also familiar with store brands there, I know what to expect.Sherm's may be great for a large family, for now I'm going to stick with Freddie.

There's a wide selection of just about everything here. They also have a large bulk food section. They have the largest selection of Umpqua ice cream flavors that i have seen. You can even buy 3 gallon tubs of it for $22. ! They have every section you would see in any grocery store with more choices in each category. Produce,bakery,meat,seafood plus more.

Generally we love going to Sherms even when the competition with Winco became a reality we still shopped at Sherms mainly for their great customer service and selection. Today was NOT that experience! The cashier we had was very rude and impatient. We began to check out waiting for the elderly couple to complete their shopping. I went around started bagging patiently waiting for them, the cashier clearly didn't have any patience today. I was told there was no bags allowed on the rail, ok where am I supposed to put them? In the cart we are unloading still? So I wait. Then she continues to keep ringing product up smooshing everything that was at the end of the line knowing there was no where to put it yet. We didn't say anything as I was trying to be patient (elderly couple was still bagging their product btw). So I let it pile. I then get asked how many bags? Can I finish first? U now have all of our food smooshed at the end of the line not in bags and u ask how many bags smh!!!!!!! The cashier then proceeds to roll her eyes and is now being snarky with the other cashier this is line #6 and #7. Management needs to have a conversation with Susan N: Employee # 5849 u my dear need to learn what customer service actually means and if u hate your job that bad find a different one then! The elderly couple in front of us as well as ourselves didn't deserve your disrespect today! I hope u have the day u deserve and we will now be looking for other places to do our shopping!

Sherm's has been our favorite place for grocery shopping for years. We have seen many local organizations under the covered entry way . That tells us that Sherms supports local organizations and businesses. They also carry local produce when it's available. Their natural food and vitamin sections are fantastic. All of the staff are helpful and friendly. Their prices are competitive.

Sherm's isn't fancy, but if you want the best selection in town and the best prices in town, head for Sherm's.I almost forgot to mention, Sherm's has the best meat Dept in town, hands down, and if you don't see what you want just ring the bell and there's a good chance they can come up with what you want.

The place to go to get great deals at a low price and keep your dollars local. Old Man Sherm gives an entire semi-truckload to the food bank every year! Keep it local, Roseburg pride!

Great prices, great selection and they have everything you want and need and then much more on top of that. A really great store plus there is plenty of room down the aisles and the store is clean and well kept considering it is a 24 hour store.

I can always count on Sherm's Thunderbird to have everything that I need when I go grocery shopping. Great selection of food at great prices! Their organic section is unmatched; it's by far the best in Douglas County. I've been shopping here for years as my main grocery store and I will continue to support them. They can't be beat!

Honestly, I hate shopping here, Too many times I've alerted employees of molding produce, come back to check as I'm leaving the store, usually after spending 30-60 mins shopping, and that produce would still be there.

Always a good shopping experience and the two employees that always stand out and are always so helpful and friendly is JIM and MARIO they are soNice and so helpfulAnd always have a positive attitude. Especially JIM even when he is feeling his worst due to some health problems he is barreling. I honestly think with there positive attitudes both employees shouldGet a raise.

Went shopping there yesterday and bought groceries, including some yogurt that I didn't realize was 4 months past date when I picked it up. Ruined my smoothie this morning filled with other expensive ingredients. Also, several months back there was a sale on chicken breasts, when I got it home and opened the package, it was a strange color and smelled completely rotten. Had to throw it all away. I like that this store carries a lot of specialty health food items but they REALLY need to work on their quality control in my opinion, as food safety is very important, and healthcare is expensive!

Idk, I like it cause it's own, lol, late. I like to go in when there's not a lot of people, so.... It has way better prices compared to the big chain stores nearby. It's clean, and most of the time, the employees are more than willing to help you with a smile!

The large aisle signs are very helpful for finding things. Large selection of products and variety within categories. Large organic / natural food section as well. Best prices in town on most items. Cashiers are quick and efficient, even if you have a lot of groceries. Bring your own cooler bags, boxes etc. and prepare to bag your own groceries.

I've shopped at sherms for years, but ever since Winco has opened up next door, I realize how awful the store looks and feels. There is so much expired products, things aren't stocked etc etc. I'm not even going to blame the staff because there is barley any working especially when I've gone at night. Compared to the workers at winco, the ones at sherms look tired and overworked, and im sure they are with how little employees they hire. Shame on the owners, because I'm sure they yell at the staff for everything that goes wrong, when in reality they are the ones at fault. Your low stocking and bad/expired products are a reflection of the OWNERS and YOUR COMPANY. Do not shop here, go to winco asap

Driving through Roseburg, someone suggested we stop here for Umpqua ice cream. It was amazing! And two large scoops of ice cream was only about $1.50. We liked it so much, we stopped here for ice cream on our way back through.
