This is a very nice Safeway. Nicer than most we have see across the country. Had some very good looking produce and fruits. We did a small shopping and almost got everything we wanted. There was one item we couldnt find so we asked for help. This item was a circular item which just started today so it should have been on the floor and available. The manager told us they decided to remove them instead and ship it back. He had a really poor attitude about it and didnt care. I cant understand how a manager can decide to override corporate and then not even care that a customer is dissapointed but find it humorous instead. Bad management. He needs to go back to customer satisfaction training. Other than him, this place is really nice. The checkout person even told me he would cry for me if I wanted. He wasnt being sarcastic too was he?

Decent selection, self-checkout for the private folks who like to do it themselves. Though I've needed an attendant every time I've used it, so I always go for a cashier's lane.Prices have been creeping up slightly-- still generally a good deal, as long as you find the things that are on sale. Using the app is pretty much a must at this point.

So expensive even with the dumb member discounts that they place all over the store. One of the only places that charges extra for cans. If you advertise 2/$6 that’s what the price should be if you’re going to charge for cans it should be 2/$6.20 that is false advertising and you should be sued. Minimum wage is so low but the stores charge high prices just because they are the only Safeway for milesss I will shop at winco a gas station is even cheaper than buying groceries here with or without the discount.

Due to some family issues I had to spend a few months away from home & between the head pharmacist at my local store and the pharmacy staff in Roseburg I was able to transfer my hefty monthly meds (no joke, 19 of them) with no hiccups & them get them all transferred back. Without missing a single dose. I have been a loyal Safeway customer for years and, this situation just cemented all the reasons why.The staff were professional, courteous, friendly, and always willing to go that extra step to help.

Just got a fruit bowl from them through Instacart, bowl was 90% pineapple with unripe kiwi and strawberries. Y'all need to know when fruit is ripe and learn what false advertising is.

Great product selection. My wife and I purchased a specific brand of Gripe water for our toddler and Safeway in Roseburg just happens to have that specific brand. What a blessing!Their deli sandwiches are pretty tasty as well. I have not tried any other deli food from Safeway so I can't speak to that, but they have a nice selection. Once and a while we will use DoorDash to get some things if/when we need something but can't leave the house, which helps a lot!

What can I say? I LOVE SAFEWAY. Always have had and still do have good selection, service and with the SAFEWAY app you can save $$$I can honestly say people who work here are good people. Always working hard in all conditions to present the best products at the best prices. I got Umpqua ice cream half gallon for 97cents. Great Drive Up and Go option - You can order ahead and go pick it up - the friendly and fast DUG Department bring it right to your car! Thanks for everything SAFEWAY I'm coming back soon!Pics are of all the food I bought from SAFEWAY and cooked for Christmas. Fresh and Delicious 😋

As a travel nurse, I've spent the last few weeks here in the beautiful city of Roseburg living out of a hotel. My first stop anywhere is to find a Safeway. I've been in and out getting meals here rather than fast food everyday. Today I decided I wanted hot cooked chicken tenders to go on my salad. Well, they were out at the to go area. But, Camran went above and beyond. He could have said, "Sorry we are out", but he did not. Camran checked the back, then checked the freezer and brought some up to be cooked for me. You have no idea how much that meant! Thank you for feeding this ole girl. And, thanks for letting me know about when I can get the best deals. Well done!!

From pharmacy to Starbucks to even the customers .. I don't think they could do better with how incredibly hostile and rude people are in this store. The clerks are nice at least.

Customer service is poor. Ad prices are poorly marked and never enough items in stock that are on sale! Watch your recipes items on sale dont show up. They just throw your items in the bag instead of properly bagging them.

We usually stop here after we go to Costco. We like how close to the main road it is and always great products. The only thing I could say negative is sometimes there are not enough cashiers. I understand every company is having a hard time keeping employees. I would like to add that the employees are very nice and respectful.

Update 5/26 Don't recommend Pick-up service. Items added and others had incorrect number of items. Associate was great but rather spend a few mins shopping that not getting what I requested.Sandi AguiarClean, good service. More expensive than some other stores in town. Produce is fresh but packaged goods have short expiration dates. Most often choose Walmart.

Ordered food for our wonderful staff. The food was well made. Reasonable priced. Staff is very professional. Would recommend to anyone needing food for an event. I ordered 2 days before the event and collected it on the morning of the event. Food was packaged well. They provided the condiments, too. We will be ordering off them in the future. You all rock. I normally don't complain online typically leave no reviews or positive ones because people deserve to hear when they're doing a great job!.... but this Safeway is laid out horrible and it's extremely difficult and frustrating to find anything. Nevermind that like most places there's no one to ask.

Always too busy if you come with a group it's hard to get through aisles and walkways because customers seem to be stuck up and snobby and just walk right between you and the group. They're always busy and you have to wait about 15 minutes to get to the front. If you are by yourself, it isn't as noticeable.

Never had a question I didn't get an answer for and never crossed paths with a face I didn't get a smile from I even have a friend that works at Safeway and he's between homes (yeah that's pretty rough is what that means) and hes always in a good mood. So what I'm saying is if you're not going to go for the food you're definitely not going to go for the cheap groceries but you should go and try to figure out what they know that you don't

It's a great store actually .. very friendly to a new face and welcoming . Since I'm new on the area many of the store employees are helpful and knowledgeable. The deli is the best. Ladies at the counter. Super fantastic. I recommend the sampling the cranberry salad-sauce . To die for. YOM . CLEAN STORE AA ELL. PRICES ARE GOOD AND COMPARATIVE. MUSIC IS NICE INSIDE AS WELL .
