Only donate if you have just a few things. We tried to drop off a donation today of a lot of great clothes, shoes, purses, jackets, and blankets. They were willing to take 3 bags, but it was clear that the employee was annoyed we were even there. We will continue to donate to the shelter as we do often, but guess we should donate items elsewhere.

I met Lori ( I think that was her name) we talked about dogs cats kids and life, I was trying not to cry as I felt the Lord brought me there to meet her. I didn’t have winter clothes to start my new job, she was so wonderful and I bonded immediately and I am truly blessed to have found her and this wonderful place! Thank you! See you soon

They have so many quality items - whether it's something you are looking for or just browsing.Several times the employees have gone over and above to provide assistance.Very easy to bring donations in - this place is great!

Call before donating as they arbitrarily change their donation hours and do not update the website. Poorly run. Cashier spends way too much time chatting with a customer while others wait. This is my go to charity but I will change. Your staff is losing business for the animals benefit and that is wrong on every level. You can do better so DO BETTER!

I can’t express enough good things about my Brightside experience as a donor to both the shelter and the thrift store.The gentlemen who picked up my donations, today, were courteous, very professional, and worked non-stop.They protected the furniture beyond the professional movers I have used both past and present.Just the best in what is right in America, and a great cause worth my support and appreciation.

I love the concept of buying to support a cause, however I made a big purchase and the person who I was trying to ask for help with buying the item from was super rude to me. We will not be going back.

Love shopping here but maybe some better training.. I gave the lady a $20 bill and she didn't give the correct change. Then when I told her, she didn't believe me and ask people in line if I was telling the truth...

The thrift store is okay. It looked nice and it was pretty clean. The staff was nice too but the downside was that I was waiting in line at the cash register for awhile because of a cashier talking with the person in front of me for a long time. Also learned that for now on I'm using cash to pay because I didn't think about them getting charged for us using a card if you pay less than $5. I know that some places do that and some don't but would I be wrong to ask if they could at least put up a sign that says about the under $5 thing with a credit card? I was sad because there was this one kitty thing that I wanted to buy but couldn't because of the card rule. Sadly didn't have a lot of money either. Oh well, now I know.

Excessive use of the F-word and others swear words off the entry showroom floor was alarming. I did stick my head in the door and said excuse me, and shortly thereafter words the same continued on. When asked to speak to the manager at the register in regards to this lack of professionalism with excessive vulgar language, the cashier hesitated to connect me with the manager. When she stepped away to see if he was in, I followed her into the actual room where I had heard such language come from and lo and behold it was out of the mouth of new manager Jacob? Not impressed and for the fact that I have a full garage of my mother's items to donate this weekend I will be seeking another location. A weak apology was muttered from Jacob as he continued to stuff his face with his hamburger. Very disappointed our family has adopted animals and contributed items for resale for years. Sadly no more and I just come from seeking a dog to adopt from the shelter and looking for a crate to purchase from them and to confirm the donation hours for Saturday. The garage stuff full of her items will not be going to Brightside!

I was in today and bought a pair of pants. It was less than five dollars so I couldn’t use any of my cards. And I only had two dollars on me smh. But she asked how much I had and adjusted the price for me. Thank you! You really made our day.

Brightside has the most unfriendly staff of any of the thrift stores in Central Oregon. But the worst part is that they are duping their donors. The employees are volunteers and it seems that they can take donated items before the customers ever get a chance, so very little good stuff makes it into the store. People, if you want to donate to an honest thrift store that is doing great things donate to Possibilities in Redmond or Brightside in Bend.

The quality of products are poor. I would think since it's helping animals more people would donate here but what I have found is mostly garage sale junk. Too bad since it is for one of my favorite charities.
