We stayed just one night here.At check-in, the woman behind the counter (Carol) was welcoming and fun. After commenting that we were likely going to be coming for dinner, she spoke very highly of Robert’s cooking. We did return and she was right. We had the fish and chips and they were excellent. The fish was clean and not greasy. The fries (pepper, at Carol’s suggestion), were excellent. Carol was our waiter and she did a great job for us.The park itself is clean and well laid out. They have propane, auto fuel, water and a well-stocked store for the things you forgot. We strongly recommend this place.Food & drinks: Excellent meal, beer and service

The absolute best thing about this place is the restaurant and ultra friendly staff. We had the meatloaf and it was out of this world. The VERY BEST meatloaf I have EVER had! And the Chicken Fried Steak was huge! I can't say enough of how friendly the staff were and how delicious the food was. Now, on the negative side... The night time bugs! We were here in July, which understandably is a bad time, but the mosquitoes and gnats were awful.

Nice RV park off the normal highways & freeways... full hook-ups, a nearby saloon that can meet your libation expectations - with tasty pies, and a small store... gas, showers & laundry available too.Internet and cell service is sketchy, but, as they say - "you are here to relax, rest, and recharge."

I picked this park as part of our summer route and the right mileage for a days drive - glad I did. The young lady that checked me in was SO friendly, the sites were clean and well spaced as there were only a dozen or so people there. The rest rooms and showers were clean but DO require a minimum of $2 which is ok - helps save water! The Jackalope Restaurant was closed the night we were there due to the owner/chef/bartender having a personal injury - hope she gets better - I’m sure my burger would have been great the beer cold! There were plenty of birds in the park including at least 20 baby quail chicks. Verizon service was poor but their WI-FI was good. And we were treated to a great sunset and full moon. The only downside (and I knew this) was that it’s 25 miles back to town. All in all a pleasant stay! Thanks.

Great place and great new owners make sure you are happy and comfortable. They go out of their way to accommodate everyone who comes in to the store/restaurant and of course the camping sites.Perfectly located to whether you are a birder, hunting for the elusive wild horses, seeing vast amounts of historic Oregon, or just want to take in some scenery. You will not be disappointed with staying at the Narrows RV.

We stayed 4 nights at the RV park and enjoyed this quiet location. There were a few long-term guests here as well as vacationers, everyone was respectful. We were here the last week of July and were not bothered by mosquitos (though I heard they had been fierce just weeks earlier). The temps were low 90s but our full hookups made it possible to enjoy the AC in the trailer and it was pleasant in the evenings to sit outside. Harney County is very remote so it was a bonus to have a general store, restaurant, laundry, gas, etc available. The staff are all very nice and have a good teamwork ethic going. The food at the Jackalope Grill was delicious! This is a great home-base if you are visiting the attractions in the area - Steens Mountain, Frenchglen, Fields Station, Alvord, Malheur Refuge, Diamond Craters, etc. If you need to run to "town", Burns is 25 miles away. We hope to return here in the future, perhaps for a trip in the fall season to see the aspen on Steens mtn.

I think this campground would have been very different if the owners were in town. However, everything was closed when we arrived and the campground was about half full. So, it was very quiet. Not a bad thing, but as there is nothing around for miles I think if the Saloon and Restaurant were open it would have made for a completely different experience. Bathrooms are clean, but the showers are not free so make sure you have quarters! Beware of mosquitoes as well. We went inside our RV early in the evening because of them and when disconnecting from the services in the morning we were swarmed and got bit several times.

Great spot to stay when visiting Malheur National Wildlife Refuge! The site was clean and well taken care of. The staff was attentive and thoughtful. Loved the rare option to tent camp with electricity. We were able to charge our EV overnight. Mosquitos were horrible. Overall happy with our stay! Only criticism is the bathrooms were not as advertised on their website. Pictures attached.

Beautiful spot in the middle of nothing. This campground/RV park supplied clean bathroom areas, laundry mat, a camp store, and a cafe/saloon. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We visited in the mid/late spring season so the mosquitoes were crazy. So be sure to bring bug spray, the camp store has some if you forget!

We've stayed here twice over the past couple of years. The owners make a point of making your stay enjoyable and pleasant. The RV spots (rooms) are larger than many, with full hookups available. The only minor downside was that the wifi is a work in progress. Another feature is that the Narrows is just a few miles from the Malheur Wildlife Area, which makes it a perfect location for anyone who wants to do some birding in the area. The restaurant at the Narrows RV serves up a great bowl of Buffalo chili and Ruben sandwich, too! We love the location and the quiet atmosphere of the Narrows RV park.Nearby activities: Malheur Wildlife Reserve is close by, as are other destinations such as the Round Barn, Frenchglenn, Diamond Craters, Steens Mountain, and Krumbo ReservoirFood & drinks: The restaurant at the Narrows RV served good meals for us, and we heard positive stories from others who ate there as well.

I stayed one night on April 8th while on a quick fishing trip. The people working there were noticeably nice and friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Electrical hookups were available. Camp Site Water was still frozen as this is the end of winter in the high desert. They have a little diner and a small store also. $29 for a large site. Fireplace at each site it looked like 👍🏽

What a great place to stay! Tina is the sweetest, and the whole property is kept very beautifully. We stayed in the cabin, and it was comfortable, warm and clean. We had dinner in the cafe, and it was really tasty. The area is outstanding, and we toured the Steens Mountain wilderness, saw wild mustangs, a herd of big horn sheep, huge herds of deer, a coyote, and tons of birds. We toured the east side of the mountain, as well, and saw the Alvord Desert. Amazing landscapes. Crane Hot Springs was also really nice.

We arrived at the park later than expected, a little after 9pm and tent camped on the lawn for one night (driving through area). The ground was comfortable, area wasn't buggy at all, bathroom/shower facilities very clean and warm! We saw a shooting star and very much enjoyed the quiet/peace. This place is the perfect blend on being out in the wild while still having access to basic comforts (like water, electricity, warmth, food and laundry) as well. The park hosts are very attentive and friendly. Really appreciate them understanding our reservation mishap and late arrival!

My husband and I stayed a week here and I am so happy we had the chance, we met Tina and Scott the owners, this RV park was like visiting family. All the staff and other guests were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back, even if it is just say hi. ❤️

Didn't stay at the RV park, but had a fabulous lunch at the attached restaurant . Best Patty Melt ever and my husband had a very tasty San Francisco burger. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. We don't come to eastern Oregon often, but next time we do, it's sooooo worth the 25 miles from Burns to get a delicious meal 😋 . We might even stay at the RV park - it looked very nice.

Had a magical stay here! The sites seem private because of the landscaping, the RV park wasn't very full during the week so it was nice and quiet. They have a restaurant, bar, store, laundry, and gas in site! Its a great stop. The place gets bustling around lunchtime, a lot of workers and adventurers stop by. They have a good pet area. Not the best cell service, but they do have wifi near the restaurant and the owners are working expanding it through the whole site. But it's a great excuse to be off the grid! The most amazing sunsets and sunrises. Would definitely stay here again.

The RV park was not worth it. Booked online and they sent an email confirmation number with no other information. The website talks about amenities like showers and wifi and bathrooms. If you shore up when they are closed you realize you don’t know if you pick an open RV spot or not. Wifi is only at the restaurant, not in the rv park. Batting are locked, but they never gave a pass code. The showers are in the bathrooms. And oh the website says showers as if they are included, they are not. 3.50 per shower, so these aren’t included. And you must have all quarters. So showing up when they are closed is not a good idea. They say 30 and 50 amp…. Try to find a50 with no one helping you. If there are 50 they aren’t marked and all the empty sites I checked were 30 amp only. They should have explained most of this better in the website. And sent codes with the email. They say horse shoes (the game). One horse she pit in poor condition with out sand. Cabin rentals. I saw one cabin. The website is very misleading. And they are very hard to get ahold of if they are closed. In fact they never got back to me. If you hate mosquitoes stay away drying the spring and summer. Way way too many, but that’s the nature of its location. It would have been better camping on BLM. I had a generator and would of had the same amenities as the Rv park. Even when they opened and I got a bathroom… still no shower. It wasn’t worth it to stay there For the rv park

Can't say enough good about this place! Owners and staff were friendly, park was clean, bathrooms spotless, and the food was delicious. The salads were fresh and tasty and the pot roast was worth writing home about! This place has most anything you need, including a small but well supplied mini Mart and nice, unique gifts. Plus a service station and laundromat! We definitely hope to return.

We stayed at the Narrows RV on our way up to Washington and when we went back home. Tina and Scott were so friendly! We ate at the restaurant for dinner both times and the food was delicious. My husband loved the milkshake. Definitely going back this summer.

We have been doing here on our trips to Frenchglen for years. Love the burgers and milkshakes. This was our first time meeting the new owners and they are wonderful! Tina makes you feel so welcome. An absolutely delightful person. The food was great. The RV park is very nice. Quiet, good sized spaces, the wifi was serviceable, not strong, but usable. They have tables and fire pits, plus coin laundry and showers. Very nice facilities. Their fuel is reasonably priced for the location. Had a wonderful visit and we will definitely be back!

The Narrows is a hidden gem. Just a short drive south of Burns , it is nestled next to the wildlife refuge . It is lovely , clean, and fully equipped with all the necessary services. The hosts are very helpful and welcoming. There is a lovely cafe as well. It is well priced and an excellent value.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Narrows and absolutely loved it. The place is very clean, the owners are fantastic and the food was great. Had some great conversations with Scott and his wife Tina every evening over a nice cold beer.It is a great place to park your RV and explore the area. We went to the Alvord Desert and hot springs, found Mickey Hot Springs, Did the Steen's Wilderness drive and saw the wild horses, antelope, deer and even a fox. Visited the Round Barn, had a great burger and milkshake in Fields, We will be going back, and would like to see it in Spring or Fall.

This place is absolutely WONDERFUL!!! The month I spent there was so peaceful & healing. The owners Tina & Scott are ever so kind and generous! The park is sooo clean! By far the cleanest RV Park I've yet to find here in Oregon! The mini mart is perfect for basic needs or even unique gifts! And the restaurant is AWESOME! If you find yourself looking for a place to park while you explore for adventures or just need a place of peace, look no further. 💯

Great food and service! New owners are such a breath of fresh air, friendly and personable! We love coming here, it's a one stop shop with food, dessert, bar and store! They even have espresso!! Everything is clean and the food is fresh and served up in good time! I should have taken a picture of our BLT, it was great!
