I had been going to this store for a while. Folks who work there are very friendly and helpful. What however gets me is how and who will buy the okra in pics I've attached...or green beans. I wonder if the produce manager themselves will cook it. Prices are skyrocketing, I'm not asking top of line produce but please give me something 'acceptable' in return of my hard earned $$ . Winco at Ne 102nd gateway. Thanks.

To my Organic/vegan/meal peppers, do not underestimate a good WinCo bulk run! This is where I start my shopping before moving up to higher end stores and hear me when I say inflation has hardly hit our household. And I always find I can get 90% of what I need (though stores vary by location in terms of organic produce). I start in the organic veg section and stock up to freeze and store the good greens for later use. Not to mention bulk mushrooms and cheap organic tofu (by a factor of $2-$3 per container my dude, for the exact same brand). Then I head to the bulk bins for beans, lentils, rice, gluten free chickpea pasta/oatmeal, nuts and seeds, fresh ground nut butter, and seasonings. The last thing I do is grab from the non dairy milk/creamer options, a Nancy's yogurt and pasture raised eggs ($5 yo). A fresh loaf of sourdough and maybe WinCo brand sparkling sodas and I'm good. It helps that we don't eat meat/alcohol/dairy milk and processed foods for cost savings. But those are not the people I'm writing to.

They took out the self check out and replaced it with nothing. I have a handful of items and it will take 20 minutes to checkout. I spend more time in line than shopping. Going down to the other Winco on 122nd would be faster. Don't bother buying frozen food. It will melt by the time you checkout.

Probably the lowest prices on most food items daily instead of being on sale occasionally.Very organized and decent parking.Staff is mostly cordial and helpful.Wish they went back to being open 24 hours, but it is what it is. Midnight is still late for the PDX Metro Area

It's a Winco and so some employees are glad to be there and some hate being there and hate you as a customer making it so they have to be there.Walking in I found the front entrance mostly blocked by an employee with a huge cart stocking items and she just glad at me while I tried to get by her and her enormous cart only to find a mother wrangling her two kids and taking up the remaining space in the entry way.Once inside I found that most Isles are being stocked and so are blocked by giant pallets and rude employees.Thankfully the checker was friendly and most of the customers were also in good moods despite over hearing several people comment about the isles being blocked.Their prices are still good so still worth coming to. I will stick to mine off 82nd and Powell where they seem to have gotten rid of the unhappy employees.

No self checkout anymore which causes huge lines, making it harder for everyone to shop. Theft is just an excuse. You're going to drive more people away, so I don't see the logic behind this at all.I've been going to this store for as long as I can remember. I'll go somewhere else next time.

Used to be a good Winco but they closed the self checkout. Absurd. When more and more stores are implementing self checkout, which provides streamlined checkout experiences, they close theirs so you're forced to go through a claustrophobic line rather than a simple register. 0/10, I despise this. Portland is really going in the toilet.

The shopping went well and I was able to find all of the items that I was looking for. However, I need to occasionally get a rubber ducky from the ducky crane. But this time I didn't have the correct change and so asked the teller to break a five for me. She said that I would have to buy something... She would not budge on this. Even though I had already made a purchase. Frustrating!

Be careful and carefully check the sales receipt you receive, and ask sellers to clearly indicate the cost of each product you purchase. Several times already in this store they took extra money from me, I had to recalculate everything again and they returned the extra money that they took from me

Clean, fast lines and best prices in town. Lots of shopping carts. Gateway MAX train and bus transit center is on the other side of Fred Meyer across the street and several bus options. Restaurants and mini malls all over. Gateway area.

The shelves are always well stocked and the workers are friendly and helpful at this store. It's where I normally do my grocery shopping. The last few times I've been there, only one line has been open and the line has been ridiculously long. Tonight I waited for about ten minutes and the line didn't move a bit. I unfortunately abandoned my cart and went across the street to the Fred Meyers, one of the worst Fred Meyers in Portland. Seems like management at this store has gone downhill lately.

I would like to say I appreciate all the employees at WinCo for their professional behavior combined with over the top patience and in general just overall a noticable kindness. All this with us customers under their feet, under their fork lift in route... And AFTER STORE HOURS .THANK YOU WINCO WORKERS

I'll remove my review when they restock their boxed fondue from Switzerland. Returning customer attempting to repurchase an item. Thank you for wasting my time. I don't even find a spot of the shelf anymore. I'll go across the street and shop at Fred Meyer from now on

The customer service never open and they don’t prioritize to hire More people in order to run the customer service counter. It’s quite ridiculous and I just go to the 122nd Instead they’re reliable.

Pros are best prices in town by far, shelves are well-stocked cashiers are always friendly and outside of produce lots of organic/alternative foods available, open 24/7 so you can avoid crowds by going very early or late. Cons are no credit cards (which keeps prices low), and almost no organic produce. The pros outweigh the cons and I do about 90% of my shopping here. Sometimes lines are long but there's a labor shortage everywhere.

Haven't been there in a while, and was very glad to see the prices haven't changed that much! I'll be excited to come back!

They had a sign for black turtle beans, it advertised 50lb of beans for 29.98. The bags were on 25lb bags, so I got 2 to make the 50 lbs. I also took a picture just to be sure. When I went to Check out at the selfcheck out. The associate working at 4:15pm said that it shouldn't be that price. I then proceeded to show the gentleman the advertised price tag. He then called over a lady and she apparently was the bulk food Manager. She said that it shouldn't be that price as well. I then showed her what the signed said and then proceeded to say no that is wrong and then tried to scan it with her scanner gun. She then said the scanner gun was also not giving the correct price. I then asked do you not honor what you advertise on your shelves or do you pick and choose what you honor. She said well the sign is not correct and you need to take them out of your cart. She has told me this after I have already paid for the beans. She then tells me to take it out of the cart once again before rushing off saying the sign was wrong and she is going to go change the sign. I then just walk out because she doesn't offer anything or make anything right plus her tone was very rude when it is Wincos sign that is not correct and I showed her. You do not have to be rude with me because I am just trying to take advantage of a great sale which was advertised. I always shop at winco and today was not good customer service. Please coach your associates on how to talk to customers.

I showed up here with maybe 3 or 4 minutes till closing and while the employees obviously didn't want me to spend a bunch of time there they still let me get my shopping done and were not but polite.Since that seems to be rare now, especially Fred Meyer stores usually not allowing anyone in 10 to 15 minutes prior to close, I appreciate that. Also, Winco seems to have good prices and unique products other grocery stores don't.

I got SO much produce and other items for under $50. I can't believe I went this far in life without shopping at WinCo. They have an amazing bulk section and lots of produce.Note: Can't use credit cards here. Cash or debit only.

It depends which one you go to, because the Winco on 102nd doesn't have a person to stay on top of the self check out lane: it's a person there but they don't direct people to keep the line going like it should. People use cash should be direct that and card that direction, like they do on 122nd on Halsey

Still the best place to save money on shopping trips, even after all these years! What used to be a $75 shopping trip, is now double but it's still the cheapest place to buy my groceries. Four paws up

It was a quick in and out visit. No lines to wait in to check out. Some items didn't have prices on the shelf which is kind of a pain but not too big of an issue for what it was.

This WinCo is a great grocery store. The staff is friendly and helpful, the prices are low and they're open late. The stores are large and have everything. Unfortunately, there's no online ordering and they don't deliver. I live right across the street from a different grocery store, but buy most of my groceries here. This is my go to store.

Great deals was able to spend very little and get quite a bit which helps allot when you're strapped for cash. And it's good quality.

I patronize WinCo, in part, because it is employee owed. (Though the prices certainly don't hurt!)

I went early in the morning (5:30am) and its like they dont even want you there.. most isles either have empty pallets or just a pallet jack on both sides so you can't get around them with your cart. Id understand if they were restocking the isle and didn't want anyone to go down it but it was practically every isle with no employees to be found. Ended up just leaving with the few items I could get. They need improvement

There’s a difference between customer service and just talking. Waited for over 5 minutes at the deli for one customer. Just because they wanted to talk for a while.
