I adopted my first large breed pup knowing he’d need lots of exercise. Walks and dog parks are great, but I wanted to switch things up. I’m so thankful I found Urban Dogger!Nate was wonderful meeting my little guy for the first time. He seriously is a dog whisperer and Oakley warmed up to him right away. I really like that Nate takes the time to get to know each dog and considers their personality and needs. He recommended we start with a small group to ease into the routine.Happy to say that first pack walk was a success and Oakley (now 70+ lbs) has been on many adventures with Nate ever since. He comes home happy and tired every time! I also love the candid photos he takes of my boy and seeing him socialize with all the other dogs makes me a proud dog mom.If you’re looking for a fun activity for your fur baby, I highly recommend Urban Dogger!

I don't know where we would be without Nate and Urban Dogger! This past year we moved from Hawai'i to Oregon and were eager to ensure that our pups had a smooth transition. Our newest family member, a pandemic rescue Owen, is a rowdy 1.5 year old pinscher-heeler who was still fairly new to us and had grown accustomed to a pack program when we lived in the islands. Luckily we found Urban Dogger shortly before the move. Nate was so patient with us as he explained his program and worked with us to get Owen all set up shortly after arriving in Portland. At first, Owen pulled all the time. Now after being with Nate for over six months, he walks well on a leash and is a more balanced pup overall. Nate's positive and calm demeanor really reflect on the pack, and honestly I want to bottle it up on our days off! The pack walks are such a great way for our energetic pup to get the wiggles out while socializing in a controlled and fun setting. Nate treats all of the dogs like they are his own, and we trust him completely. We are forever grateful to him and Urban Dogger.

My dog (and his humans) LOVE the Urban Dogger and have been getting top notch, detail oriented grooms on a regular basis for a year. My dog got groomed just yesterday and is loving his summer cut- photos attached. We are always happy with the results and amazed at how easy (and convenient with in-home grooming) it is to work with UD’s staff. We highly recommend the Urban Dogger!!

My Dogs love Nate and Leia dances every time he comes to pick her up. Great exercise, great calm teaching proper behavior and such kind caring people. Anyone that can get 10 dogs to sit happily for a picture is a dog whisperer for sure.

Superb grooming experience for my 12 year old Pomeranian. The groomer was so attentive, detailed, and gentle. You can tell that they really care about how your dog feels and create a low stress experience.They were on time and brought everything they needed to my home. They worked in my bathroom and even cleaned up afterwards. It was incredibly convenient.They were also knowledgeable and seemed more skilled than some of the groomers I've tried. Compared to others in the area, the pricing was more than fair and easy to pay. There were no hidden fees or last minute extra charges.I'll definitely be utilizing Urban Dogger's services again.

My dogs have been in Nate's pack walks for over 8 months now. I initially enrolled them because my gigantic rescue, Lebowski, started developing socialization issues that were mostly the result of his living on the street for 2 years. My obedience trainer recommended the pack walks as a way for Lebowski to gain positive experience with smaller dogs without the chaotic nature of the dog park. The fact that he's a younger dog with lots of excess energy to burn was another issue that the walks could definitely help with as well!The initial consult consisted of Nate meeting my dogs and going on a trial walk nearby to get a feel for their temperaments as well as understanding my expectations. Nate definitely takes the time to evaluate every dog that enrolls to make sure it's the right fit. The fact that Nate isn't trying to cram as many dogs into a single walk than he can comfortably manage definitely set me at ease. The fact that his walks scale for both my older 15 year old terrier and rambunctious rescue was another happy surprise. Nate always prioritizes safety and keeps me in the loop constantly with pictures and videos of my dogs on their walks on a daily basis.I started noticing improvements in Lebowski's attitude towards smaller dogs after about 3 weeks of pack walks. Not only that, but our daily walks were so much more pleasant as well. Lebowski's "greetings" to other dogs saw a dramatic improvement. Everywhere we go now, smaller dogs will happily try and introduce themselves while Lebowski (instead of lunging to play with basically everyone) calmly wags his tail.Even better, Nate facilitated playdates with another dog on his walks that Lebowski took a liking to. This was immensely beneficial to his socialization as he was able to experience a friendly but energetic playmate that showed him how to interpret boundaries as well as setting his own without aggression.My dogs will definitely continue to go on Nate's pack walks! The impact he's had on Lebowski's socialization is immeasurable and Im grateful to have found Urban Dogger.

Absolutely could not recommend more! They did such an amazing job with my little terrier mix, who is usually pretty squirrelly. Customer service was perfect, and everything was very easy to manage around my work schedule. Highly highly recommend!

Nate is like family. My dog loves him and he’s just about the nicest, most accommodating, genuine guy you’ll meet. And Maggie always can back from pack walks tired, socialized and happy. I trust Nate with my pup and my house, and he would always go above and beyond for us. Can’t recommend him enough to walk your pet!

What a find!! After bouncing around Portland looking for a grooming service that was fairly priced and accepting new dogs, Urban Dogger was amazing. Came to the house which really helped our “protective” mini Aussie feel comfortable and get a great cut that was long overdue. 5 out of 5 stars on the communication from them too!! Thank you.

It took me a while to figure out the best way to socialize my dog, Jack. We got him from the Oregon Humane Society at eight months with five“homes” in his background. He has a lot of energy, can be skittish and comes on strong. And he’s a big boy! But he loves to be and play with dogs. Nate is the perfect match. He has a Zen-like, affectionate calm with Jack. Jack liked and trusted him immediately, which never happens with other people. Nate has exactly the kind of energy Jack needs. I am relieved he can get this activity with other dogs in a structured way that is fun and requires his focus. I absolutely recommend Nate and Urban Dogger.

Nate was the most unbelievable and reliable dog walker in New York (coming from someone who has lived in 5 neighborhoods all over Brooklyn with many dog walkers along the way). I'd not only trust him with our Puggle, Driggs, but potentially my life—ha! PLUS, when I moved from Park Slope to Crown Heights, he went out of his way to keep us on his schedule even though our apartment wasn't on his typical route. Absolutely do not hesitate to hire Nate; he's the most caring, thoughtful and kind walker/human you'll find. We miss him a ton over here in Brooklyn and it took a while for us to replace him.

Urban Dogger has changed the lives of our whole family and dog Achilles. The team is amazing, so personable and caring, and truly magical with Achilles. With busy lives and pandemic living everyone in our family has been a bit low in spirits but each day Urban Dogger comes up to the door for Pack Walks we all start beaming, especially Achilles! We’ve watched Achilles mentally and physically become so much stronger and happier - it’s quite amazing. Words can’t express how amazing this service and their people are. Initially was excited to meet with owner for their pickup/drop-off group dog adventure services. Scheduled an in-home visit to meet together with my dog. I reached out 5 days in advance to ask about a reschedule for our meeting when an unexpected memorial service came up. I never heard back from the owner for rescheduling and then I left a second message to ask if we could keep the original meeting time because the memorial was not going to be COVID-safe. Only then, on the morning of the original afternoon meeting, did I get a response saying they were going to Hood River and not available. We rescheduled to my one weekday off late in the afternoon. I had juggled my childcare, my elderly mother’s medical visit, and several other items just to be available for the meeting. Less than an hour before the meeting I texted the owner to say I might be there about 15 minutes late and asking if that would work for them. They replied that they had completely forgotten about the meeting and wondered if I could reschedule for the weekend. For $45 a day, this is an unprofessional, unreliable service for working people needing dog care. It’s not worth the headache and time investment if I can’t even rely on the owner to remember (and cancel if needed) our initial meeting or respond to messages in a timely manner.

Nate is great with dogs, he’s so patient and really understands/caters to the needs of each dog he works with. Urban Dogger has also set me up with great connections for grooming, training, etc. It’s the best!!

I used their in home grooming service for my 7month old puppies first time getting groomed. She is half poodle half gsp and had a very thick coat with a few matted areas. She is a little bit shy and anxious when getting dropped off at places so the in home option was super convenient and honestly more affordable than I expected. She was way more comfortable at home and even when she got a little skiddish with the blow dryer she was able to handle her well! Will definitely recommended and use their services again.
