My pup and I love this place so much! They truly care for my baby boy and always treat him so well and make him feel so welcome! I use their boarding services more often than their grooming, but I am always extremely satisfied with everything they do. They’re extremely affordable compared to other boarding places in town, and I also feel like my pup is in great hands. When I miss my pup over an extended period of time and request photos of him, they always send me the cutest pictures and videos and let me know how he’s doing.The staff is always so sweet to me and my boy.I cannot recommend this place enough!

They took great care of my girl Luma today! She's an Aussie/husky mix so she's got lots of fur. This was only her second time getting groomed. Booking online was easy and straightforward, everyone I interacted with was pleasant and helpful, they did a great job with the groom itself and it's exactly what we wanted! You even get a little report card at the end so you know how your pup did. The price was also very reasonable. We will be returning customers in the future. Thank you!

I’ve been taking my dog here to get groomed for well over a year. Huey is always so excited to come in and see everyone! The staff is always very friendly and accommodating if your pet has special needs that need to be considered. My pug had an ear infection a while ago and was told to not get his ears cleaned so they did their best to wrap him up and keep his ears protected during his bath. Also love the bandanas and report cards they give him each time! Will gladly keep being a regular here 🖤

Patient, awesome, accommodating. Chucky has stayed here a few times and always seems to do okay, despite the anxiety I project on to him. I forgot vaccine updates for this last stay and they were kind enough to wait past drop off time (won’t make it a habit!) to make sure that Chucky’s vaccines were up to date. They’re the real deal 😎 thanks so much, townhouse !!

Staff are very professional and friendly. My two chihuahuas are pretty anxious and shy but Townhouse did a great job with them. I brought their sleeping blanket because I thought they would need something that smelled like home and my dogs peed on it, the staff were kind enough to WASH the blanket and hang it to dry :') (it is a spendy waterproof puppy blanket that can only be hung up to dry so I really appreciated them paying attention to this, but i felt so bad they had to do that so ill probably leave the blanket out next time lol). I have already booked them for another appointment, and they helped me find availability so I could take some time off with my family last minute. Its only $50 or so to board both my little ones together so they can cuddle eachother at night like they do at home. I get really good rest knowing they are in good hands!!!

Love this place! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the place is extremely clean. My dog, Lily, always seems happy when I bring her for a stay. They have lots of cool options to make your pup’s stay even better…extra play time, kong treats, etc. And it’s all extremely reasonably priced.

Fantastic animal people! The staff at Townhouse Pet Care have consistently been friendly and super helpful. The old dog actually gets excited when he figures out we're going for a visit. They are always very nice and super accommodating of his needs which I massively appreciate. Those who work the front desk like Alex are very good people and seem quick to help to fix any issues from setting an appointment to billing. The facility itself is always very clean and welcoming. The pups love the treats they sell a lot. They've definitely earned a customer for life.

Very happy with our first grooming experience!!Juneau is 1.5 years old and had never been professionally groomed until today because I had heard too many horror stories about groomers with Aussies!My worries were put to rest as soon as we picked him up. He was soooo soft and clean and seemed very well taken care of. We will definitely be back regularly 💖

They take great care of my dog for grooming and boarding. He is always happy when he leaves. They have a cute treats bar so I usually buy him something while he is there. This place is the best hands down, they are so so kind. My dog loves it here and this is the only place I take him for boarding, daycare, and grooming.

My girl Milly went in a hot mess and came out a whole new, insanely happy, dog! I was even a little bit late which was no problem for them. Highly recommend these folks, Stephany especially, they work fast and Beautifully Love the report card feature and the bandana as well!

Today I took my dog Einstein, a great Pyrenees in for a groom with Kat(?). Einstein had matted fur near his rear and on his legs, and I told the groomer to shave his legs if she can’t get the matted fur out with deshedding.When he got out, Einstein was shaved to the skin from neck to tail. This is not, at all, recommended for double coated dogs like Great Pyrenees. We had been taking him to the vet for his skin issues, and were told repeatedly not to shave him. If the groomer thought a shave was necessary, she should have contacted us before shaving him, and we would have paid you for your time and taken him elsewhere. Now, because both of his coats have been removed, he will be unable to thermoregulate, prone to sunburn, and his outer coat may never grow back properly.We think this is unacceptable. To perform a non-breed standard procedure without first calling to check with the owner is irresponsible.I would not recommend this groomer or this establishment whatsoever! I will be requesting a full refund.

My puppy gets all the good treatments! She gets her baths and trims at Townhouse and spends her days at No Bones About It daycare! We love these guys! They give our puppy so much love and she is so happy when I bring her!

They were not prepared for a bearded collie puppy with a substantial volume of fur, and succeeded only in trimming his nails and removing the near entirety of his beard— despite being specifically asked to not do so. I’ll admit for posterity that this was his first visit to this or any groomer, but we made this clear on the intake paperwork and were asked no follow up questions in the lead up to the appointment. Obviously, we will not be returning and want to caution other long haired dog owners.

Best place in SE Portland for boarding your pet! They always take such great care of our fur baby, give him lots of love and attention. Plus the prices are so reasonable, especially if you're a repeat customer. They give out discounts for future visits that make it even more affordable. Just good vibes, honestly. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

I've been here for nail trimming and ear cleaning twice now. Both times I've been in and out in 5 minutes and the work is quality. I feel like their prices are more than fair and the staff seems friendly as well. Would recommend especially if you are in a hurry.

It has taken me way too long to write this review because I have been taking my Pomeranian to Townhouse for grooming for a few years now, and Cait has consistently done an amazing job! Not only does Cha Cha leave her grooming sessions looking incredibly cute and fresh, but I know that she receives a ton of care and attention from their whole team due to her separation anxiety. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing that I'm leaving my teeny baby in such a safe environment and feel super lucky to have found the great folks at Townhouse.

I have been a client of Townhouse Petcare for at least 25 years for grooming and overnight boarding. I absolutely love Townhouse. My little Jack LOVES Kathy, his groomer, Sky, Mariah, Bri, and the entire team. Dan and his team are the best in the business – Townhouse is and has always has been FIVE STARS. They continue to improve on their products and service just when you think it couldn’t be more perfect – they go the next step higher. I can’t imagine life without Kathy – she is an extraordinary groomer, always smiling and friendly. Townhouse would not be the same without Kathy – she is truly irreplaceable. Jack’s trim and shampoo takes his already cuteness to the highest level after every appointment. Sky is the most professional manager. We come here for nail trims, even though we live ~20 minutes away in St Johns. The service has always been excellent and they get along well with our fairly temperamental pup. Love this place and will keep coming back! Busy though, so make reservations +1 week in advance.

After waiting 3-4 months for an appointment, the appointment went exactly as I hoped it wouldn’t.I have a 4 year old rescue cocker spaniel. He’s very defensive and can be aggressive when he isn’t given his space to make a proper introduction and to make sure he’s okay with what’s going on.I made sure to go over that in the appointment booking ahead of time and in person as well with the reception staff. The first thing that the groomer did was get in his face and put their hand on his head within seconds of seeing him.My heart immediately sank because that groomer just ruined all chances of him being okay here. I insisted on putting a muzzle on him to make it easier for them, but they knew best and said he didn’t need it.He chewed through his leash and now he’s stressed out beyond belief. I ended up leaving here and definitely won’t be returning. I really hope management sees this and I can get a credit for my now ruined leash.Sometimes the owners know their dogs better than a complete stranger. Please listen to a concerned owner next time, it would save everyone a lot of frustration and stress.

TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!This place is SOOOO clutch!They are very fairly priced, did an amazing job, got me in for an appointment super quick after following up from a cancellation from another customer... the list just goes on and on.The staff is super friendly and welcoming, Cait(my dogs groomer) was extremely nice and went over exactly what would be done and when I should expect to pick up my dog Napoleon.BEST PART: when I came to pick up my dog, the receptionist at the time was helping another customer who was late for their appointment, and they were slammed! The team worked together to accommodate the customer that was not on time, major W. I wish I would have got the receptionists names as well because they were great.So comforting to have a go to legit spot with a solid team to make this process as simple and stress-free as possible.Thanks so much!

My last appointment with these guys was months ago but still, to this day, my experience with them pops back into my head and so I realize I've let them get away with something if I don't say something.When I picked up my dog from his appointment, I was met by the groomer and the receptionist who told me because the matting was so bad, he was thrashing around, biting and it took 3 people to groom him. I was mortified and apologized profusely (I should also mention I was very visibly pregnant) and said I would proactively work on keeping him brushed out between grooms. They also recommend he be sedated for his appointments. I waited for the hostility to lift after I showed I was cooperative and it just didn't. I was being stared down, and told they would have to fine me for his bad behavior. The bullying was like something out of high school. Really, really weird.I had never had this kind of review for Jackson before- the 'extreme' matting or the anxiety/ aggressiveness. (I noticed when I dropped him off just how anxious he was which denotes a previous bad experience with them and I was already worried about leaving him.)I decided to try another groomer the next time, to get a second opinion and wrote to them ahead of time telling them of this experience and that if they, too, felt Jackson should be sedated I would do that in the future.They saw Jackson and said they couldn't believe I had been told that. They said he was in perfect shape and that he had been well behaved. They sang his praises.Really bizarre, awful experience and to have had to go through it while obviously pregnant was merciless.Beware.
