I’ve had SUCH trouble historically with my dog getting his nails trimmed. And it only got progressively worse as each appointment my pup had was horrifically traumatic for everyone involved. Last night I couldn’t sleep because of the anxiety of taking him to a new groomer, Oh Paws. It couldn’t have been a more eye opening, FANTASTIC experience. The owner/operators are just hands down wonderful people who you can tell are true dog lovers. I nearly cried during because it was so smooth and so positive. 100% BEST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN FOR GROOMING!! Thank you MARK and a special thank you to his lovely wife who my stupid mind has just slipped in naming personally. But she’s amazing. Great vibes and I instantly felt at ease.

I have a 3 year old Cane Corso who has always freaked out when it came time for a trim despite having his paws frequently touched/handles in hopes of bringing down his sensitivity a bit. He never bit at me but would mouth my hands and not let me get close to his paws with a clipper.When we got to Oh Paws my guy was immediately comfortable with Mark and during the trim he didn't even flinch. Mark's handling and nature with my guy put him immediately at ease and the trim was finished before he (or I) knew it. The other reviews, which brought me to Mark, are right on the ball. He's a wizard dog whisperer who, seemingly with his presence alone, kept my dog tranquil and completely at ease while doing something that usually sets off all his bells and whistles.I will be booking monthly appointments with him from now through the foreseeable future. 15/10!

We had an excellent first visit at Oh Paws! Mark was very attentive, caring, and had a great energy with our dog. It was our dog's first time with a dremmel tool, but Mark put our dog at ease and distracted him with frozen peanut butter treats. We'll definitely be back!

My neighbor recommended Oh Paws when I told her how much my dog, Sitka hates being handled by other people. I immediately knew that we’d have success with Mark, the second he interacted with my dog. He took the leash and started doing engagement work with him around the store without any baby talk. During the nail trimming, Mark continued on as Sitka growled and muzzle punched him rather than giving into Sitka’s attempts to make him stop. Mark is incredible and if he can trim Sitka’s nails no problem, he can do any dog.

So I have never gone to a nail trimmer before since I have always done it myself. I mistakenly cut one nail to short with Wallace our pittie, that was the end of that. Good thing I found Mark and now all is right with the world. He’s a pittie guy and that’s all it really took to win me over. He’s assertive, caring, and my boy trusts him (as do I) more than me in regards to the nails. Mark, thank you for being you. I will recommend to all.

I have a street dog who absolutely hates getting her nails trimmed, but thanks to Mark we have a system that works! Mark is patient and skilled and always puts my dog's needs first. I can see that he truly cares about my pet's well-being. Thank you, Mark and Oh Paws!

I was SHOCKED at how well my lil (70 pound) dude accepted his nail trim. After countless nail trim failures either at the vet or at home, I was certain he’d freak out the second his paws were touched. But he remained chill as ever while Mark the angel talked us through every step and worked his magic. I swear my lil guy walked home with an extra bounce in his step from relief and the extra confidence Mark gave him.We are both no longer terrified of this process thanks to Oh Paws. I cannot recommend this team enough!Never thought I’d ever say I’m looking forward to our next nail trim.

Me and my finnicky aussie loved our trip to oh paws and can’t wait to come back! Mark is an expert and a kind one, too. My dog is 7 years old and I can confidently say this was the best, and only enjoyable, nail trim of his life. Will be returning for many more!

I have already posted a 5 star review for Mark, but I’m submitting another. My dog has gotten more and more difficult to handle in the year+ that I’ve been taking her to Oh Paws (monthly). Mark impressed me yet again this time with his willingness to adapt , and simply find a process that works to get the job done in a way that causes less stress for my absolutely neurotic dog. A person’s ability to go with Plan B is a necessity in this life, IMHO. Mark’s Plan B is way better for my dog than any grooming she has had in the past.

We rescued two huskies recently who you can say have some baggage and certainly not a lot of or good experience with getting their nails trimmed. My fiancé and I have tried to trim their nails but it has been a stressful experience and we knew we didn't have the skill to get their nails where they needed to be.Upon initial online search, we came across Mark. His 5/5 stars are spot on - he was amazing!! Not only does he do a fabulous job at nail trimming, but his knowledge, experience and the way he connected with our dogs was incredible. Mark is a true professional and we are definitely returning. After our first visit I'm already hoping he never retires :) We could not recommend him enough.

Mark is amazing. My dog does not liked being touched or manipulated and Mark knew exactly how to handle him in a way that balanced assertiveness with positive reinforcement. He didn't back down when my dog repeatedly tried to bite him (wearing a muzzle!). I look forward to bringing my dog regularly simply so that we can practice him being touched. The nail trims are a bonus!

I am BLOWN away with the quality of Oh Paws and the care they gave my dog. They genuinely love animals and their work shows. My dachshund’s nails have never looked better, and I’ve never seen her so calm both during and after a nail trim. Mark is a true expert and your dog will be better for it. Mark (aka Oh Paws) is absolutely the best. He is so kind and patient with our dogs. They LOVE HIM and it took awhile, but even our nervous husky mix is excited to see him. He goes above and beyond to fit us in, give grooming advice, and trim all 18 nails (36 with our 2 dogs) to perfection. Both humans and dogs look forward to our appointments and we would never take our pups anywhere else. Be sure to check out the doggie supplies in the shop too. We are so grateful to have such a loving, attentive person care for our dogs. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

My dog HATES having her paws touched, let alone getting her nails trimmed. It’s so bad that my vet can only get them short while she is under anesthesia so I would try to do it myself but it caused me as much stress and anxiety as it caused her. I honestly didn’t have much hope that she was going to let Mark trim her nails. I was shocked! Mark was so gentle with her and did an excellent job. She accepted that her nails were getting done and decided she might as well enjoy the treats being offered by Mark’s assistant. Best $20 I have ever spent and will be on a regular maintenance schedule so it becomes a little easier for my dog every time. Thanks to Mark and the rest of his family. I left the shop feeling very relieved that I can get my dogs nails trimmed stress free.

Everything about Mark and his business is the definition of excellence. Words in a review cannot fully describe what I mean. Worthy of 5 stars times 5. He goes way beyond trimming pet nails. I’d absolutely stake my reputation as a person and avid lover of all dogs on this recommendation. I find it hard to believe that there could be anyone who is better at what he does, let alone for an unbelievably reasonable price.

Mark is an absolute treasure and his level of commitment to caring for our deaf dog who doesn't like to be touched is unparalleled. He is undeterred when she snarls and tries to bite at him through her muzzle and he patiently completes her services even when she's throwing an epic tantrum. Mark is incredible. My 8-yo pittie mix, Blue, HATES having his nails trimmed. I've tried everything — clippers, dremel, giant emery board, the works. I've never felt comfortable taking Blue to a groomer because of how dog-reactive he is. Blue's nails had gotten so long, I'd kind of lost hope about it. Mark's reassuring demeanor helped keep Blue (and me!) calm. Blue yipped a little but mostly tolerated the experience. He was calm and happy at the end, and he's already walking better. Best $20 I've ever spent; I would have paid twice as much. Mark also noticed some injury to Blue's ears (which I had been concerned about) and provided an ointment to help. Mark also had a strategy to let us leave through a back door so that Blue wouldn't have to see any other dogs. Mark is an absolute legend, and Blue and I will be driving across town for nail trimmings at Oh Paws every month from here on out.

Oh Paws is great for dogs fearful of nail trims. Before coming here, I had to literally wrestle my Great Dane to the ground to even get close to his paws with a clipper. Mark is able to get great results in a quick and safe manor, utilizing his skill with a dremel tool. Worth every penny

We'd been procrastinating on trims after too many bad / super stressful experiences at our regular groomer. After hearing about Oh Paws we booked an appt, and it was the truly the best experience. Mark took time to made Charlie feel comfortable with pets, lots of treats, and worked quickly to get him in and out without it feeling rushed. Such a relief to have a place to come where we can build rapport and know Charlie is cared about and well taken care of. Thanks Mark!

This shop is such a cute and needed addition to Belmont. They have hundreds of great skin & coat products as well as toys, leashes, you name it! And a fair amount from NW companies. Mark is a wizard with the dogs, who all hate nail trimming yet he does it with ease. If you have dogs you need to stop by or make an appointment, you won’t be disappointed.

Our sweet Tommy boy is timid around loud noises and when at vet appts but was at ease with Mark. Mark was gentle, caring and his partner had plenty of treats to keep Tommy's mind off of the trimming going on. Our little dude can get quite scared and he didn't blink an eye. We have found our forever nail trimmer. Highly recommended!
