GREAT SELECTION OF TREATS- my dog is picky about treats so buying a package of new treats doesnt always work for us. Thankfully the shop had a whole bunch of bulk options available in displays by the windows. We definitely enjoyed browsing at all of the little things. We love this kind of shopping experience. Lots to look at and learn about.Staff was welcoming and helpful.I was very I pressed at the amount of food options available in the fridges (see photos of lists).We picked up just a handful of treats which my dogs liked. They especially liked the round little liver treats that looked like tiny hockey pucks. 😊We appreciate the hospitality of the staff and selection that Healthy Pets NW has to offer.

I really wanted to like this shop. I had a rocky experience arranging a periodic food order with them. I visited the shop in person, set up an account, and placed the order for a 10lb bag of dog food for 3 weeks in advance. Fast forward to pick up date (Friday), there was no food to pick up and the explanation I was given was that there was a delay with the vendor and it will be ready the following Tues (4 days later). So I purchase a smaller bag to hold over in the mean time. Tuesday I walk in. No food ready. This time the supervisor told me that the order was never actually placed when I came in 4 weeks prior and I'm fact was placed just days prior upon my Friday visit. Again I purchase a smaller bag to carry over for the next 7 days. Every step along the way I was every excuse and no productive ways to fix the issue at hand. I had to take initiative on the conversations with staff and ask questions. The staff could not even bother to look at me while speaking. Even though the specialty food our dogs need has very few vendors I will definitely be giving my money to a company that is reliable which is not Healthy Pets NW.

So lucky to have this awesome shop in our neighborhood! Friendly and helpful staff, loyalty rewards, great selection. Also, the owner Barb is pretty much the coolest person you could ever know. Pepper would give it 10 stars if she could! Thanks for being part of our community ❤️

Can’t get enough of this place; friendliest employees and great inventory, always changing up what they have and where it’s at, so every visit is as fun as your first :) Our nervous rescue loves coming in here and pulls towards the store during our walks, she knows she gets showered with treats every time. My personal favorite bit about the store is the fact that they are an authorized Ruffwear dealer, so they can (and will) special order any item you’d like, and hold it for you until you can pick up. Stop in and treat your pup (or cat) to some goodies!

I walk here with my dog all the time...I ask her if she "wants to go to the store" or "go to the cookie shop" and she knows exactly what's up. This place is great, they carry everything healthy my dog and cat love and everyone that works there is incredibly helpful and friendly. They taught me the proper way to feed my cat (who knew cats need WAY more protein and water than dogs?). I find that the prices are competitive and surprisingly affordable, and the rewards program they have is great!

The employees were very respectful and sweet. One of them helped me pick out the perfect dog treat. And they actually advised against putting a tag on a flea collar. Good thing they were honest cause my dog already lost her flea collar again! Thanks guys!

This is a wonderful pet shop with a huge variety of items. They are very fairly priced! The quality of pet food they carry is far above any other store I've been to and the staff is very helpful.My cat was suffering from some digestive issues and the clerk recommended a number of wet foods and additives to help him. Both of the items I purchased had no preservatives or artificial ingredients that might upset his stomach more. Happy to say he's doing well and all digestion is "moving" as it should be! Haha.

Great selection of natural pet foods, and lots of supplies and "accessories" for your furry friends. I have only ever needed to shop there for my cats and dog, so I can't speak to their selection for other pet species, but I have always found what I need. My pets love the wholesome food and treats we buy here, and I love the friendly and helpful service.

This store is fantastic. I’ve been coming here for two years and consistently, there are friendly, thoughtful, and knowledgeable staff eager to help. I’ve yet to have a bad interaction. They also are knowledgeable about sourcing of their food products.Our 4 year old pup appreciates you too!

They carry SO many amazing foods, healthy treats, local goods, and frozen raw bones! My dog LOVES coming in to greet the staff, and the lovely people who work here are kind, considerate, helpful, and learned my dog's name quickly! I love the feel of this store, and they carry incredible products.

Even special ordered a particular treat my pup came home from the breeder with. Only took a few days. Next time I came in to order more they were already on the shelf.

Really great store with a wide variety of products. They offer typical pet supplies plus more natural alternatives and have knowledgeable staff who can help you make an informed decision and ultimate purchase. Love coming here instead of the big chain stores.

Even though I've already gave them 5 Stars I have to change this review. Five stars is not enough. Not only is this one of the few places I can buy the only food I feed my dogs at a very reasonable price, not only is there a whole host of smiling faces every time I come in, but today I noticed the sign on the door making sure everyone knew that EVERYONE was welcome here. It stopped me in my tracks. Not only does this place love all animals, but they also love all humans. As long as I live in the Portland metro area this will be the only place I buy my dog food!!

Local family-owned business carrying products unavailable at big supply-chain stores, and healthier and smarter to boot. Staff was helpful and informative when certain brands ceased to make the cut for health and quality. Mood is always light and staffers pick good music for their quiet PA system.

Great selection for a local pet shop and not overpriced like some! Pretty big inside, too. Like most pet stores, it's geared toward dogs n cats, but they have a decent small animal section, of which my rabbit definitely approves!

Friendly staff, with lots of good options. Went in last week. You can't look through the storedue to COVID setup but you can wait inside in front section and they can grab stuff for you. I would recommend plus the staff was really helpful and put a great foot forward.

A great spot to visit for specialty pet food, treats, and toys. The staff is very friendly, and they have a wide selection of primarily dog and cat stuff. If you're looking for merchandise for other types of animal companions, your options may be better somewhere else. Otherwise, I highly recommend any of Healthy Pets NW locations.

This is really a fun wonderful trendy Boutique dog and cat store with lots of cool stuff to check out. Excellent collection of dog food and cat food especially Raw two refrigerators of it. It's a bit of a drive but I like going down there and seeing what's new

Took my dog into the Multnomah Village store for a teeth cleaning with no anesthesia. The tech who did the work was Bionca. She did a marvelous job and was done in approximately one hour. My dog had not had his teeth cleaned for several years and his breath was horrible. (all my fault). His teeth are beautiful and the bad breath is gone. Instead of a vet bill for 535.00, Bionca did the cleaning for $ 165.00 My dog is about 10 and I am leery of the anesthesia approach that is the norm with vets and they love to pad the bill by pulling teeth. No more vet cleaning work for me. Bionca is very nice and personable and loves her work. Give her a try and save yourself a wad of money......you will like the result. She is at the store the first and third Thursday of each month and also does cleanings in the St. Johns area. Call store for appointment.

Love this place. The people know their products. The stuff here is more expensive than what you find at Petco or the supermarket, but my cats love the food here so much more than what I used to get them at the big chain stores. Also it's a more local business than buying this stuff onine.

I did not personally go in, because only 2 customers are allowed at a time. It was relayed to me that you have to tell the staff what you want and they will get it for you. Good prices though, from what I can tell based on the one item we purchased there.
