I came to this thrift store since I had a donation appointment on 01/02/24. I have been to this thrift store numerous times to donate and shop and each time staff are always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I found and bought 2 small cat trinkets $1.99 each , 1 dog book $1.99, 1 women's Columbia fleece zip up sweater that looked brand new for $7.99, and $0.50 cat bell : ). Plus, knowing the items I donated and purchased is going to help CAT Adoption Team in Sherwood. Keep up the awesome work! Thank you for all you do for the cats!

We loved seeing the cat for adoption and the wall of cat alumni was super cute. They had a large selection of women's clothing and it was fun to shop around. I wish the kitchen section was larger but understandable that it wasnt.

I’m a pretty intense thrifter, just for my own stuff not a reseller, and I was really impressed by the selection and the prices were pretty reasonable especially compared to some other independent thrift stores. Lovely employees, clean and well organised. Will definitely make a habit of stopping by!

Went in to just to buy a lamp, and walked out with the aforementioned lamp plus a couple of beautiful framed and signed prints of eagles, birds I once worked with some years back. The prices at CAT Thrift Store are very reasonable, their stock a cut above, their staff friendly, and... cats, you gotta love cats. The prints shown in the picture are in perfect condition, and any errant marks are simply reflections in the glass when I made the photo.

I like the store and shopping there, but they are pretty resistant to accepting donations without an appointment which causes me to donate some nice stuff elsewhere at times. I have had 1-3 grocery bags of nice clothing which they refused to allow me to donate since I didn't have an appointment! I could understand on large donations needing an appointment. Given when I go in there they usually aren't overwhelmed with clothing, it's surprising they can only accept donations with appointments. When I go through stuff, the room I store it in is small and I like it out of here asap, so I guess I will need to donate my stuff to the Goodwill since they don't require an appointment. It surprises me that they aren't more interested in having things to sell there, but it is their right to refuse donations and my right to chose to now donate to a place that I don't have to schedule an appointment in advance.

My fiancé, and I walked into this place because she wanted to see what they were selling. She said that she liked a plate because it was handmade. The ceramic glaze did melt to the base of the plate, but I was willing to buy it for her.I went to the counter, and wanted to set it down so that I could purchase other items that my fiancé wanted. The guy suggested a basket, but I wasn't interested in carrying a basket around the store. A woman promptly grabbed the plate, and stuck it in a basket as soon as I turned around to see what else my fiancé wanted (as if it was an inconvenience being on the counter by the cash register). It was put in the basket so quickly, and with such force that it seemed apparent that I upset the woman working (who I didn't see until I was heading back towards my fiancé).I could tell that I wasn't welcome there, and that our desire to look for more things didn't interest the staff. I gladly grabbed the plate, put it back where I got it, and walked out the door (never to return). This is not a place that is interested in customer service. If you want to feel welcome go anywhere else. You will be gladly accepted better than we were at this place. Showing an attitude to a customer is extremely unprofessional.

EDIT: resolvedI came here because I thought it was a nice shop oriented around serving the local community and I wanted to see some cats. I saw a picture on their Google listing of a sign saying they welcomed diversity so I figured they might be kind people too. I was wrong on all counts. There were 3 or 4 employees inside all standing behind the counter talking to each other. I browsed for a bit and selected one item. I brought it to the front and asked to put it behind the counter while I shopped so I wasn't just walking around with it. The employee I asked snatched it from my hand, slammed her hand down angrily on an unmarked stack of black baskets up at the counter and said, "we'll hold ONE thing, use a basket for the rest." This, like everything else they said to me, could have been communicated kindly and was not.I was looking for the cats and when I finally found them I realized they were all locked in one tiny room and weren't being socialized. There was a sign on the door that should have said something professional like "Cat visitation available to potential adoptive parents only." Instead it said something rude along the lines of "Anyone who's ACTUALLY interested in adopting a cat can speak to an employee about meeting one."After a bit more browsing I go to ring out and the cashier was very curt and dismissive when I tried to make conversation, no effort at basic common decency or customer service, just rushing to get me out the door. Then I searched for the "we welcome everyone" sign I saw from the pictures. I found the tape where it had been hanging: it had been taken down. I went inside to ask about it, one employee turned completely around and walked away from me while saying "don't know not my problem i just started working here" and the other one offered only empty apologies and no explanation. This is clearly a practice she learned from her manager, because when I spoke to the manager about my issues, her answers were equally rude and dismissive.I asked her about the sign wording: "I'm sorry you think the sign is rude, you're taking it the wrong way" and no genuine apology. I asked her about the diversity sign that used to be TAPED to the window. She very condescendingly told me it "fell" down recently, gave a completely fake and empty apology, and offered no explanation as to where the sign went or put any effort into putting it back up. Looks like their "support" of the community was performative from the start to get them more money.Their response to critical feedback they don't want to hear can be seen right here on their reviews. Go to any negative review and you'll find the manager dismissively saying something like, "darn that sucks, sorry you felt like that was a poor experience" or "im sorry you felt like my employees were acting unprofessional" avoiding all accountability and offering no attempt to improve or change. If your apologies are going to be hollow and your attitude towards customers condescending, you shouldn't be in customer service. I'd rather them have just told me honestly, "yeah we no longer support those ideals so we took the sign down and it's not going back up." Don't apologize if you don't mean it, and don't claim to support a community if you're going to condescend and belittle them when they come to you seeking that very support.I hope the cats find safe loving homes where they have more than just one room to roam around in.EDIT: thank you I appreciate this follow up response and all of the clarification. Thank you also for changing the sign. We all have bad days and yesterday was one for everyone. Better for the community to remember we're all on the same side

I visited for my first time yesterday. Excellent selection of nice items at very reasonable prices, friendly & outgoing customer service, clean & organized store, and the best part was the visiting cat, Porky. ♡ I love that this store helps homeless kitties. I had to buy items & donate. They were just so wonderful! I wish I lived closer, but I will still be back!

Awesome customer service. Very clean and everyone was in a mask. There is hand sanitizer throughout the store and it smells really nice. The store has a wonderful walk flow. It was not hard to find the tags that were sale colors, which was refreshing. The lighting was our only complaint...it was...weird? It made items hard to see. Especially anything close to the windows. We did not see too many children's or plus size clothing. There was some, just not a lot. The named plants were adorable and the small cat themed knick-knacks were great. Overall we had a pleasant experience here and we will go back.

I enjoyed shopping here. The store was organized and clean. I do have to say that the clothing selection is lacking, but they did have a lot of books, jewelry, and house decorations. I did end up purchasing a nice vintage mock neck top for only $1.99 plus it benefits a wonderful cause. I will definitely be making this a regular stop for thrifting since it is close to my home!

I absolutely adore this thrift store! I've been an avid thrifter for years and wish I've encountered more stores like this one.Walking in, it is set up more like a boutique than a thrift store but the prices are fantastic! Much better than Goodwill. I can walk out of there with 7-9 pieces and not even break $40. Plus, it benefits a great cause that I hold dear.I really wish this was closer to where I live. But this a definite stop for me anytime I'm in the Portland area.Keep up the great work guys!

Wowwowow I literally just left here and my partner and I had a phenomenal experience. Really affordable, great clothing brands, tons of art, jewelry, and decor. The staff kept to themselves but were helpful and friendly. What really did it for me was the selection of plus size clothing (wouldn't say it was huge or anything, but if you're a plus size babe and you like to thrift for cute clothing you know the struggle) was quite decent. Great store layout, was easy to walk through even with our basket overflowing. Lots of good Covid precautions taken (dividers, social distancing signs, sanitizer, capacity limit) Only waited outside for about 2 minutes until being allowed in after another customer left. Cherry on top was the Irish Wolfhound named Luna (apparently a regular) that came in to make a round for pets.

This is a very worthy store for your quality donations - the store has a reasonable overhead with all the profits going to the charity. This is a wonderful store whose proceeds benefit cats. There's usually a kitty available for adoption at the shop. The store is very sweet - a nicely merchandised boutique. The prices are reasonable and the staff is super friendly. After just a couple visits they recognized me.There's a parking lot and it's easy to park in front.

How fun! Unbeatable prices and rewarding to find treasure in amongst all the other loot. I love that the proceeds go to a good cause. You wouldn't believe how long my friend and I spent there. We had a great time.

I was the only customer in the store, literally the only one. There were three employees in the store and not one of them greeted me, asked me if I needed help finding anything, or offered to show me some things I was looking at in the showcase. When I finally left, no one bothered to say anything to me on my way out the door either. Mind you, it takes me a good 15-20 minutes just to come to this establishment. This store often times has a nice selection of various Knick knacks and has some decent prices, but if that’s how they treat their Customers, (Black customers at that) then I definitely won’t be back. Such a horrible, horrible experience.

Came here to find a dress for a dance last minute, and found a great choice literally within the first 5 minutes! The pricing for clothes ranges from $5 to around $15. They have men and women’s clothes, accessories, furniture, knick knacks, books, vintage records, and many other things, including a cat up for adoption at all times. Love what the CAT foundation did here :) Truly a great find!

Excellent thrift store with an excellent mission! The store is very clean, neat and well organized! It is much better than Goodwill or Salvation Army and is much more responsible than either one of them too! I found a sweet 1950 hand mixer that I love! I will definitely go there and take all of my donations there.

This is my most favorite thrift store in the Beaverton/Portland area. And it benefiting the cat team helps me rationalize my shopping addiction. I can always find cool stuff there for very reasonable prices. Would recommend to anyone who is in the market for getting the most bang for their buck and supporting a great cause.

The store is absolutely wonderful! I went with my mom a few weeks ago and the prices were nice. There weren't any cats at the time due to complications with covid-19 but either way the store had welcoming staff and it was quiet and calm. Thank you to the staff for being so nice!

This place has cute stuff and I want to support CAT Adoption Team so I keep donating there, but I cannot express how much I loathe that they still require appointments for donation drop off. Apparently it "works better for everyone" but if it weren't for my love of their mission I would rather donate *literally* anywhere else.

Great selection of amazing quality women's clothes, shoes and handbags, purses, plus wide selection of books. There are kitchen wares, and often collectable household knickknacks. A BIG plus.is that all profit benefits the Cat Adoption Team shelter. No kid stuff or big furniture. Nice selection of lamps and lampshades too. Eclectic, often cat themed wall art. Cool staff.

Great variety of clothes, books, kitchenware, and interesting knickknacks. They usually have a store cat that is available for adoption by the cash register. It's always nice to say hi to the cat of the week. They usually have leashes and harnesses for dogs for cheap. Bathroom and the rest of the store is often very clean and well organized.

I feel so good about donating my stuff to this organization! They have saved a lot of kitty lives (including the cat we adopted from them). It's a worthy cause, and I appreciate that the money is used for actual good work and not to fund a ceo's million dollar salary (ala Goodwill). The store itself has a nice variety of items, at fair prices.

The staff is most friendly and helpful. The store is a treasure chest full of quality bargains. New items are added everyday and there are 25 &50% off sales. The best part is 100% of all sales benefit the Cat Adoption Team. Way Cool.
