It is a small little aquarium fish store. Owner is super nice and friendly. He has a lot of floating plants and java moss, great for baby guppy and shrimp to hide. Price for aquarium supply was awesome! Will I go there again? Definitely!

Cute little fish store in Portland, OR. They have a variety of plants and fish. I got some duck weed and a mystery snail when I went here. Friendly staff. Alot of beautiful guppies and bettas and a large quantity of mystery snails.

I love finding shops like these. The owner has a great personality with loyal customers who appreciate his knowledge and experience. Bought a few plants that put others to shame in terms of quality as well as quantity. I'll definitely be going back.

Best aquatic store in town. Owner is VERY knowledgeable and always willing to answer any questions you have. He’s never condescending about any topic and never tries to sell you something you don’t need. For sure our go to place for our aquarium needs.

You walk into a little aquarium store. Look around. Nothing fancy. Until you notice the health of the fish on display. And the fish are all a bit more exotic. The colors are brighter.Then check out the plants. All kinds of plants. My aquarium looks like a garden. The tank is only 3 months old. It will be gorgeous in a year.Gary owns the joint. He knows about all of it. Whatever it is. He’ll steer you in the right direction.Take your time is that shop. *Mainly freshwater. NaCl-H2O ain’t my bag.

It was our first time there last week. The owner of the store helped us out, he is very knowledgeable about everything you need to know about aquarium fish (fresh water & salt water)He gave us a lot of insights of how to take care of our pet fishes and how to manage and take care our fish tank properly.Honestly, I’ve learned a lot from him and bought new plants and fish. I followed his instructions and so far the plants I bought are thriving. We will def be going back again. Highly recommend this place!

Will definitely be back here! Not a huge shop but the tanks are so beautiful and clean- like a fish resort. You can tell this guy loves the hobby. He was happy to chat and answer all my questions about setting up a new planted tank. No pressure to hurry up or attemp to upsell me- just the opposite really as he let me buy some fluorite by the pound so I didn't have to get a whole huge bag.

I really like this place. This guy is informative and helpful and I have never felt like I was being sold things I didn’t need. He helped me solve multiple aquarium issues. He spent a fair amount of time talking it out with me and even gave me discounts on what I did purchase. I will definitely come back.

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST IN TOWN! The owner has so much passion for what he does and it shows. If you want a genuinely wholesome experience where you can get really awesome fish and learn the ropes of taking care of them, this is the best place to start. Sadly the place around the corner had set me up for failure selling me an incomplete kit that killed one of my fish. This store would never. Thanks for such amazing service !

I found more in-depth advice for treating my sick betta than any other place i was inquiring. Plus some maintenance items in stock that aren't being sold or are often out of stock at other aquatic stores in the area.

I had a great experience in here today. Down to earth owner who spoke regular English to me instead of throwing the Latin name back at me every time I asked about a cherry shrimp or fish. The prices were so good that I will always go there first. I wish I would have known about this place earlier. I would definitely recommend stopping here first, get a great price on plants and shrimp and even wood. Then go to the other stores for anything you can’t find here.

Great, personable option compared to other aquarium stores in the area. Both times I have gone in I have been very happy with the friendliness of the shop owner (I feel bad for not remembering his name), the knowledge he can share, and his excitement for keeping and managing an aquarium. The selection may not match up to the other local aquarium shop but the quality of fish/plants and knowledge of the craft more than make up for it.I will continue visiting Aquatic Maintenance for future aquarium needs!

This is the PLACE, people go to this store. He knows his aquatics, he will always recommend the true stuff one looks for in the hobby/your tank. We talk about fish species, plant types, shrimps, and water (ph and temp). Don't be afraid to ask/talk. Even though I have been in the fish hobby since a kid. It's great to talk to another fish expert.

looking for the store that has plants that are healthy not available anywhere else then go here. store is rebuilt . the fish all looked healthy just they would not be happy in my tanks. The red cherry shrimp colony with some very nice colors and priced under 3 bucks some very prettys ones are under 2 bucks.you dont know its shrimp cause its a sea of red till you look. shopping for them was fun.

Never knew about them till I stopped in and I'm glad I did. They are so friendly and have beautiful fish I didn't find at a few larger stores. Salt water selection is all the fish you actually want not some filler minnows. I also have a AFRICAN only tank and was able to pick up up a few healthy adults. Recommended by me.

My family and I have been into Gary's store a couple of times now. I can say whole heartedly that visiting this place was one of the best aquarium experiences I've ever had the pleasure of. Everyone should check out his excellent selection of fish, both salt and fresh. His plants are also killer biller, yall. Love it.

Support Small Businesses! - For high quality aquascape plants for better prices I definitely recommend here over The Wet Spot. Owner will also test your water for you and help you get your tank successfully set up. I do recommend quarantining plants received or doing an alum dip.

Went there for the first time last month. Not a wide selection of fish but the prices are less than other fish stores. Down to earth fella who loves to tell fish stories and give you all the aquarium advice you want that Wet Spot doesnt give have the time to talk with you. Will come back.

Came down from Seattle owner is very helpful. Very good details if in need of advise to questioning what you really want to build. I spoke about betta and sure enough i will be back to pick up some once the betta is set up. Other then that very good deals along with heathy fish.

Went here for a aquarium date, as there are no aquariums in the area. Almost better then a real aquarium because of just how densely all the fish are packed. Wonderful time
