Friendly staff, had everything ready upon arrival. Room clean and ready to occupy. Ocean view was perfect.Wish there was a "privacy sheer" as the public can see in the room with blackout curtains closed. Be nice to each the ocean during the day without an audience.Food & drinks: Pelican brewing/restaurant is 2nd to none.

The enchantment of our Easter weekend was topped by the unconditional love and support of our beautiful purple haired friend who rescued our baby when he did his Houdini magic and escaped the room by opening two doors and on a quest to find his loving humans he has dedicated his service to. Thank you for a beautiful weekend with the pristine song of the Oregon coast and the love that vibrates amongst us all. Thank you again our purple haired girl!

Super nice, friendly, and accommodating! Our stay couldn't have been better. We will absolutely come back. I had been stressed at work so at around 1pm I called and made a reservation for that very same night. They put us in a room that (in my opinion) had the best view of the coast. It was super relaxing and we have found our "go to spot" at the coast. As someone who has traveled all around the world I truly think this was the best bang for my buck hotel experience I've ever had.The staff was awesome, location couldn't be better, they had movies you could borrow, bikes, recommendations, and next door a small fitness center. We had such a great time. If you're deciding where to stay, these guys deserve every dollar they ask. They also had super fast internet which was really nice.Safety: Coming from Portland it was nice to be able to walk at night.Walkability: Close to everything you'll need.Noteworthy details: Location was perfect. Everything was clean. Staff was extremely nice and welcoming.

Great view of the ocean from every room. Employee was very friendly. Bathrooms a little outdated but comfy. Especially nice to have market right next door and coffee shop downstairs. We would definitely stay here again. There’s also a brewery restaurant across the street.Noteworthy details: There is a pool and gym you get access to. They are across the street. My husband tried to use the gym but was told it was lock and only maintenance had a key so he was bummed about that.

The staff was nice, our room was lovely and it was an overall great stay. The few downfalls were that bed was a tad hard for my comfort, the fan in the bathroom didn’t work and I had to wash the bathroom floor 5 minutes after we arrived because there was some kind of spots all over it. Bleach probably won’t get the dirt stains out of the washcloth I had to use. Sad, but it didn’t ruin our anniversary.

This is the ideal location for a family vacation hotel, right across the street for one building and right on the beach for the other. The rooms are comfy and serve the purpose. If you are a surfer, they are the best as you can wake up to the sound of the waves, spend the day on the water, and then fall asleep with the surf singing in your ears. The beach is beautiful and makes up for the break not being the best. I recommend giving this place a stay next time you are vacationing in the area. You never know what you will find. There were camels on the beach last time we went!

Great hotel, great location. Free movies, free bike rentals, free beach chairs, free cookies. You didn't hear it from me but free beer from the lady at the check in. She (sorry don't know her name) was wonderful, great at check in, had lots of info to attractions, another day was great with lending us bikes, that we drove around through out the neighborhood and checked out lots of trails. The rooms are huge, and definitely arranged with thought. There was a place for your suitcases, lots of drawers and places for your junk. Actually had fast Wifi. Coffee shop on location was great. Had their coffee special each day. Tidal Wave Mocha. We had a great room too, sit out on the balcony, was right in line with the Haystack Rock, we watched the people walking by, and the beach parking debacle. Was great cause we could just get our chairs, walk across the street and hit the beach. Can't beat the location. What a great place.

I loved staying here! Stayed here in February. The view was amazing, room was clean, theres games, movies, and the staff was friendly. Split the cost 4 ways for 2 nights so personally I think it was a great price for what we got. Ocean view!! Right across the beach, maybe a 1 minute walk, and right next to a little store which was very convenient if we wanted snacks or drinks.

Beautiful! One of my families favorite spots to stay on the way back home from camping. We love the close proximity to the sand "mountain", amazing trails, scenery, eateries. The rooms are lovely, clean, and look out on to the ocean. The hotel staff are absolutely wonderful and they offer many different amenities such as; bikes, sand toys, beach towels and chairs. THEN to top it all off, they have the most delicious Cafe attached to the hotel. I recommend trying all the haystack cinnamon bun, specialty coffee s, and...well honestly... just try everything.

We had a fantastic time at the Inn at Cape Kiwanda. The staff was warm and welcoming and check in was fast and easy. The room was perfectly clean and felt spacious. We were on the third floor and the views were incredible. They have tons of amenities, coffee maker in the room, nice sized refrigerator, wine glasses AND a corkscrew!!! We had forgotten ours and had brought wine, so I was super happy with that extra touch. We were in King room with a Sofa Bed an did easily fit myself, my wife, and 2 kiddos with room to play. It was really the exact arrangement we were looking for. Access to the beach was a 2 minute walk and the views were great. Plenty of places to walk and climb along the beach and dunes near by.Overall, I highly recommend staying at the Inn at Cape Kiwanda and we will be back soon.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very welcoming and responsive but the location has it's drawbacks. It IS a nice view of the ocean across the street where a lot of fishing boats launch. Access to the beach is very easy. The location has limited access to restaurants nearby. There is no restaurant in the hotel. The Pelican Brewery is across the street but always very busy and usually has a waiting list and not open for breakfast. We drove into town both evenings or dinner but the restaurant choices there were quite limited too.The hotel itself was nice with a few issues. Our sliding door to the deck would not open so, to their credit, they did send up a guy to clean out the rails so it would slide again. Still not perfect but at least we could open it. I used the stairs a few times during my stay and it had a weird smell and the carpet was very dirty. Not very appealing.Like I say, overall, we enjoyed our stay but I probably won't stay there again considering the price.

We booked 2 nights in spa room enjoyed the room. staff is very friendly and pleasant has great view. Only complaint we booked a couple months in advance at over 300 a night. Then day before coming see prices for all the rooms were about $100 cheaper for same weekend than back when we booked our reservation and we were still charged the high rate. Other than that enjoying our stay.

What we liked about our stay:- We love that we just need to cross the street to go to the beach.- The staff were really friendly and accommodating.- The complimentary movies and popcorn were a good touch.- The complimentary bike rental was great. What would’ve made our stay better:- The room was not very clean when we checked-in. There were trashes behind the nightstand and wrappers of candy under the bed. The windows could’ve used some wiping to get a better view of the ocean.- A complimentary breakfast would be a good addition :) We dont mind paying extra $ for it.

Expected much better service for what we paid. Were there two days, towels should have been changed and coffee refilled at the very least. Front desk seemed totally clueless. We were there on Monday & Tuesday and didn't realize that most restaurants would be closed. This is peak season in a vacation location, someone could have told us it would be hard to find somewhere to eat, seriously 😒 We are very highly unlikely to book a night in Cape Kiwanda / Pacific City again and cannot recommend it as a destination.

Stayed here for a weekend with my husband and baby. Had a great experience, staff was very friendly and accommodating, all the rooms have an ocean view of Cape Kiwanda and Haystack Rock. Also one of the only pet friendly hotels on this part of the coast that still has a lot of quality. We loved going to get coffee from Stimulus Bakery located onsite and going to get food from nearby restaurants!

One of the most relaxing places I've been. The staff is quite friendly and accommodating. Very pet friendly. I love that the outside dog wash had warm water. The views from every room are amazing. Room was very clean. Loved the balcony. Great water pressure in the shower. Within easy walking distance to the beach. Highly recommended.

Here's the deal, the Oregon Coast is great pretty much anywhere you go what makes it a truly stellar experience is the location of the place you stay. The Inn at Cape Kiwanda in that respect cannot be beat. Across the street from the beach it's a 2 minute walk and you're enjoying the surf and sand. It also has all the services around it you could want. Full service coffee shop in the same building, 3 restaurants within 3 blocks and a convenience store next door. All ocean facing rooms with balconies and honestly what more could you want? Answer, nothing. You should stay here.

This was our second time staying here and we just love it. This time it was due to the customer service and helping us out with our gift certificate we bought pre-covid. They allowed us to use it 2 years after it was bought which we are very appreciative of. As always, the views are outstanding with a nice balcony to watch the sunsets from and the bed was comfortable. The coffee from downstairs at Stimulus is great and we just love this place.

My wife and I decided to take a trip to the Coast of Oregon and while hotel shopping on Hotels.com, we stumbled across this hotel. I must say, pictures can be very deceptive as we finally arrived here and contrary to the pics, we were at a dismay. Don’t get us wrong, the views are stunning of the ocean and rock formation, but the hotel is outdated by many years and needs serious modernization to fit the scenery. The room is of good size but lacks updating, it provides great views, but the lack of modernization kind of kills the moment. The television is another story, you only have one channel to view, very disappointing. They recommend that you purchase DVDs from them prior to entering the room, so, that was a bit curious and more than likely the reason why there is only one channel. (EDIT: after a few hours, I figured out the remote. You have to change the remote from TV to cable from component to HDMI which was initially confusing. And in order to turn off the TV you have to switch back to TV on the remote). The front desk and customer service was fine, the location is great, but I highly suggest you read the reviews before making a decision to stay here. Lastly, do not be lured by photos online, they can be deceptive, like cat fishing.
