I stayed here with my parents and our pups this weekend, it I would highly suggest this spot to anyone looking for a cute beach get-away. Cassie (I hope I'm spelling it right) was incredibly helpful and kind with booking and check-in. In my dad's words, "this place really goes above and beyond here, don't they?". 100% they do. It's far enough from the busy area that you don't have to deal with the crowds, but it's just a couple minute walk to get to the quieter part of the beach (just our vibe). And I love the vintage-y beach style of the rooms as well. Oh, and the pillows?! I haven't slept that well while away from home in a long time! Very comfy beds.

This motel is the best thing I've found on the Oregon coast.The location is surrounded by bakeries and a walk to the beach, the rooms are beautiful, the beds are comfortable, and the staff is professional; all at a price that puts other hotels to shame. I have paid so much more for worse rooms and fewer amenities, both at big chains and resorts.I just needed a place to stay for the night and now can't wait to go back. Thank you so much for running a business that makes me feel like I'm getting value out of every dollar I spend.Rooms: Beautifully decorated, climate controlled, suite had full kitchenette and dishes.Nearby activities: 5 minute drive from haystack Rock/Cape kiwanda. Perfect for surfers.Surrounded by 4 delicious bakeries/cafes.Walkability: Short walk to a few food options and beach access.Noteworthy details: Family business running itself professionally and proudly.

The owner of the hotel is fantastic and friendly. She even upgraded my room for free since there was one available. The only small suggestion I might be able to make is that it would be nice to provide conditioner along with the shampoo and body wash in the shower. Otherwise, this place is great and very affordable!Rooms: All of the rooms have been recently upgraded and look fantastic.Walkability: This is a great location! In a walkable distance to many shops and restaurants and the beach.Food & drinks: I was checked in and given an adorable little welcome bag with water, local candy, and snacks.

Our stay at the Anchorage Motel was top notch. Amazing family owned place to stay in Pacific City. My small family stayed in one of their cottages and it was the perfect family space that felt super cozy. Very personable experience from start to finish and we even received a phone call about an item that was left behind before we even got out of town. We will be staying here again!Walkability: You park your car right at the entrance of your room, and you can plan to leave it there unless you’re going across the bridge to the beach. We left our car at our room for the entirety of our stay and comfortably walked the entire time we stayed.Food & drinks: Meg’s Beachwood, Sportsman’s Bar and Grill, Pinnacle 365, Los Caporales, Village Coffee Shop, Cold Water Coffee, and even more all within walking distance.

The manager was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!The customer service was EVEN BETTER!!!I thought I reserved a room but it wasn’t completed. MY FAULT!!!I arrived AFTER the office closed. The manager/owner opened up the office so I could check in. He explained, ‘Everywhere near town is booked and u NEED a room.’The rates are excellent. The rooms r neat, clean, and comfortable.

We had a great last-minute stay this weekend, and the staff was especially fantastic. I made an error in booking by not reading the website thoroughly, and while the mistake was entirely my fault, they accommodated me and helped me problem solve so as not to disrupt our stay.The room was recently updated, and they did a great job. It was clean, had towels, soaps, etc. so we didn’t have to go out and grab any necessities. The washer/dryer was a great feature, and we loved the little fireplace.We will definitely be return guests!

The Anchorage Motel offers a great family environment, conveniently located within walking distance to almost anything you could need while visiting.The rooms were great, and the fact the motel itself is family run, allows for those extra little personal touches that make this place 5 star all around.Rooms: We stayed in the pet friendly Family suite. With 2 seperate bedrooms and a sofa bed, it was a great option for us (2 adults and 3 children).They had a dog bed, along with extra blankets in the closets to add another layer of cozy comfort for everyone.Nearby activities: Close to the beach, great burgers and even the local tattoo shop.Walkability: Most shops are in walking distance. The only place we really would've needed to drive to would be pelican brewery.I had a nice coffee, walk on the beach and got a tattoo all within less than 5 walking minutes of our room

I loved everything about this place. It was cute and cozy. It was close to the beach, shopping ares, and restaurants. The hotel has a full kitchen and enough room for 3 gals who were catching up. Beds are comfortable and roomy. Bathroom was clean. The staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely book again.Walkability: Tons of nearby areas to walk to. We also walked back from the beach and it was a great little workout.

My room was small, and had no work space. Outlets were not accessible near the bed. Those were the only "cons". Hosts/owners were super nice and helpful. Linens, towels, and mattress were excellent. Location was great. Everyone gets a little welcome gift bag which isn't necessary, but sure was nice! Recommend the Beach Walk restaurant if you end up staying at the Anchorage - which I would certainly do again.

This is a beautiful city! This motel is clean and we slept great. We rented the king family suite - no pets. The beds are very comfortable and the location is quite. We are a family of 4 and all have different reasons we’re difficult sleepers. The room was very clean and stocked with most of what you need to prepare meals in the room. Very nice linens and pillows. As a mom of two young children (4 and 6) I’ll mention just a few things people with young people might want to know. The two separate rooms don’t have doors but privacy curtains instead. There isn’t a dining spot that fits more than 2 people. Maybe some TV trays would be a good addition to the room. We will rent again on another family coast vacation. The staff are friendly. Some of signs around the suite are off putting but i imagine there is a reason behind them (maybe there are visitors who actually destroy linens and sneak pets into a pet free room). The signs clear identify the cost to such destructive behavior. Also no bath possible in the bath tub as so plug or faucet.

This is an excellent place to stay. The family owners are outgoing and extremely helpful and caring about making you feel welcome. They gave my wife and me a welcome gift and our dog received one as well.The motel was built in 1935. However, the owners have done an excellent remodel to bring in the best possible amenities considering the limitations of space.I always judge a motel by the quality of the towels. Those at the Anchorage were large, soft, and absorbent. Excellent value for the price.

This was a last minute trip. I came across this motel on line and checked it out. I called and asked them if they could accommodate 2 adults and a teenager plus 2 small dogs and they said yes we ended up getting the deluxe king suite. When you walk in there is a king size bed and a private bedroom with a queen size bed. Fully stocked kitchenette and bathroom. This room was perfect. Very clean comfortable beds and a very quiet place to just relax. The price was amazing for what you get. The staff was amazing and had smiles on their faces. We will be back it's our new favorite place to stay. Thanks for the amazing experience.

To start this review I want to clearly state that when I booked the room I thought I was booking a dog friendly room. It turns out that I misread the description. The owner of the property noticed that we left our dog in the room and told us that we had violated his policies by not reporting the dog and that we had 15 minutes to remove our stuff and get off the property before the Sherriff was called. The fact that we were removed from the property is somewhat understandable since they did not have another room to properly accomadate our dog. However, when I tried to explain that I made a mistake with the booking he called me a liar and a scammer multiple times. There is no reason you should ever talk to a customer this way. You don't know their circumstances. When I tried to calmly explain this to the owner he kept cutting me off. Also, the owner had a recording taken of the conversation which I would highly encourage him to publicly post. It will clearly state the accuracy of the statement I just made.

Super cute, very clean, perfect for a family of 3. The personal touch of the little goodie bag topped it off! We loved everything! We only stayed 1 night, but we were wishing we would have stayed for more nights! We will definitely stay there again.Nearby activities: If you want to see the ocean, enjoy the unique feel of a small coastal town, and enjoy surfing, this is a must see!Safety: Very quiet town, and cute little shops.
