Super well-kept campground, all paved spots, no gravel -- right on the Snake River. We liked it a lot, except for one evening out of three we stayed, the bugs were pretty bad. But it was great the rest of the time. There are many raft tours that start nearby after the Hells Canyon dam, but plenty of boating / fishing before the dam too.Caveat #1: If you need WiFi or Cell service, you will be out of luck, it's pretty bad. We didn't need it so no biggie for us. But don't try "Work from home" or "remote school" there.Caveat #2: there are no stores or gas stations for many miles around, so be sure to have a full tank before you get there, and a cooler with food. Fill up in the town of Halfway ~20 miles if you arrive from the West, or Cambridge ~20 miles if you arrive from the South. There is no North or East roads that go to this area, it's pretty remote.

Nice Campground along the Snake River. Park-like setting with hookups. Besure to bring all the supplies you will need as the closest grocery is 17 miles away. The camp host does not provide or sell firewood.

Fantastic Campground! Lush, green grass and immaculate sites. RV sites and tent sites. No full hook-ups, but elec and water at the RV sites. Walk down to the Snake River and do some fishing or just float. Sprinklers run every night so keep your belongings off the grass.

We stopped over for a night on our road trip and were super happy with the campground. The grounds are huge, well manicured and right against the Snake River. We tent camped and our space was very roomy and nicely set up with a paved parking spot, concrete picnic table, and a metal fire ring. Would love to stay here again.

I stayed in a tent only site & was the only one in the section. The tent sites are great because the parking spots are small enough that RVs & Sprinter vans won't fit so you won't find yourself next to a "dry camper" that proceeds to run their generator all day/night.There is an automatic sprinkler system that limits where you can set up your tent.If you tent camp in one of the hookup sites, you have to pay full-price & set your tent up on the pavement.Advertised cost is $20 to tent camp, with fees it's $21.70. You register at a tablet near the bathrooms. It feels a little sketchy if you're doing it in the dark. For RVs / trailers- when I was registering, I noticed it stated that the campground was developed before RVs were commonly over 30' long & before slide outs were common, so this could pose an issue for you. The tablet does help you try to find an appropriate site based on which side of your unit has slides. If you're a larger unit and/or have slides, the Idaho Power Campground at Hells Canyon Park may be more appropriate for you, although it's arguably less scenic- it is right on the river / reservoir but units are parallel parked on either side of the drive lane that accesses the tent area.Restrooms: Bathrooms are wonderful- nice smelling & plenty of TP!! They also have free individual shower rooms for campers to utilize.Dog-friendliness: I kept my dog on a leash

Beautiful campground. Easy water access. Water and electric hookups. No sewer hookup but free dumping station. Curb made parking a little difficult. Kiosk pay only and the iPad didn't work very well.

Very nicely maintained campground - big shade trees and green grassy areas. Came in handy in 100+ degree heat! Bill the camp host was super friendly and helpful. We had to adjust some dates and he was so helpful in getting us all set. He even recommended a great spot on the river to take the dogs swimming and beat the heat! Also a great spot to put tubes in to float down to a nearby boat launch. Gorgeous scenic areas nearby.Would stay there again - maybe not in July though!

The host is nice, restroom is very clean. If you RV here or have family reunion, this is 5 star campground. However if you just tent here and hope to have a quiet night to sleep and recharge, then its not for you. The quiet time was not reinforced, people were still having party/game after 10pm.

Copperfield campground is a nice and quiet place to get away if you don't want to be in a campground in or near a city. Also being right next to the river is nice and refreshing.

I ended up here on accident when I got a flat tire on my motorcycle. The guy working the campground was super nice and helped me find someone that had a tire patch and air pump. Thank you so much to the employees and the camper who saved the day!

Right on the Snake River. It is worth the trip to drive 23 miles downriver to the ranger station (which is also where the jet boats launch.)Restrooms: Showers too.

I have come almost every summer for over 10 years. This was a visitor around midnight. All the staff have been very helpful and pleasant.

Very nice clean park priced right. Only draw backs are that it's an older park and spaces tend to be short. Was a challenge with a 32ft fifth wheel and many spots weren't long enough. Also no sewer hookup. Good dump station.

Nice staff, and the tree cover and bathrooms were great, but the showers were closed due to not enough staff to clean them, a few of the electrical outlets at different sites were broken, and the grass (while nice looking) has a sprinkler system that goes off every few nights. Which means if you put anything on the grass it needs to be moved before or it's going to get soaked. That meant tents had to go on the pavement or behind vehicles on parking spots to stay dry in some sites. The grass is great, but tent specific spots that don't get watered, that are also not pavement, would be nice. There's plenty of space for it. Much of the grass doesn't even get used by campers because of this system. It just looks pretty.

We had a nice time. The park is beautiful and well maintained. Weather was colder than usual. The scenery is so pretty and we always get to see Deer and other critters. Very nice campground.

Tent site 3 didn't match the website or the description was way off. Got lucky that no one was in the site next to us so we can put out Tent up and not be right next to the person camping on our left. Building in day use is not a bathroom! Its an office building for the power company ( which has i think AC that makes noise all day) Its a long hike up in RV camp to the showers and restroom. Other issue is beside no shade the outhouse in day use was nasty over full and smelled the whole time a long with the fish/trash in the dumpster. If tenting the best sites are T9 , T6 T7 ... T6 looks the best. The other down fall... Is during a hot day (117). Cold shower would have been nice. Only hot showers.

We did not spend the night here, so we can't really comment on the full experience. But we did stop here to refill our fresh water in our camper on our way to Hell's Canyon. It looks like a nice campground, and it seems that a number of people use it as a home base for multi-day adventurers in the area. Particularly water adventures judging by the great number of water sports equipment and toys in many of the sites. The sites look level, and each has water and electrical, I believe. There is a RV dump on-site, but there is no fresh water at the dump. When we were there (Aug 2020), the bathrooms were closed, but porta potties were provided instead (all presumably due to COVID-19).

This campground is similar to a city park with the ability to park your RV or pitch a tent. There are about 60 RV spots with water and electricity hookups. At $16 per night, the rate is pretty good. But, it is a long drive to get there either through the mountains or through Oregon. The water nearby is running too fast to really do anything j the water. The recreation opportunities are pretty limited in my opinion.

Well maintained, quiet, nice park and campground. Good river access. Sammy's Supply nearby has surprisingly good selection for its location. Only complaint is tent site 10 has nearby irrigation sprinklers so don't put your tent next to the fence.

One of my favorite eastern oregon campgrounds, walking distance to the Snake river with river access. This is a full service campground.

Great campground. 2 negatives...#1.sprinklers for 3 hrs Sunday, Wednesday and Friday at dark. #2. Constant yard work in the afternoon kill the tranquility. BUT.. without the two negatives there would be fewer positives. Bill is the man!

Very nice shaded campgrounds with electric and water hookups. Clean bathrooms and showers. Not much in town and few hiking trails nearby. Easy launch point for touring dams and reservoirs. Great for early season with low altitude.
