The staff are extremely knowledgeable about caring for my Bearded Dragon. They have everything he needs (including gross bugs!) and provide helpful tips. And they love to see him when he comes with me and ask about him when I don't. I love the staff and the shop!

My youngest daughter, now almost 4 years, has recently become obsessed with animals and the notion of pets. We already have 2 shepherds and 2 cats so there's not a lot of room for growth. I recently pulled the old 10 gallon aquarium out of the attic and was pleasantly surprised by how well equipped we were to take on some fishy pets... I decided to start with a tour of some local pet shops. Which proved to be a bit of an adventure. Let shop culture is an interesting thing. There's a need for warm temps and high humidity, which often contributes to exaggerating the smells the go along with hosting hundreds of fish, birds, rodents, reptiles, etc...I don't judge the other shops we visited, but I have to say that I was truly impressed with the cleanliness and overall organization of this shop! Every single, cage and habitat was immaculate. Upon engaging with a couple staff members, I was impressed with the level of prowess regarding each critter we discussed. Ultimately left with a bag of vibrant and healthy fish. Will definitely be sending all of my pet supply and acquisition business to these folks from here forward.

I bought 5 angel fish from Petco. After 4 months, only one was still alive. It was miserable, barely lively enough to come out from behind its rock and feed. It clearly needed a companion if it was going to survive.I took the problem to the Animal House. The aquarium manager (I think his name was Aiden?) was so impressively knowledgeable and personable. We discussed the matter, and talked about options for companion species, plants, compatibility issues, etc. In the end, based on the aquarium guy's advice, I chose a single angel fish to introduce to the aquarium. This is an important piece of information in my opinion, because less scrupulous people would have just tried to sell me everything they could.Upon introduction to the aquarium, my existing angel came out of her shell and now they are both active and healthy. It's been 6 months. 100% survival rate to Petco's 20%, no change in aquarium management.Great service from knowledgeable people selling quality products.

I purchased a baby snake, a rare white python from this pet store. I spent over $800 to get the top of the line for his health and well being. After two weeks, he died of a rare snake breeding disorder that is KNOWN among bad breeding techniques for financial gains. The pet store refused to do anything about it. And this rare disease is common to people looking to scam customers, a good pet store finds good sources for it's customers. This pet store is horrible... it is worse than someone offering gambling tables where the dealer always cheats. This pet store should be sued for it's criminal and despicable actions towardsd animal cruilty. Purely frauding it's customers and then claiming it's not their fault. DO NOT SHOP HERE... even if it's just for some wood chips. The wood was violated in the procurement.

This Pet store is wonderful!! The pets and birds and critters are so well cared for here! They have people there with great knowledge of animals and pets! I just bought a green bottle blue tarantula from them. I also went back to bring home THE CUTEST rainbow Jackson chameleon!! (Named her ms. Rainbow Jackson ....chameleon with an attitude and awesome little personality). They had everything there I needed for my pets including knowledge to help me take good care of them!! If there were 10stars I would give them ten stars!! 💜💜

Tried to return a feeder mouse that my snake didn’t eat. It had been less than 24 hours. They refused to give me credit, but they did take it back to resell. Hmmmm?? They were giving me credit for the last year, but I guess not anymore. So Petco does take them back for 30 days, no questions.. I guess I’ll have to drive a little further to get the customer service I need.

The Animal House is my favorite store to take my son, who is 3 y/o. They are always very polite and welcoming. We bought a fish tank from them a couple months ago and are now back there every week to buy supplies or more fish. They treat their animals well and the habitats are always clean. They also have a great selection of stuff for our dog. They offer great discounts and I love the amount of coupons they send out. I always feel satisfied with how much I'm being charged.

I have bought Rats from this store for years with no problems. This past month I bought nine rats and five of them died from respiratory issues. The store offers no Health guarantee and refused to make any kind of adjustment. I'm sorry to say I will have to find another place to buy rats

This store has friendly staff alot to chose from. The prices are a touch high for what you get but in Oregon City they do not have a lot of options. Typically have bunnies, hamsters, kittens, fish an puppies all for sale. Great little shop

Extremely disappointing, I've been a dedicated customer for years, I WAS happy to pay more here than every other store around because I thought I was supporting a decent local business. My partner went to do a return today, and they didn't have $80 in cash to accomodate her. They magically found the cash when I showed up less than an hour later, odd. I will *no longer* be supporting or recommending this business, I would rather spend *LESS* for *BETTER* service elsewhere. Absurd.

Used to be my favorite pet store in town, but it has gone down hill. Most of the reptile supplies are more expensive than the big stores now and three times what you can get it online for. They no longer give credit for fish but they will take them for free and re sell them. Time to find a new pet shop!

Love this place. My kids gets so excited when we come here. The manager, Jordan is super helpful. His reptile room is amazing and the store is always clean. Can’t wait to go back and get some more things for our animals. Their prices aren’t bad either!

The short guy with gauges that works in the aquarium is consistently rude to customers. He wouldn’t let us get ghost shrimp (50 cents each) because they’re only for “nice fish” knocking on the fact that we have bettas. Then proceeded to say, “They’re harder than you think, not for beginners.” Those shrimp are literally purchased for other fish to eat— He said himself they’re at the BOTTOM OF THE FOOD CHAIN. We tried to get snails instead due to his resistance with the feeder shrimp, again turned us down and mocked us saying, “like I said, nice fish.” Snails are the most ideal tank mate for bettas, we did our research.Anyway, this is a common occurrence with him coming from regulars. He acts like a big shot, is condescending and unfriendly, and is bad for business in my opinion because he acts like nobody is worthy of “his” fish.
