Nyssa Mercantile True Value is a terrific store. Liz and her team are too notch. I have been into a fair number of hardware stores in my day and by far Nyssa Mercantile True Value is one of the best around. When you walk in, you are warmly greeted by one of their helpful associates. They always ask you if they can help you find something. Once you're in the store you'll find that it is very well organized, it's laid out well. They're always in stock on the items that I need. They have a phenomenal Garden Center. I love wandering around there seeing all the great garden stuff that they carry. I would highly recommend Nyssa Mercantile True Value to anyone. Weather your professional or a DIY person, you will find what your looking and won't be disappointed. Avoid the hassle of big box stores and shop local. Thank you Liz for running such an outstanding business.

Nice, well-stocked hardware store with that small town country feel. There's always someone offering to help you find your goods, yet they give you plenty of space to wander and explore, if that's what you prefer. They may charge a little more than the big box depot stores, but you can't beat their friendly customer service. Besides, wouldn't you rather support your hometown neighbors? Great store, owner, and staff, pretty much anything you could need or a way to get what you want done. Very knowledgeable and always willing to help you out, they will even recommend a sale product over a full price one. Great place to stay local with your purchases.

Nice little store, polite and helpful employees. Has well stocked and prices are in line with a small business but by the time I drive to Ontario I might as well support our local business that has quality brand name items. They have always been very helpful and when I have had to return something because it wasn't the correct size were very helpful with helping me find what I needed and refund me for the one I didn't. Fixing things in an older home sometimes is tricky, nice to have a hometown store I can count on for most of my projects.

I've lived in Nyssa for over 3 years, getting supplies from this store, and these guys are awesome. The owners and employees are absolutely lovely and the customer service is always great. One thing I do find a tad bit annoying are their prices. I've bought bamboo garden sticks from these guys the last 3 years and they've always been a lot more than the competition, which I've always been happy to pay to support a local business. This last time I went in to buy some and found the prices were a bit comical. I went to buy these small (2 ft) bamboo trellis sticks that come in a bundle of 10, and the price was $19.99 for 1 bundle. I'm sorry but this is almost hilarious for little mostly broken sticks of bamboo that can't cost more than a few cents to harvest, treat, and ship. A storm just rolled through Nyssa and I would have LOVED those little sticks as I had a few plants get destroyed, but I couldn't bring myself to pay over a %1000 percent surcharge for some mostly broken tiny pieces of bamboo. Will be going to Home Depot in Ontario for my bamboo needs from now on.

I'm a person with a compromised immune system. The woman in the garden center never wears her mask. A customer was going back to her car to get her mask and this clerk said "don't bother. We don't care. I have to wear one by state mandate but you don't. You don't need a mask." WHAT THE???She actually teied to talk a willing persob out of safety protocol. She's the sort who'swhy Malheur county keeps getting put back a phase.That sort of behavior tells a customer like me "we don't care about people like you"

Staff is friendly and most will help and guide you if you are unsure of something. They may not know personally the answer you are looking for but they will give an honest answer of what they have seen other people purchase for the same reason that you are there.
