I called, had to leave a message. That was fine. They got back to me quickly, I told them I knew a family that had 9 dogs, of which, they needed to give away 6.They just sent a strange message that said they did not take any dogs from people. No explanations as to what that meant or why or if they knew of any other place this family could count on, I was told NO. Nothing else.Well I was baffled, still am. It was cut and dried. No questions answered, no help in any way.If anyone figures out why and what they meant, please enlighten me.

Seemed very caring for my Brother's dog. The person at Ani-Care was very thorough in checking with his Manager to insure that the dog was to be released to me and I provided my ID as well. Pocket was with my brother when my Bro. passed away. Ani-care was where the Ontario police had taken Pocket until I could come to pick her up.

To all the very negative people and comments about Ani Care! My wife and I went there a while ago and had a very pleasant experience! There was a very nice, polite, and charming young lady that helped us! Remember you don't work there so you don't know what all they have to deal with. Plus you don't always see how much the workers sacrifice or how much they really care when your not there. This is said with kindness, but if the negative people on this site know so much on how to run a shelter, then maybe they should go and work there themselves and see what it really takes to be able to deal with countless animals and people.

This facility is probably the Best. A lady had a car accident. Her Dog was dropped off by the sheriff's dept. They cared for the Dog a couple day, until the lady could go to pick it up. I met her walking past my store, no car, no money, waiting for her Mother to pick her up, the Dog was in the shelter closing soon. I drove her too the shelter, it was closed but they opened and gave her the Dog. There were kennel fees , she had no money, This Shelter forgave the fees. She was crying holding her dog. I took her to her totaled car, they were closed, I dropped her and her Dog at Pilot, called her Mother. Bought her a pack of cigarettes. And She waited untill her mother picked her up. All worked out .BECAUSE THIS SHELTER CARED, NOT ONLY FOR ANIMALS, BUT THE HUMAN ASPECTS. THANK GOD FOR THESE PEOPLE AT THIS SHELTER.This is a no kill Shelter, I have picked up many dogs and 2 cats since 2005. I have dropped off dog food. There are many ways too help, the kennels are clean. Dogs well kept. Like I said Thank God for these caring people and this Shelter.

I got my dog from Ani-Care about 8 months ago. My review is late due to starting a new career and being just plain forgetful, but I wanted to say something because these folks do good, loving work with little in return. The place is well kept and the dogs seem to get enough attention. There were a few minor frustrations with coordinating a meeting time to view the dogs but once the owners arrived they were more then helpful. From what I could tell, the family that runs this shelter does so because they care deeply for animals and want to do something good for the community. They charge very little for their animals(less then the shelters near where I live) and went out of their way to make sure the pup I chose had a bath before our long drive home.I think the thing that stuck out the most to me about this shelter is that is was entirely a family run operation in which they were clearly doing it for the good of the dogs and not to make money. Give these folks the benefit of the doubt if you run into any minor frustrations like I did with coordinating a meeting time. They are good people doing good work.

The owners put so much time and love into this business for the dogs that are found and surrendered. I have adopted 3 wonderful dogs from here and fostered alot of dogs to get them ready for their new homes.

Would have liked to give no star, but site does not allow it. Adopted a pet and was told the $100 I paid for him would go to having him fixed and given shots. After not hearing from them for 2weeks, with multiple messages left. I called and made him an appointment at the local vet. When they finally called me back, I asked for a refund since I had to pay for the surgery myself. They refused saying that they had made him an appointment with a different vet. Sure would have been nice if they had contacted me the week after the adoption as they had said they would. I suggest that no one give money for an animal without first having the vet appointment done.

I have to rate you cause I can't leave a message otherwise. To me Animal Shelter means good water love walks and shelter until adopted out. I was in San Diego and paid $300.00 to get one dog out of shelter I was lied to and suppose to get both of my dogs out any way the other one was adopted out and then put to sleep a month later. Anyway if people children churches schools can do fund raisers like sell cookies and lemonade stands etc. Yard sales donate a portion to saving animals besides the ones for people. I offered to give money in San Diego etc to help save animals they couldn't guarantee they wouldn't use the money to put the animals down. So I wouldn't give the money. Sad to say they would be better off being somewhat ferral and being fed by people like me who took food around the neighborhood in Sacramento California to feed homeless dogs. We already were taking care if 8 pets then and could barely do that. So if you can get family and community together to help please do. I am buying my moms cats food and my sister pays the vet bills for Thomas

We adopted a male Yorkie from this shelter from the weiser puppy mill and they were great. This dog is super sweet and was meant to be. Thank you. Signed Bud a happy dog.

Cute animals, but you'd think it's common sense to not put an overly aggressive dog with a dog that's dismissive. When the dismissive dog came up to be petted, the aggressive dog tried to attack and made the other dog cower in the corner.

very disappointing!!!Would not recommend them to anyone and if by chance your animal ends up there get them out quick!!!Very unprofessional and their excuses are unacceptable!!!! The abuse of animals should never be inflicted especially by an agency who's suppose to protect and care.

This shelter really cares for their dogs. It's not a big, heavily funded or sophisticated organization like the Humane Society, but they do great work with what they have and are great to talk with and visit.

They take animals other people can't keep an try to get them new homes. They also have animals that have owners who are incarcerated for a few days and take care of them until the owner can pick them back up.
