I signed into Safeway website on my computer and downloaded my digital coupons. When I went through the checkout line at Safeway the cash register did not take off any of my coupon discounts. I was referred to the store manager who promptly opened my Safeway phone app and said my computer did not link with my phone so the discounts were not applied. He promptly figured out how much money I was owed any immediately took it off my credit card. I rate this outstanding service and professionalism.

Safeway is my preferred grocery store. The parking is much easier than at other grocery stores. They have everything I need which I cannot say about other stores. The employees are great, especially Bram who checked me out today. He was a good representation of the Safeway brand. He did an excellent job bagging my groceries.

I do love this store. The produce always looks good and never smells fishy when going up to the fish counter. They take good care of their seafood. And we adore Tamera James and Bram, so that always makes for a great shopping experience. If all of our favorite people left or moved on to other jobs, we probably wouldn't shop here as much. ✨️

We stopped in for a wedding bouquet and before we could leave the checkout line the Manager asked if we’d like a complimentary arrangement. Tamara and Misty did a phenomenal job on our flowers. They made our wedding day very special. We would highly recommend stopping in for any flowers you may want to buy.

Store is small but seemed to have everything we needed. Parking was ok but a lot of homeless/mental people were panhandling in and around the area, not a great vacation vibe. And you don't feel safe leaving your rig in the lot.

Deli man Scott is extremely helpful and personable. He makes amazing sandwiches, a true sandwich artist.Manager DJ is an asset to the company. Very hard working and has exceptional customer service.

Some items out of stock but the service is always friendly and it is convenient to the Coastal Highway.Update 11/23 fully stocked but I wish selections of gatorade were more varied. Great staff!

We like Safeway, especially their meat and seafood. They also have a nice deli and hot case and hand-made-to-order sandwiches. We really like their chicken, bacon, ranch wrap. Delicious and only $6.99.

Decent selection of stuff for your time at the beach but the service is horrible. Nobody wants to be there, they're overworked and understaffed, and it shows in their terrible attitudes and poor service. Not a smile to be found, they don't greet you or say thank you, and put zero effort into your transaction. I hate shopping at Freddy's and would prefer to shop here, but in the future I'll find a McKay's.

Best Safeway in Oregon!I am a local, but have lived & shopped other Safeway stores throughout Oregon.. I just love this store. Great employees, always well stocked. I appreciate the variety that is well placed in a fairly small footprint! But that’s why I always shop here… it’s not a hiking trip just to get groceries!Keep on doing what your doing!

I wanted to rate this store a zero but it won't let me. The state and stop at Safeway's whenever I can. I came to this Safeway probably about 6 months ago and thought that the cashiers were very rude. I thought maybe it was just because of the person that was doing was having a bad day but I guess I was wrong. Today was the worst experience in this Safeway I've ever had. Anything way! The cashier was very rude.

They're advertised specials are excellent their Friday deals are excellent and the people are really friendly. They have since hired more cashier's and checking out goes very smoothly and quickly now that they hired more cashiers.

Never shopped at this particular Safeway before, but found it hard to find what I wanted despite frequenting other Safeways.Store was clear, shelves were well-stocked with products faced, and staff was friendly and efficient at checkout.

I dislike going in here due to the fact they never have more than two cashiers at any given time, some of their employees are incredibly rude. I only go here if they have something the other places do not. It's better if you can you the app to pick up insured if having to stop and go on yourself.

Haley from the bakery made the perfect cake and decorated it better than the photo we brought in. We were so pleased with the result. Value is top notch. At only $20 it did not break our budget! If you are looking for a talented cake decorator, take your ideas to Haley and she will knock it out of the park! We are definitely bringing our business back to the Newport Safeway bakery!

Easy to find what I'm looking for. Friendly staff and management. Customer service counter employees are always helpful.Large produce department, dairy & meat departments are usually stocked with a variety of groceries.Sally, a cashier greets customers with a smile 😊Trevor, a manager & cashier is helpful & guides you to what you're looking for.

The store was clean and the service was good. I didn't like that some special sale items were out of stock. I also did not like having to walk by two homeless types sitting by the front of the store high on something ,yelling loudly FU to some guy walking in the parking lot.

I called to find out if they had what I needed. They did. I went and easily found it. Check out was swamped but the lead called for more cashiers who promptly got all of us checked out. Good experience.

Less crowded than the much larger stores nearby (Fred Meyer and WalMart). Very friendly service, produce seems fresher than the other stores. We have always been able to get an ample amount of organic milk when we stop in. The shopping pace seems little more relaxed here as well. Our usual grocery stop when visiting Newport.

I went to pick up some things and I saw that Milk was 97 cents for a gallon if I scanned the digital coupon so I did, and when I went to check out the Cashier told me that she"Didn't do Phones " so I arguedwith her and she showed me the Sales flyer and said that there was no coupon for the Milk. I dumped out all of my items on the checkout and left. When I got home I called Customer Service and Complained about what had happened. Told the Manager what happened and that I was not HAPPY!!!.

I stopped here to get some bananas. The store doesn't have self-checkouts, which causes the line to get long, but they are really quick to open another lane to reduce the congestion.

Initial thoughts: very clean store, great coupon sales.Watch for some great sales, I try to keep my shipping limited to thus.Parking is plentiful, being in a strip mall. Two H-cap spots delineate the entry. Produce looked very fresh and leafy. Spotless, sanitized, manicured and friendly enough that I'll be back.Masks are off.... Rejoice

Deli staff very nice & great customer service at this branch. No staff shortage blamed, no limited or impacted options & no negative attitude here. Nor did this crew refuse to provide what asked for, limit slicer use, close at random & spontaneous times nor refuse making fresh hot food after lunch when out/low. This branch is advertising in the deli, Doordash delivery! This is a good Safeway store that is here to serve their customers.(Current/ongoing experiences: at one of our local Safeway, Circle St-they are/do all the no-nos above & refuse customer service; no sandwiches to order only limited premade, no restocking hot/cold cases after lunch & refuse to cook/provide more even if customers are willing to purchase large/family portions & buy more/all required to be made to get what requesting to prepare! It has impacted my loyal shopping there. I will/do drive further away per customer service standard provided & change my patronage to declare my 'home' Safeway store).

In general this is a good place to shop for groceries and the employees are nice and helpful but I gave 2 stars because Safeway has screwed up a few times lately in different ways. Today Feb 11, 2022 I bought moist mozzarella cheese, tried some when I got home and noticed this aweful, putrid smell on my hands. I finally realized the smell was from the juices of the cheese and that it had been outdated by 2 weeks!... Surprisingly it tasted OK but I definitely would not have eaten it (let alone purchased it) had I known it was outdated. Hopefully I don't get sick from eating it! Another time I was charged full price for an item that was marked down50%. For some reason their computer didn't have the sale price in it's system but the red tag clearly said 50% off.
