The pharmacy staff at this store is unquestionably the rudest and most unprofessional I’ve ever experienced. They blamed me for their mistake and refused to accommodate me. I’ll never got to this store or pharmacy again. Take your prescriptions and hard earned money somewhere else.

Did not catch the lady's name who worked 1/19 around 11:40ish am but she was horrible. She worked the drop off section. Rite Aid had messed up my prescription and instead of being kind and explaining the process, she was rude. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

horrible customer service and I’ve been waiting for 3 days to pick up my prescription yet all the other stores in the area are opened. I cannot even retrieve my subscription to take to another establishment that is actually open because RiteAid will not answer ANY calls.

I've had a great experience with the Pharmacy staff at this Riteaid until recently. I had called as was requested of me via a text from the pharmacy to update insurance coverage for my daughter. I was speaking with a woman named Missy. She was having trouble billing the insurance and I had asked her a very simple question which seemed to have frustrated her. She became quite rude. When you are working in a retail environment it is important to have some basic interpersonal skills.

Friendly and fast. Clean store and polite staff.Edit: I have been a Rite Aid customer all over the country and I have to say that this is by far the best and most efficient location in the country. The whole experience is good when I go to this location and for someone who has extreme anxiety in public, this place makes me feel particularly comfortable and not feeling so buggy.Thank you for everything!

We were great promoters of the Pharmacy for many years; prompt, efficient, kindness with a smile. Something has occurred within the last 3 months that has sadly, altered those incredible qualities. This time, very needed diabetic medication has not been filled for a week after being called in by the nursing staff at SPCH. Please increase your staff at Rite Aid. They deserve it.

Why would anyone in this area go to Walgreens instead of this Rite-Aid? The difference in the service is astounding. We made an appointment for a flu shot at Walgreens, only to arrive at our appointed time and be told that they didn't have any vaccine. They told us they would call us when it came in. Two weeks later and no call. We ended up going to Fred Meyer pharmacy, which was another good experience. But this Rite-Aid was fantastic. We arrived about 30 minutes early for our Covid vaccine appointment and they took us 5 minutes later. The pharmacist and the technician were both friendly and accommodating. They have earned all of our future business.

Pharmacy is wonderful. Don't know why I kept my prescriptions at Walgreen's for so long. There is never a long wait at Rite Aid, when they say something will be ready in an hour it's ready. They answer the phone. Staff is always friendly and pleasant. Cashiers are all friendly and efficient. Again, so glad I switched.

I am rating the pharmacy only. I have no problem with the store. I have been using this Rite aid pharmacy for about 10 years. Everything was wonderful until about 8-10 months ago. I'm not sure if it is a change in staff or maybe new store policy but my prescriptions are never ready when they should be. It's practically every time. Sometimes hours, usually days.. Complaints don't help so I am going to try Fred Meyer pharmacy. I do my shopping there anyway.

I am writing this review for the Newport, Oregon Rite Aid store. We are long time customers (over 20 years) of this store for one reason, it's employees in the pharmacy. We have all been through the worst of times since the Covid outbreak. This has brought out some of the worst in people and, unfortunately, business practices. I have watched our pharmacists and techs being asked to do more with less. Having vaccinations added to their plate with no increase in help was daunting for them to say the least. Throughout it all there was no increase in wait time to have my prescriptions filled, help over the phone lessened, or any change in treatment toward customers decline. I need to mention Missy here. She worked tirelessly, greeted me with a smile and by name, would see me in line and pitch in to pull my meds so they were ready when I got to the counter, was the first one to help me at drop off several times and always treats myself and her customers with the utmost respect. She needs to be recognized for her exemplary performance in such demanding times. I so hope the Rite Aid "powers that be" are aware that Missy is an employee that shines a light which reflects nothing but the highest of standards both on the company she works for and the customers she serves. As long as she, and employees like her, remain at Rite Aid, my family and I will remain customers.

I will never give my business to this particular store again because the Pharmacist is very pushy and rude.I was becoming a regular at this location on highway 101 in Newport. But because the Pharmacy opened at 9:00am and I was there once a month at 9:05-9:15am she started becoming more and more rude. I said“ what’s wrong?” You open at 9:00am right? After a while I was being ignored and bypassed so I switched Pharmacy. How they can get away with this kind of treatment towards customers is absolutely appalling.Maybe the pharmacist should get to work at 8:30am verses 8:55am. Stop telling your customers“I only have 2 hands”

I am very happy with my recent customer service with the Pharmacy. It has been a few years since I have been with Rite Aid Pharmacy, but with Mike's Pharmacy's recent closure, sending all of his clients to Walgreens, I had some difficulties with Walgreens, and had my prescription sent to rite aid. When i got there I had to wait all of 2 minutes and once I stepped up to the counter the pharmacy technician grabbed my script without having to even ask my name, because she remembered me from years prior. Now that there to me is customer service. It definitely made my day.

We have been using this pharmacy for over three years now since we moved to Newport. We initially went to another pharmacy and were treated so badly we took all of our prescriptions and went across the highway to Rite-Aid where we have always been treated very well and with the most professional and courteous responses to our questions and concerns. They pharmacy as well as the store have always gone out of their way to help accommodate our requests. Thanks.

Rite Aid here in Newport Oregon is the most accommodating and helpful pharmacy around, Being based in So. California but owning home in Waldport ( where we have been since January 2020 ) this pharmacy is seamless between states, all I need to do is ask them to contact my Cal. Medical team for what I need... then they keep me informed via text when they order, and again notice me when ready for pick up! I pay them online via the text , then curbside pickup, never having to get out of the truck. No in person contact...I get everything I need, even my pain meds are easy as pie to order, pay and pick up at the curb monthly. I will never switch from this fantastic nation wide company.

Don’t go there for RX’s. I was told and not in a very friendly way to come back in 2 hours for my RX’s. Came back and my RX’s where still not ready. On top of that service staff at the Pharmacy are rude. No care in the world. They are dealing mostly with elderly Patient’s who deserve more respect than that. Other people in front of me where all turned away as well. Terrible service.

This pharmacy is the worst I've dealt with my 50 years. Their communications skills are HORRIBLE, which causes my blood pressure to sky rocket and many inconveniences for someone like me that does not live in town and can't just "come back later". Even phone calls are a complete pain in the back side. It seems like most Rite Aid pharmacies are similar but the one here in Newport wins the blue ribbon. In order to keep my blood pressure from going through the roof every time I think about or have to deal with them, I'm going to just change pharmacies asap. I hope the rest in Newport are better but my guess is any place will be!

Really weird and unfriendly staff in the store and pharmacy. Got prescription wrong on at least 5 different occasions over the course of 2 years. I was treated very rudely, even though I had to come back each time to get the corrected prescription. They have attitude like you're lucky their even serving you.

Refused to fill my prescription, and are now holding it hostage and havnt transferred it as requested. Staff rude and huing up telephone. Pharmacist at another place told me theyre "often difficult" . Huge mistake on my part going here to try and save $

I had to switch to Walgreens. Every time I’d go in to get a RX, it was horrible . The last time, a woman, who I assume was a pharmacy tech, was singing. The pharmacist told her to hurry up with my order and she literally said “ I have to finish my song first “! Like REALLY?! Ugh!

I love that they have an Amazon hub here. There are times that Amazon won't ship to my po box, and this fixes that. I also appreciate the variety in brands of cosmetics compared to other stores in town.
