After decades of adopting only rescues, I've just gotten a red standard poodle puppy. He had gotten quietly sick in his crate during our two-hour drive back from Florence. We stopped in at the Pet Mart in Newport to pick out his "puppy layette." Since he'd only had one of his three required puppy shots and had soiled his crate, I carried him into the store and held him while shopping to avoid possible exposure to a doggy illness. That put a definite crimp in my ability to select the things he needed. Justin, who was restocking shelves, came to my rescue and helped me select the couple dozen things I needed for Monty. Over $500 later, Justin carried everything out to my car for me and was very helpful with Monty while I was cleaning the mess out of his crate. I've been back every week since, adding this or that to Monty's layette. Always love the fun toys that are in stock and was particularly surprised to hear from Justin during one visit that they have just started carrying Orijen dog food. This week we were back to the store to get Monty a new leash and matching raincoat. All of the staff is very friendly; all you need to do is ask a question and you will get all the help you need. Here are three photos of Monty using items from his puppy layette. I will continue to give Mini Pet Mart all of my doggy business!

Sold me rancid-smelling, spoiled dog food and then would not let me exchange it for a fresh bag. They also wouldn't refund my money. I didn't have my receipt--my dog has eaten this brand for 11 years--why would I have kept it?! I offered to show the charge on my account; they told me no. I will never spend another penny in their store. What HORRIBLE customer service! Do you really think I'm trying to scam you for a four-pound bag of dog food? Get a grip!

Great selection, usually always have the food I'm looking for, and my cat sure loves the peacock feathers. Also the best place to get cigs in town, when I used to smoke... Ooh and they have a reward punch card for repeat business. 👍

Absolutely loved this mini pet mart. Have actually never been to one before, and boy oh boy. They got everything. Lol. Even fish. Are even able to custom order fish. Like rare plecos :)) happy to know that:) and soooo many different doggy to choose from:))) will definitely return again!!!! :))

Super helpful staff in here every time we visit. So welcoming of our fur baby who we had just brought home and was nervous in the car. Love the punch card that gives you a choice to enter into a draw or scratch off for an instant discount too! Great selection and good quality products - we found exactly what we were looking for. :)

They have our dig food 80% of the time. We usually buy two bags at a time and about 10% of the time we get lucky and they'll have two bags of the same flavor. Staff seems friendly enough.

Great customer service from this sweet blonde on a scooter. Even with a broken foot she had the biggest smile and had no problem showing us around and answering questions.I can get my dog food anywhere, potentially for better prices if I shop and compare, but the service here was great so I'll continue to come back!

Was extremely busy. over charged 2.00 . 1st clerk told me they didn't carry what I wanted . ( I knew they did) he argued with me. Another clerk came behind counter and got me what I needed right away. The 1st clerk was a jerk by now and over charged and argued again with me , the customer.

Just adopted a kitten and the adoption came with a gift certificate to Mini Pet Mart. The folks there were wonderful and knew their stuff. I ended up buying a bunch of extras for the kitty simply due to their customer care. Will definitely be back. 5 stars.

I always shop at Mini Pet Mart when I’m in Oregon. They have a loyalty punch card, and the best selection of the best dog and cat food brands- trusted brands- on their shelves! My dog loves their chicken rice mini nugget bones.

I live in this town and go to this store. The past few years the customer service and the return policy has been exceptional. It helps if the customer has a friendly attitude if they need to ask for help. It is a fairly large store with a good inventory and often the employees are busy with other customers. I love the place. I didn't the first year it was open but that manager was let go and now all is well and I love going in there.
